Blazing hot, erotic menage romance (this is NOT an RH romance for those readers who want to know).

The h was irritating at times but also admirable in how (irritatingly) persistent she was. One of the H's, i found a bit cold blooded but in the end he mellowed down.

4 sexy stars!

so, this was pretty easy to read and each of the characters had their own personality, but Lacey was really annoying and a complete idiot and it was kind of ridiculous trying to believe all the guys wanted her, except for the fact that they've been going without the whole girlfriend experience for, apparently, way too long

like, she's "not dumb enough to use [her] credit card for anything," but she's stupid enough to drive her own car to the motel

even though she acknowledges that she shouldn't have talked about her rescue from Venezuela -that's where she met the men - she hasn't learned anything and continues to act in an immature and reckless manner. it was just constant, she keeps saying the words and going through the motions of trying to be mature and caring about others beside herself, but none of that actually happens - I think that self-awareness combined with absolutely doing crap with that self-awareness made it worse and made me dislike her that much more
"You don't think, little girl. You talk. And I've had about enough of that." THIS!
"She didn't get it. No matter how much danger she put herself in, she never seemed to get the potential outcome of it." AND THIS! seriously, please don't do things like this, it makes her inability to stop being stupid that much worse
also, the whole Daddy/Little Girl thing? was not into it here, felt like the characters were doing it kind of tongue-in-cheek and it just gave it a cheap feel to the interactions

this pretty much sums up Lacey, "They'd told her not to mention anything about their role in her rescue, but she hadn't been able to help herself" - she's never able to help herself

I really don't like it when authors do such a fantastic job of creating multi-faceted, lovable male characters, but can't create an equally worthy (and NOT annoying) female character - what's with dumping on the female characters?

Brian, the "nerd", was cute, "It's not a cage. It's a transit protection enclosure."

A lot of the sex dialog turned me off

I don't find this brand of sex talk to be sexy. For instance, the "you are a dirty slut" and the "ram that cum up your slut pussy" are not sexy. Neither is performing head and then kissing the guy with cum in her mouth and having him taste it sexy. Honestly, that sort of thing just grosses me out. If that's something you're into, then have at it, but it's not for me. I gave this story 3 stars because not all of the sex in this book was like that, and there were some funny and sweet moments as well. That being said, I do not recommend this book for obvious reasons.

Why 4 vs 5 stars?
This is a well written standard plot, which is not necessarily a bad thing: there are plenty of stories I read specifically because I like that type of plot. The writing quality technically & subjectively (IMO) was very good. The author does an excellent job creating atmosphere, setting & fleshing out her characters: all 5 of them. The suspense was good & credible & even the reason for the heroine to come into the control of the 5 mercenaries was logical & made sense.
I loved the guys: Rex, Chase, Col, Max & Brian, all members of an elite private & very expensive & effective security firm they owned. They were all big, tall, muscled, intelligent, hard ex-military who were superb at their profession. Each had his own personality, needs & desires, all identified as the story progressed. But they were all a TEAM, they had served together & now lived & worked together, efficiently, smoothly, professionally until Lacey (heroine) a young journalist held prisoner in South America was rescued by them 3 years earlier when they still served Uncle Sam.
Lacey: COULD. NOT. STAND. HER. AT. ALL.
Why? The guys risk their lives saving her from terrorists in South America. All they asked was never to say anything to anyone. SHE PROMISES THEM she WON'T.
What does she do? ASAP writes a story that ultimately causes all 5 men:
To be court martialed
Be DISHONORABLY discharged
To potentially be in danger for their lives
Now, fast forward 3 years. Her life is in danger so she calls Chase to help (save) her. He & the other 4 men come to her. She says 'I'm sorry' (because they're still mad at her) & then SHE gets mad because they are still upset. REALLY? SHE'S upset?
I am sorry, perhaps this was the author's way to demonstrate Lacey was fearless or intense or REALLY a TRUE journalist but all it demonstrated to me was she was beyond selfish, dangerous, a LIAR, untrustworthy, out of control, I could go on & on. I continued with the book hoping that Lacey would GROW UP & mature, but nope, didn't happen. And all I did was dislike her more & more. And it didn't matter how much each man explained to her the danger she was in as well as the danger she was placing them in by her escapades & lack of discipline, all that mattered was her & what she wanted. Oh, and the kicker? At one point in the book SHE decides THEY lied to HER: which apparently she regards as an unforgivable sin. R-E-A-L-L-Y ? ? ?
I've gone on so much about Lacey because her character ruined a very good book/story for me. It won't be a book I read again, not because it isn't well written or plotted, I just truly loathe the heroine. BUT that is just ME. Plenty of readers will like her just fine.
So, a well written book, well plotted, action, suspense, steam, Alpha males & a heroine that you may or may not care for.

Lacey is journalist that finds herself in deep sh*t again and running for her life. She calls Chase, one of the five men that saved her once before when her life was at risk during another attempt to get a story years ago. Now, they have lost their careers in the military due to Lacey's exposing them with her story of their rescue. The men, Rex, their leader, Max, Col, Chase and Brian aka Brain have formed a security unit also known as Mercinaries want nothing to do with Lacey after she ruined their lives with her story about them. Chase is the one she called when her life is in danger but he brings the whole unit to her rescue. Although Lacey is afraid for her life, she still wants to get her story out to the world and does some crazy things to try and accomplish her goal. The men have decided that Lacey will pay with her body at all times and in all ways, she must surrender and submit to their punishments. The men are all different with their anger and the ways they repay Lacey for her careless exposure of their undercover work and the destruction of their lives and careers. Each man takes over Lacey in a different way. She is used and abused but takes what they dish out because she deserves everything they hit her with. Although she is watched by all 5 guys, she still attempts to get her story told, she is a journalist after all. I loved how each man is so very different and handles Lacey in their own special way of punishment and humiliation. I have my favorite of the group and have my doubts for one in particular but time will tell whether any of them can get through to Lacey that she must learn how to give respect and consideration to the needs of others and to appreciate that she lives due to their actions. This is definitely a page turner that will keep you guessing how this could possibly work out in the end. Another unique take on a reverse harem theme from Loki Renard and another winner!

A Matter of Hard Won Trust

Rex, Chase, Max, Col and Brian had been part of an elite American military unit until one of their secret missions was reported by Lacey, a journalist who was being held hostage by the Venezuelan militia group that the American unit had been sent to destroy. Rescuing Lacey was not a planned part of their mission. Lacey had been sworn to secrecy after they returned her home, but Lacey's journalistic instincts had overridden her promise and, after reporting her story, even though she failed to use names, the group had been identified. This resulted in a major embarrassment for their agency and, ultimately, a dishonorable discharge for each of them. The group thereafter formed a private sector security company that carried out mercenary acts for hire.

Three years later Lacey contacted Chase and begged him to help her again. She was being targeted for murder by a corrupt high level Congressman whom she and a few other journalists had discovered to be involved in all sorts of illegal activities. All the other journalists involved had died, allegedly after accidents, but Lacey knew better and knew she was their next target. As Lacey is unable to pay for their services, they offer to provide protection in return for sexual favors for them. As Lacey is attempting to grasp her situation, a bullet comes through the window of Lacey's hotel room, causing the men to grab her and run.

This intriguing story concept plays itself out in interesting ways. As the men try to break Lacey's independent spirit and make her into a good and subservient soldier, in order to keep her safe and protect them all, a series of decisions and actions direct their relationships with Lacey and with one another. This story is really worth the read.

Reverse harem romance, very sexual. I loved it, more than I thought initially.

Lacey is a journalist who fears for her life. Scared after losing three colleagues with whom she was investigating corruption, she decides to ask for help from Chase, a former military officer who rescued her several years ago when she was kidnapped. She doesn't know if he's going to help her, and is surprised when she sees him arrive, not only him, but also his mates, who lost their jobs when she published her story, and they are not happy to see her. They tell her that if she wants to be helped, she must promise to submit to them, to do whatever they want. She doesn't want to accept, she doesn't want to be with all of them, but she ends up doing it.

I loved Lacey. She has her principles, she fights for them, but she's also wrong. She feels bad about the damage she did to them, that was never her intention. But that's not why she can accept everything they ask of her. Not initially. She discovers that they are not as she thought. They are good men, and they will always protect her.

I loved Chase and Max. They are the first to accept her, to defend her, and they are the ones who ask the least of her. She argued with Chase because she thought he saw her in a way, when he never did. And Max was always willing to console her.

I liked Rex, Col and Brian.

I loved the story. And, unfortunately (because of what happens in real life), the political part is very credible.

I received an ARC from the author, and this is my honest review.

Lacey is in trouble and the only person she can think of to help is the one group that wants to wash their hands to her. Chase, Col, Max, Rex & Brain were there to save her 3 yrs ago, now she needs them again but under “special conditions.” Lacey has to give herself to them. But it isn’t going to be that easy.

OMG, this book jumps right in. No stopping to catch your breath. With a bullet fired, we are off. Rex was not taking any of Lacey’s crap. His demands and the “solution” at first, I was shocked. I was like, “excuse me!” What he came up with for protection her, HOLY MOLY! But man did it get hot. I would have never even thought of that. I mean ok, when you have 5 hot guys protecting you, you think ménage but THIS, it is TOTALLY different. I loved it.

Now, we do have some trust issues going on as well. Yes, the guys have their doubts with Lacey. And one by one trust is restored but then it’s broken. You find out what happened 3 yrs ago and what is going on with the Senator but the guys are the main draw. When Lacey gets away and almost gets herself killed, once again the boys came to her rescue and punishment ensued. Now, here’s the thing Col, yeah you could figure he was going to be more hardcore DOM. But Brian, OMG this man has creativity BIG TIME. For a computer geek, he has some serious ideas. WOW! Loki you out did yourself again.

This book has an exciting premise. Secrets, corruption and intrigue. Lacey has endured more danger and life or death situations in her life that most women would never recover from. She is certainly one tough cookie. She flies by the seat on her pants. Her job puts her in great danger. The five ex military men from her past come to her aid with a very unusual deal. This is not the usual five men taking on one woman all together. There is no sharing at the same time. She “agrees?” to fulfill her half of the deal. I had a little trouble accepting the situation with at times questionable consent, but it is a dark romance so take heed of the warning. The only thing I didn’t quite feel was how the men came to believe that they loved her. Maybe it needed more interaction between all the protagonists and more character development. Having said all this I thoroughly enjoyed this story. I received a copy from Loki and leave my review. I give 4 1/2 stars. It would have been 5 stars if the book had, had more depth and feeling to it.

As a reporter, Lacey unintentionally outed the secretive elite soldiers who rescued her from a Venezuelan narco camp. After they were dishonorably discharged and their military careers ruined, they put their skills to use as a well-paid private security unit.

Fast forward three years and Lacey’s in danger again. She has damaging information that powerful politicians and Deep State types are willing to kill for. She’s desperate and knows who to ask for help, but she might not like the price.

She doesn't. Lacey rejects their terms when they tell her they want her body as payment--and they take her anyway.

While I like some of the men in this reverse harem more than the others, it’s good that they aren’t all the same. They have their own personalities, and Lacy gets something different that she needs from each of them--sexually and otherwise.

This isn’t a super dark captive romance. It’s more greyish with very erotic scenes and a wide range of kinks. I’m not a fan of all of those kinks and some were even a little off-putting, but not everyone enjoys the same thing.

OMG, another hot and filthy story from Loki Renard. This time around, we have Lacey, a journalist, and the 5 men who rescue her.

Once upon a time, Lacey was kidnapped by Venezuelan militia members who thought that she was a spy and tortured her. Meanwhile, in the same jungle, an elite military group was getting ready to raid those guys. They managed to save Lacey, even though she wasn't part of their mission. In return, she wrote a huge story and outed them, which got them kicked out of the military.

Three years later, Lacey ends up in trouble again, and all she can think to do is to call Chase to come save her again. Chase does, but he also brings Col, Rex, Max, and Brian, the rest of his team, and they are going to get their own back from her.

Very hot story, with lots of great sex. It's got 5 relationships woven into one larger story and romance. I like how the relationship that Lacey has with each of the guys is different and managed to meet some kind of need that isn't met by someone else. That's the nice thing about reverse harems.

“Give no quarter and take it all…”

SHAMEFULLY SHARED: A Dark Reverse Harem Romance written by Loki Renard absolutely delivered what I expected from the blurb! Military men action, suspense and HOT claimings!

When Chase receives an SOS again from Lacey because he was the only one who could help, Chase was all for it because he couldn’t forget her, but was the rest of his team willing to do so? After she had burned them for all their efforts three years ago, most of the team was willing but for Col, who harbored outright resentment for what had happened. These are five smart men, highly skilled, equipped with the right resources but short on time and patience. But, in the end, they CAN be counted on to get the job done - keep her safe. The price, however, was offering herself in exchange, something which they wasted no time with in negotiations.

A new reverse harem Book by Loki Renard.

Lacey needs protection and who better than a 5 men Elite security team. The only problem, they have a history together and not a very good one.

Lacey is very stubborn and goes after what she wants without thinking about the consequence. That is an attitude that doesn’t go over very well with the team.

What I loved about the book is that they are all very different, but also rounded characters. lacey has a unique relationship with each of the men and that is something I really enjoy while reading a RH book.

I don’t consider this book very dark, but it definitely has some dub-con content. It is panty melting hot and it also made me laugh.

It is a wonderful book.

I received this book from Stormy Night Publications as an advance review copy

Loved this story Highly Recommend you read it!!

I have laughed so hard it was so sweet and so twisted but it worked! She's on the run wanted dead by a senator because she knows all his dirty secrets and she only knows of one person she can call Chase the Mercinary that saved her life all those years ago. Well not only Chase you have Rex the leader (Daddy), Col, Max, and Brian. 5 men she ends up falling in love with its a very unusual love story to say the least LoL there were so many moments I don't think I've ever laughed so hard the way she tells the story it's so easy to picture everything like the dildo she throws and breaks the window with earning her a spanking by daddy LoL trust me you will love this story 5 men alone in the woods with one menstrual woman LoL need I say more??

This was an interesting read. I love reading stories by this author and this one was no exception.

It all started with Lacey writing a story that she shouldn't have. She was captured and rescued by American soldiers. She was asked by them not to write the story but she did it anyway. Her story causes them to be dishonorably discharge from the military. She calls one of them years later because she needs help again. Rex, Chase, Max, Col and Brian agree to help her with some conditions attached. She agrees and develops a connection with each of them. Will they be able to protect her from her enemy and make something more permanent?

Finding Safety

This story is very good, it has a bit of action with the sniper... I liked the flow of the storey but I would have like just a little more action adventure. She was being hunted so I kinda felt it would have been interesting to have her hit team find her at least once so the guys could save her from the bad guys. Then when she goes to the TV station it also could have been written to include some of the sniper hit team interactions with Col rather than an afterthought by someone later. But the story is pretty good and it is fast moving. This is probably one of the first stories I have read that has sex machines as part of a reverse harem... These guys are all completely different but all pretty Dominant too.

This book was hot! Lacey is a journalist who's in trouble when she contacts a group of men who helped her in the past to assist her now she realizes that this help will come with a cost because in the past she's betrayed them. Unfortunately she's unaware about what it will cost her. The guys are hot and even though they plan to use Lacey they are committed to protecting her from those that want to hurt her. The sex is hot and helps lead to some very interesting character development between Lacey and the guys and allows the to grow as a couples/group. The ending was surprising and very enjoyable I didn't want the book to end! Great story.

WOW! WOW! WOW! That really says it all.

I love this story of an inquisitive, investigative reporter and the 5 men who agree to save her FOR THE SECOND TIME. Her life is on the line, yet she cannot seem to follow orders. The men take turns finding special ways to "help her learn."

This book became so intense and exciting at times, I had to stop reading and focus on something else, anything else. Except, didn't want to. I couldn't stay away! In minutes (or seconds) I was right back, drawn in to becoming an undeniably eager voyeur to some unique, extremely hot discipline!

Loki Renard's writing never fails to suck me in, entrap me and make me wish it went on forever.

I really enjoyed this. It had much more depth than the other "reverse harem" books I've read. Each of the men had distinct personalities and there was a plot to go along with all the hot sex. The need to protect Lacey from herself as well as the outside "cabal" who are after her makes for a good story. The former military mercenaries work well together as a unit and Lacey begins to fit in and then things blow up in everyone's face. I was a little disappointed in one reaction to the action, but to say more would be to spoil things. If you like Loki Renard or the "reverse harem" set up, you'll probably like this.

Sexy, sweet, exciting, dirty, and yummy. That's how I describe the latest story by Loki Renard. Her stories make me feel like I've been pulled through every emotion know to man, or woman, I guess. There are moments that make my heart race, wondering what's going to happen next. There are other parts that heat me up faster than mid-day in a desert, and I can't forget about the parts that make my eyes well with tears of sorrow and joy. It's easy to fall in love with her hunky heroes, which number 5 in this book, and the female characters are easy to relate to. It makes it easy to slip into the story and not so easy to put it down. This is a must read for anyone who loves the RH genre.

disappointed tbh

what can I say, its too superficial with nor enough depth. if you just want a bit of titillation then I guess this could suffice but the whole plot is too flimsy.

theres zero consent in this book, not just about sex but the issue with her research thats put her on the run in the first place. she wants it deleted to try n get those after her to stop their pursuit yet the guys lie, pretend to delete it, steal it n sell it on unbeknownst to her.

shes treated like a body to fuck, nothing more.

I dont find this romantic, it does nothing for me, it literary porn, thats it.

not for me

A Dark Romance

I've enjoyed other books written by Loki Renard; this book is definitely is darker then her earlier books. There is some bdsm in and alot of hot sexual scenes going on. All the characters have very different personalities that sometimes seem like they want to take over the whole story for themselves. However, she somehow makes them all work together and makes this a great book. There are some scenes that could be a trigger for some people and if you don't like crude language then don't get this book. Otherwise, ENJOY and be prepared for a ride.

Shamelessly hot and delightful

I loved the beginning of this book, it drew me in and I couldn't put it down. Lacey deals admirably with the crazy mix of individuals she is tied ;) to. Each one brings out a different aspect of her personality and her sexual tastes. It's a voyage of discovery and it's a lot of fun. The erotic scenes are uber hot, varied and compelling. I liked the contrast of the emotional interplay and the plot twists very much. I'm happy to say Lacey remains her sense of identity and strength, right to the rather surprising HEA.

So the sex was really really hot in this and the story line wasn't bad but the characters themselves is what bothered me. They seemed underdeveloped or maybe our of sorts if that makes sense. It was as if I was reading about a person but the personality didn't fit the description. I just couldn't wrap my head around how they all interacted together it was like personalities from a bad boy band rather than badass military men, maybe more backstory on the characters would have helped to bring it all together a little better.

This is the first reverse harem romance I’ve read, and I’m sorry I started here because surely everything after this will be downhill.
I loved how Lacey had very different relationships with each of her five men. The tension and danger of her situation was palpable. The sex scenes were roaringly hot. I also liked the relationships between the five men and how they worked as a unit. It felt believable to me that they could share one woman.
This is a complete story with no cliff-hanger. I’m looking forward to reading more by this author.

I knew from the warnings on the blurb that this was going to be darker than what I normally read. It did push me outside of my comfort zone as a reader, but it was a bit meh. Yes, there are some very steamy scenes, but it just felt forced at times. Perhaps a bit unrealistic? While I understand the premise of the novel isn’t about everyday occurrences, it still felt unrealistic even for the plot. It was alright as a novel, I enjoyed it well enough, but it just wasn’t for me.

A definite read for lovers of this genre.

I enjoyed this take on a reverse harem romance. The author offers a wide range of loving that will bring the heat level for many. Lacey was the perfect woman for the men that had different kinks, some naughty and some unusual. Overall an enjoyable read that kept me interested and if you love to read this genre this is definitely for you.
