Emma Tharp is the USA Today Bestselling Author of The Bluff Harbor Series, Keeping It Casual, Drawn to Dark, and the McLoughlin Brother Series. She was raised in upstate New York. Being an only child, she spent a great deal of time alone, dreaming up characters who would keep her company on long family road trips. Putting her writing on the back burner, she went to college and became a chiropractor. After spending twelve years healing patients, Emma decided—with the help of her amazingly supportive husband—to use the creative side of her brain and let her characters come to the page. If she’s not writing, Emma can be found at the gym, one of her kids sporting events, Starbucks, or a live music event. A perfect day for Emma would be spent at her lake house with her husband, two ginger-haired children, and Vizsla, reading a book and drinking a large cup of coffee (or wine) with music playing in the background.
I would classify this as cute and believable for the most part. It really isn't anything exciting but it was a good story and the characters are great.

3.5 stars - This book was alright! It was a novella so it was super short but a good time for what it was. There was nothing AMAZING about it or anything but I think it was a fine story!
This is the first book in this series by this author. OMG, what an amazing read, I just couldn't put this book down and read it so quickly. I fell in love with the characters from the start. This is a hot and steamy romance filled book. When I finished I was left wanting more, glad I had book 2 to start straight away. I can't wait to read more in this series and by this author in the future.
Highly recommended series I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book www.obsessedbookreviews.com
Moving on is the perfect title for this book. For my first book of Emma's, this was a cute and sweet read. It isn't very long but you get a nice storyline with a good group of characters.
Scarlette is surrounded by bad luck. Everything is going horribly for her. But when she finds out her boyfriend is cheating on her, that is the last straw. So she books a ticket to Ireland and heads out. Which is where she ends up bumping into her friend's ex, Braeden. They are both attracted to each other, even though they know it shouldn't happen. But sometimes things just happen.
Moving On (McLoughlin Brothers Book 1) By: Emma Tharp Sometimes When Life Gives You Lemons... It's Up To You To Add Sugar & Make Lemonade! There's NOTHING better than "Moving On" with Someone you already know... HE... was dating her friend, & then, they broke-up! BUT, supposedly, he's an @$$HOL€... BUT, nobody... AND I mean NOBODY knows why!! Well, she's not at Home; she's in Ireland... AND... HE'S Nice, Helpful, Sweet, Caring, Supportive, not to mention HOT as H€LL... In short, he's everything he's NOT supposed to be... WTH is up with THAT!! Well, As the saying goes... Dorothy, You're not in Kansas anymore!!! Sooo, I guess it's time for this Gal to throw the HomeTown RuleBook out the window... Hmmmm, Maybe it's time to start Acting & Playing by her OWN Rules... Rules where he's NOT off limits... Rules where he's NOT Persona Non Grata... Rules where Maybe SHE will be "Moving On" & starting fresh... Rules where Maybe, just Maybe, she'll TAKE, CLAIM, & LOVE the @$$HOL€, who's really NOT... BECAUSE, There's really NOTHING better than "Moving On" with Someone you already know... Even though I already Owned Emma Tharp's "Moving On (McLoughlin Brothers Book 1)," I'm reviewing it as an ARC via Booksprout. I am, however, delighted to recommend this excellent book solely based upon its own merits. All opinions expressed within this review are uniquely my own & freely given. Until next time... Happy Reading!
This was such a fast, fun read!! I really loved the setting and now Ireland is on the top of my list of places I want to go! I loved Lettie’s relationship with her Grandma, and the history behind her trip to Ireland. For such a short book there was a lot of character growth and I could really feel the chemistry between Lettie and Braeden. Braeden’s brothers, Fiona, and Amelia were great side characters that made the book a more enjoyable read!
Needing the escape from life, Scarlette heads to Ireland for the trip she originally planned with her grandmother. But since Grandma is not well enough for travel, she goes it alone. Throw in the fact that she is newly unemployed on top of newly single since finding her beau of several years doing the booty scooty with some random in their bed, she was desperate to get away.
Never in a million years did she expect to fine Braeden McLoughlin, the breaker of her old friends heart, sitting at the same bar in Dublin. And never did she expect him to be her knight in shining armor when her bad luck shines down once again.
Braeden is known for being a player, a womanizer. But he’s the exact opposite with Scarlette, so when he proposes a vacation fling, she jumps at the opportunity to get her some sexy time.
The trip is perfect, as is their time together, but when unfortunate events send her home early they leave that all behind in Ireland.
Or do they???
Definitely a quick, fun, sexy read with a HEA that will leave you smiling like a loon :)
This story had all the feels in it even if it is a forbidden love. I just love how the story was set up and flowed smoothly. Poor Scarlette has the worse luck in the world. SHe has lost her job, her grandmother gets seriously sick and she finds her boyfriend cheating. She has had enough and decides she needs a vacation and she is going to take one by herself to the land of luck Ireland.
Once she gets there she sees a familiar face Braeden her friends ex and good God almighty is he a walking and talking God! He is everything a man should be and more and poor Scarlette can't get her mind out the gutter when Braeden offers her a deal she can't pass up. Spend the vacation with him and have a friends with benefits and enjoy Ireland . At first she doesn't want to do it because of her friend but the chemistry between the two of them is undeniable and they give it a go and what happens is a wild ride in the land of luck IRELAND!!!!!!!!!!!
Scarlette is taking a break in Ireland after her life starting crumbling around her She has lost her job, her grandmother has had a stroke and to top it of her boyfriend cheated on her While in Ireland she runs into Braeden McLoughlin who is there with his brothers He is the ex boyfriend of a friend so she already knows him. He is the perfect vacation fling and with no strings attached just what she needs but as emotions become involved will he become so much more. This is the 1st book in the “Mcloughlin Brothers” series, and it is an exciting fast pace read. It is well-written and the characters are well developed. The chemistry between Scarlette and Braeden is intense and potent and flew off the pages. What started out as a vacation fling turned into so much more; together they make an amazing couple. The storyline is emotionally deep, heart-felt, sexy, and hot. It is funny, well-developed, consistent, and quite frankly a really good read. Strongly recommended. Moving on is a story of Scarlette, a scorned woman who is down on her luck. She takes the vacation her grandmother and her planned and runs into Braeden, a friends ex. It’s clear from the beginning that there are s a connection between them, and what was to be just in the moment turns into so much more. I absolutely loved this book, and the secondary characters of Jackson, Amelia and Patrick make this story phenomenal. I look forward to reading about the other two brothers.

The book was so thin that I didn't think it would be very good but I did enjoy it. I could relate to Scarlette and the bond she shared with her grandmother. All in all the book was short but sweet :)

A quick and easy read on the shorter side. Well written with nice story line and plot. Characters well described. Story flows nice of the pages. The heroin has had a lot thrown down at her and now she has hit the bottom. Hero comes and tries to save her. Recommendable read.
Excellent stories. Hot and steamy, emotional, loving, heart warming, some heartbreak and so much more. These brothers each have their own story of love and life. I highly recommend them. It is so enjoyable. I was given a review copy on booksprout and voluntarily review it.
Scarlette has been given the REALLY short end of the stick the past few months. She lost her job, her boyfriend cheated on her, and her grandmother has taken a turn for the worse. She had been planning on taking a trip to Ireland with her grandmother, but after she had her stroke, she knew she needed a change of scenery. The poor girl, literally everything that could go wrong at the beginning of the story, did.
Enter Braeden FREAKING McLoughlin. Sexy, Swoon Worthy, Protective, and her friend's Ex. Which is a huge no no according to girl code. But he makes it pretty hard to resist as he literally sweeps her off her feet- in a crazy fling- just while they are in Ireland.
I really enjoyed this book. There are a few things that don't really make sense with the story, but it was a great light romance read if you do not look too much into it! I give it a solid 4 out of 5 stars and I will be reading the second one and continuing on with Book 2 of The McLoughlin Brothers Series!
*voluntarily and honestly reviewed the ARC I received from the author*
It took me a while to get into this but I thought the story had a really cute idea, and who doesn't like vacationing in Ireland? Lettie had nothing but bad luck for a while and meeting a friend's ex on what was supposed to be a vacation for two turned out to be the one thing she needed. I thought Brae was a total sweetie and it was good of Lettie to enjoy her time there rather than dwell on the negativity. For some reason, I just couldn't click with this, so at times I felt like I was getting a lot of details of Lettie them's actions but not so much detail that I'd get to be in depth with them, if that makes sense. Like with the way the writing style was, I was surprised I wasn't feeling them more, but again, I think it was just because I couldn't click with it. But if you like the idea, try it out.
