Predator and prey. Soleil is a Valkyrie—the quintessential huntress—and she’s on a mission. Unfortunately, she’s also broken the rules. Now agents of Valhalla hunt her. And they’ll destroy anything that gets in their way. Even her loved ones.
To keep her family and friends safe, Soleil distances herself from them—at great personal cost. Her only chance at a happy ending is to complete her assignment before she’s found. But she can’t do it alone. So she enlists the help of the one person whose survival doesn’t matter to her—a person who also wants her dead.
The unlikely duo flees to Egypt and begins their pursuit. It’s not long before a rogue faction and the agents of Valhalla find them. Compounding her problems? Her trickster boyfriend, Titan, is also searching for her. He’s closing in, putting himself in great danger. And she’ll do anything to keep him safe.
It’s a race against time, villains, and all of Valhalla. The odds are against Soleil. Will she find and kill her target before her enemies find and kill her?
Stacy Claflin writes about complex women overcoming incredible odds. Whether it's her Gone trilogy of psychological thrillers, her ongoing Transformed paranormal saga, or her Seaside Hunters sweet romance series, Stacy's three-dimensional heroines shine through.
Decades after she wrote her first stories on construction paper and years after typing on an inherited green screen computer that weighed half a ton, Stacy realized her dream of becoming a full-time author.
When she's not busy writing or educating her kids from home, Stacy enjoys watching TV shows like Supernatural, Pretty Little Liars, and Once Upon a Time.
Tons of adventure for Soleil and her magical companions ends in an even bigger cliffhanger!😱 June 24, 2018 Format: Kindle Edition 👍4 and a bit stars Totally clean, fast-paced supernatural chase adventure that's well-written and, even without reading previous Claflin shifter books, fairly easy to follow. As Valkyrie Soleil races from spot to spot just ahead of the divine squad seeking to retrieve and punish her, she keeps moving towards her goal of locating and removing a wicked dictator. I liked Soleil, who tries to shelter her friends and Titan, the mesmer roommate she has grown to love, from getting caught up in her battles and punishment. But she's been such a good, loyal friend, decent even to Eveline, the witch who attempted to kill her (twice!) in the previous book in the series, that her friends don't want her to go it alone and keep defeating her efforts to evade their involvement. Scuffles, all-out battles, and a lot of magic play into this part of her adventure, a large part of it set in Northern Egypt.🌴
While I enjoyed the thrilling and imaginative ride, I was disappointed that there were more loose ends to the cliffhanger it ended with than even in the previous book. It left me anxious and unsatisfied because, after all that adventure, there's an even larger mess to right if Soleil and Titan are ever to find even an HFN!
I read a complimentary advance copy of the book; this is my voluntary and honest review.
I was looking forward to this book because I was curious to find out if Soleil can finish her mission and get away without being punished by Valhalla's agents. This time Soleil leaves Tristan in a Vampire castle to find her next target - the dictator - in Egypt. Since her friends won't let her leave alone, she has to take Evelyn with her - the witch who wants her dead. Fortunately Roska puts Evelyn under a spell so she can't harm but only help Soleil on her mission. If you read the first book, you know that this is an interesting combination. So Soleil and Evelyn are trying to find the dictator while Tristan tries to find out where Soleil went. Soleil is attacked by Valkyrie hunters who Tristan will trick later so they all get away unharmed. The search for the dictator is more difficult than expected and when you think they're finally able to fulfill her mission, the story takes an unexpected but very interesting turn before ending in an even bigger cliffhanger.. Stacy you got me hooked! I've received an ARC in exchange for my honest review.
Pursued Valkyrie is the second book in Stacy Claflin’s Valhalla’s Curse Series. These books absolutely have to be read in order. This book picks up exactly where the first book ends. Soleil is still looking for the dictator and she is close to finding him, the Valhalla is still searching for her, she still loves Tritan, and she still has amazing friends willing to do whatever needed to keep her safe.
I love that while this is a series, the books are short, full of action, and are being released close together. The action makes the story move quickly while not losing any of the connections between the reader and the characters. I am entirely invested in the characters, the plot, and the outcome of Soleil’s missions. I managed to read each book in a single sitting and look anxiously forward to continuing the series when I finish.
Renegade Valkyrie - It's a cliffhanger. Well written and intriguing, I didn't feel lost when past happenings or characters were referenced; I had only read Lost Wolf. The characters are interesting and some are funny; looking forward to their continued growth. I do think Soleil has too many weaknesses for a Valkyrie when battling or teleporting or with T, but that's my opinion about someone with her age and experience and purpose. 4*
Pursued Valkyrie - Well written and intriguing, with interesting characters. I enjoyed this book as much as I did the first. The storyline keeps the reader glued to the pages. I recommend having both books, since it's difficult not to chain read them. I volunteered to review Ms. Claflin's books. 4*
Pursued Valkyrie is the 2nd book in the Valhalla’s Curse series by Stacy Claflin.
This picks up shortly after where Renegade Valkyrie left off.
Soleil and a surprising travel companion take off to work on Soleil’s mission to hunt down the evil dictator.
An added bonus for those that have read the Curse of the Moon series, you will get to revisit some old friends. The author does an excellent job of explaining who the characters are, so if you haven’t read the other books, you won’t be lost.
It was an action-packed book full of surprises with an ending that will have you anxiously awaiting book #3.
I couldn’t put this one down and read it in one sitting the day I received it.
I received this book as a gift and I am voluntarily reviewing it.
( I received a digital copy of the book. Thanks to Stacy Claflin !!!! )
There's been a very interesting turn of events. All the while I was at the edge of my seat. I think I barely even blinked during the climax , so absorbed was I. I've mentioned this a lot before but truly, the author does have some amazing way with climaxes. She always leaves you wanting for more and this one was no exception. Infact this is one of my most favourite books by the author.
I like the pair of Titan and Soleil. They are cute. Titan went to quite some lenghts to find her. Hopefully it all pays off.
I enjoyed this just as much as the first one. There's so much going on and with a great cast of characters it makes you just keep turning the pages. A few twists and turns and even more interest to the story. I knew there would be a cliffhanger ending and if course it was done well. Can't wait for the next installment
I received Pursued Valkyrie, book 2 of the Valhalla's Curse series, from the author/publisher (via BookFunnel). The gifting did not determine the review/rating, which reflects my honest opinion. An excellent continuation of the first book. Soliel is such a fun protagonist with a sly mind to get herself out of tough situations. Plenty of twists and turns to keep the reader glued to the book.
Soleil needs to accomplish her mission in order to escape Valhalla”s messengers. But she wants to do it alone, so she’s has to ditch Titan , for his own safety’s. And now she is going to Egypt with the help of Eveline, the witch who wanted to revenger her sister’s death by Soleil. Will she be able to accomplish her dangerous mission?
I enjoyed this second book in the series. It has a lot of action and adventure as she is teamed with someone she didn't trust. They have quite a dangerous journey with lots of surprises. The ending leaves you wanting answers as it is a big cliffhanger.
I loved the second book even more then first. Author really knows how to keep you on the edge of you seat. Soliel has been traveling with evelin a witch who wanted to kill her but they are friends now. Her boyfriend comes along and she is giving three new missions plus her own to finish. Can't wait to see what happens next.

Book two continues where the first left off with Soleil on the run. It's fast paced and exciting with a host of interesting characters. Soleil has found a new love and left him behind to protect him but he's got on her tail. 4.8 🌟
That's screwed up that they stopped her r b4 she got 2 finish her job. It was interesting that brick gave her his blessing 2 find love again. Even though she fought it 4 so long it was good that he did find her and help with a least a pack mate and a unique love/hate witch. Lol
Another rollercoaster ride with Soleil and her friends.. these books just make you want to jump in and join them in all their battles against the enemy! and that cliffhanger!!! Can't wait for the next one... Well done Ms Claflin!
I'm beginning to wonder if the poor vailkyrie and her love are ever going to get a break, After he has already lost one love and been left heartbroken. ..So now it's time to get the next book read
Keeping Soleil's story interesting! Love how this story is progressing, and that she also gets a bit more time with old friends. Also am a fan of ancient Egyptian stuff so happy for that tie-in.
