Skye MacKinnon is a USA Today & International Bestselling Author whose books are filled with strong heroines who don't have to choose.

She embraces her Scottishness with fantastical Scottish settings and a dash of mythology, no matter if she's writing about Celtic gods, cat shifters, or the streets of Edinburgh.

When she's not typing away at her favourite cafe, Skye loves dried mango, as much exotic tea as she can squeeze into her cupboards, and being covered in pet hair by her tiny black cat (who's secretly a demon).

*I received a free copy of this book which I voluntarily chose to write an honest review for.

Wow what a great finale for this truly awesome series. Wyn is trying to embrace her new Goddess powers but it is really hard to do that when war is at her doorstep while her mother is fading away day by day. Trying to keep it all together just gets harder when they push her to go through with the coronation as well. As the drama builds the secrets start coming out and each new revelation leads us to another twist on the road to the final scene. This is a wonderful wrap up to this series that has held my attention since book one. If you like paranormal RH novels then you should really try this series. I really liked it so I give it 4/5 stars.

Oh my goodness! Reading this is bittersweet, I have read this series from the start as they came out and it is sad to see Wyns story end, but what a way to end a series! It is exciting, questions get answered and the story comes full cycle. We get to me some old friends again and there is also some light relief from one of my favourite characters!

Parts of the story gave me the feels and as a whole the story made me smile. This is an epic nd stunning conclusion to what has been a fabulous journey for not only Wyn but to the reader as well, I absolutely loved it and I have to say that this is my favourite book in the series, I highly recommend this book nd the series

I absolutely loved this series and found this last book in the series absolutely wonderful. There were a lot of questions and secrets that got explained and twists and turns that kept me glued to the pages until the very last pages. I am sad to see these characters go because I thought every story was steamy, exciting, and also funny at the same time. I fell in love with the characters and really like how each one was different so no two acted the same. This was a spectacular way to end this series and I will definitely be reading it again in the future.

This was a fantastic conclusion to the series. It was exciting and steamy. I've become quite attached to Wyn and all of her Guardians. I've been looking forward to the final battle that's been being built up and it was as exciting as i'd hoped for.

Laurel Schroeder's narration has grown on me. She did a good job bringing the emotion to life.

This was the least painful book of the entire series...which is not saying a lot. I honestly wish these books didn’t exist, they aren’t suitable for any audience. The language and actions of the main characters fit the youth audience, but there is too much sex. I can’t imagine grown people enjoying this series - I relate more to the queen Beira than I do with Wyn.

Wyn, Wyn, Wyn...I want to chastise you for your immaturity and teach you how to be an adult. You are 22 but you act, talk, and think like a 16 year old. Make it stop!

Relationship wise: The sex scenes were horrendous. I’m talking so, so bad that I started skipping them. Here is how the sex scenes go...they kiss then she lays down (on her back) and the men take turns between her legs. Wyn is essentially their blow up doll. Make it stop!!

PLEASE DON’T READ THESE BOOKS!! They are so bad! If I didn’t have OCD I wouldn’t have finished them, but I was literally compelled. I wish that wasn’t the case.

This is the first series in which I've bought the books, minus book 1 which I was given to for free for a review. Rarely do I spend money on audiobooks, much less regular/physical books. I usually get them for free from sites/pages offering free ones for review; so I read/listen to a good variety of stories. Needless to say, this was an interesting series. I loved the characters and it was easy to get pulled into the story, hence why I had to buy the rest of the books in the series.

The narrator did an awesome job. She has a beautiful voice and did great with the accents she provided for each character as well.

Questions/Comments:

My biggest question relating to book 4 involves how Wyn’s powers increased so much before she was declared queen/had her coronation. It’s like people suggest she should be queen and bam! She’s superwoman.

Why Wyn learns that Blaze has left/disappeared, she figures he doesn’t want to be around all the humans. So all the people in this magical world, minus the gods/goddesses and guardians are all humans?

Blaze wants to help Wyn relax so he sends her off to a calming place in her head, this was done after she touched his horn. Anyways, before she “leaves,” she asks him how long she’ll be gone. His response is that no one will know she’s gone. Yet, when she comes back, one of the guardians (forgot which one) tells her that she’d been gone for several minutes.

Wyn gets blown up. She wakes up naked and wonders about her lack of clothing. She’s told that they were worried that had they put new clothes on her, the fabric might heal to her body. Yet, she was covered with a blanket…

Wyn has become so much more than she ever believed possible but she still wishes she could go back to her old life.
She misses time alone with her men which is rare now there is so much going on.
The balance is so important or life and magic will cease to be the same.
The fight will be dangerous and brutal but Wyn is ready to take on her enemies with power unseen.

I loved this book with Wyn being so different from the first book and taking her new responsibilities fairly well.
Unfortunately there is much loss and a bitter fight will be the only thing to set the balance right.
I so long to see more scenes with her guardians and I hope that happens in the sequel book.
I loved sparklies.. That just made this absolutely amazing for me but I must admit I just love the adrenaline that courses through every chapter.
I am not ready to let this character go yet and thank everything in the universe that it will continue.
The guardians are so endearing and precious that it makes one jealous of that level of devotion.
This was a literary perfection that took my breath away with its intensity and emotion.

Wow, just wow! I knew going into this it would be the final book. And while it is the last book of Wyn's story it's not the last books or series n this world from Skye MacKinnon. As we saw in the last book at the end she became a Goddess, no longer a demi-goddess. Something unheard of. But that's not the end of it. Angus and The Morrigan are still out there, forcing war, risking and risking everyone Wyn loves.

Beira is still weak and doesn't look like she will recover in time so Wyn will have to be in charge. And have to take more responsibility that she neither wants or think she's ready for. But will have to take on. Her men, her guardians will stick by her no matter what and she has the allies of many gods and goddesses. Can she take this fight? Can she have her happy ending?

Wyn has grown so much not just in magical strength but inner strength and shes working so hard for everyone else that she doesn't get much time with her men. But when she does? So worth it.but Wyn is the warrior goddess here. Not just to fight for herself but for her realm.looking forward to he next series in this realm!

As this book opens Wyn is now a goddess having died and visited the Library of Lives again. It also gets very steamy with Frost.

As Wyn is about to open the Council session, she is interrupted with news of a vistor, one she wasn't sure she'd ever see again, the unicorn Blaze.

He comes bearing news of of the missing Guard Ada and the guardians under her. They appear to be in the Dragon Realm, and the Dragons want to meet. They have shaken the hold Morrigan had on them and want to support Wyn in the upcoming battle.

I love seeing Wyn with all her men, Frost, Storm, Arc and Crispin. This particular journey could be dangerous and also could be the turning point in her favor against Angus and Morrigan.

Another fake Crispin kidnaps Flora, the Spring Goddess, and the startling discovery of the Autumn Goddess.

I hate seeing a series end, especially when I love the world and all the characters. This book was the perfect ending, with plenty of action, suspense, laughter, love and of course the undeniable sizzle the guys are so very good at.

I'm not sure which of Skye's series I will go to next, but I am pretty sure whichever one it is I will love it!

I listened to the audiobook version of this book.
First of all, the author did an amazing job writing this entire series. These characters are well developed and as a listener I got attached to Wyn and all her men. I love that the author is able to incorporate so much raw emotion in this series. I also enjoyed getting to the grand finale battle that the author has built up over the series. Hopeless romantic that I am, I can't help but to love that this is a happily ever after for Wyn and her men. This was a satisfactory ending to a great series with fabulous characters.

I wasn't the biggest fan of this narrator in book one; but as the series has progressed, she has grown on me and I can't imagine anybody else doing a better job as Wyn. I think the narrator took the raw emotion the author incorporated and brought them to light.

ALSO, I loved the Unicorn!

This was an amazing conclusion to this series! It was just as fast paced, action filled, and steamy as the first three. Wyn is finally forced to take her mothers position, become queen, and fight for her people. There were many twists, turns, and secrets in this book leading up until the very end. I loved that this book came full circle and didn’t leave too many loose ends. I feel like the characters, world, and story as a whole were well developed and intriguing. Although I wish it didn’t have to end, I felt like it was written well and I have to check out more books by Skye!
Laurel was fantastic yet again with her narration! I’m definitely going to have to check out some of the other books that she narrates because I love her voice and ability to bring the characters and story to life.

This is a NON-SPOILER REVIEW of Winter Goddess by Skye MacKinnon. This fourth book in the Daughter of Winter series is a spectacular culmination to Wynter's journey to the Realm and her transition to Goddess. I loved these reads and was totally invested in Wynter's acceptance of her fate. The twists in the storyline kept me enthralled and unable to put this book down. Prepare for an action packed, heart pumping, emotionally draining and totally satisfying read that keeps up the sexy banter between Wyn and her Guardians and brings this storyline to an amazing conclusion. Mature Readers Suggested. This series must be read in series order to get the maximum enjoyment out of the series.

I can’t believe this series is over! I absolutely loved Wyn and her Guardians!
Ms. MacKinnon did a great job of finishing their story. What an amazing ending!
Wyn has more heartache to go through before she can defeat the evil goddess, but are her new powers enough to defeat the Morrigan? New allies are formed, and traitors are discovered. I love the mix of gods and goddesses in this series. Plus, dragons!
I am excited to hear that Ada and her men and Thor’s daughter will be getting their own series, so I hope Wyn and her Guardians make small appearances.
I received an ARC from the author. This is my honest review.

What a way to end a series! *spoiler alert*

Wyn is gonna become queen even if she doesn't want to. Bierra, the current Queen of Winter, is barely hanging on after Wyns mishap at the castle. She does not believe she will recover and is imploring Wyn to take the crown officially. Wyn is having a love hate relationship with her new powers as a goddess. She must figure out how to balance the seasons. A new season is crowned with a new ruler. So many truths told and secrets reveled. I enjoyed take this journey with Wyn and her guardians as she becomes the magnificent Queen and person she supposed to be.

Sorry but I’m not going to give away any spoilers of any kind because I’m not the type that does that.
So this is all I’m going to say about this book and that is I thought it was totally amazing.
I enjoyed the story-building and the world created here.
Skye Mackinnon definitely knows how to hook her readers and take them on a exciting ride.
So yes I most definitely recommend this book to anyone who’s interested in crawling into this story and getting lost within its pages. But if you haven’t read any of the books before this one then I highly suggest that you do otherwise you might get probably get a little confused as to who’s who and what’s what.

Laurel Schroeder is quickly becoming one of my favorite paranormal narrators. I just love listening to her bring life to all these different characters. And the way she just energizes the story and really performs the words.

Skye MacKinnon has absolutely hooked me with this series. I loved Wynter and her men. I loved some of the new characters introduced in this story and just the whole thing was such a pleasure to listen to. I now want to search out more books by this author and see what other fantastic stories she may have out there. This one was definitely a 5 star read for me and one I would highly recommend.

Amazing, filled with remarkable and unforgettable moments I could not put this book down!

From the very beginning of the series, I fell in love with Wyn and her men in this world. As it the series is ending for Wyn and all that I'm glad it ended on a sexy note. And while this book is bittersweet as Wyn's story is at the end, I cannot wait to read Guardian's Dragon as Ada's story has just stared!! ❤

This book has incredible world building, a dynamic plot and so many lovable and shareable characters.

A great conclusion to wyn's journey. It begins with her trying to deal with the new responsibilities of being a goddess and the looming threat of the morrigan. The story and some sad parts and a bit of hope but it was wrapped up perfectly. The relationship between wyn and her guardians was already so strong that this just showcases that strength. So while im sad that this series is over I'm happy that everything was answered and we get a glimpse of the future. I'm excited to read ada's story next. And any blaze that can be thrown in would be great becasue I love that unicorn.

Audiobook version:

This was a great conclusion to the series. I enjoyed seeing all the character develop and come into their own. The plot kept me pulled in and entertained.

This was a great middle ground in the steam rating- it gives you a little glimpse of heat but also has fade to black type of scenes.

The narration was great. Well read- At the beginning of the series I remember that Laurel's accent seemed a little overwhelming to me but really, it did end up being perfect for the character and her background.

Great PNR RH series

There were times that Win got on my last nerves with her constant negativity and self-degregation. Then it dawned on me that I can get that way too. I related to her in many ways. I really enjoyed this story as well. I enjoyed the whole series. I fully recommend that if somebody is going to read this series they read it in order. I also want to advise that there is adult content in it and will not be suitable for children. Still a great read that I fully recommend. I'm sad to see that it's ended.

Laurel Schroeder keeps up her great work bringing these characters to life.

Such a great finish to this series, though to be honest I could happily stay with these characters a lot longer as I feel there is so much more to find out about them. I love the way this was all handled and especially the outcome. Oh and Blaze just steals it all for me, everyone could do with a friend like him! I so enjoyed watching the characters work out their relationships and the plan on how to deal with the Morrigan. Just so enjoyable.

This story was the really good conclusion to whole stories.
Last battle is coming, allies will be tested, enemies will have to choose, new intriguing characters appear and nothing will stop Wyn and her Guardians from the fight! This was a great read that engaged me wholely!
Great work was written by Ms. Kinnon and has what it needs: the witty heroine, cool males and intriguing plot with funny dialogues.

No more sparklies or has Wyn discovered something better than sparklies. Wyn’s relationship with her Guardians is continuing to grow, even with a hesitant Crispin. As well as her ever growing responsibilities with becoming a Goddess, trying to gather more allies and not letting her emotions get the best of her.
Get ready for the epic conclusion to the Daughter of Winter series, with the final battle against the Morrigan.

Winter Goddess is the conclusion to Wyn’s story. A lot happens in this story as it ties together all of the threads. Wyn struggles with needing to take over for Beira, the search for balance, dealing with her powers, and trying to defeat the Morrigan - this story is action packed but still balances the romance. Wyn has grown and this was a great conclusion for her story. I hope we get to see the stories of a few others in this world, and maybe see Wyn and her guys pop up :)

Wyn has finally fulfilled her destiny as Queen of the Winter realm and this final book explains the enormous cost she had to pay to become the ruler of her people. There is more injury, loss, and heartache in this new episode of Wyn's life to add to her old pain and grief. She finds solace in her Guardians as their bond continues to strengthen. This is an exciting story with unexpected surprises and an abundance of humor. Enjoyable Read!

I can't believe it's over! She had done so much in such a short time. I would love to continue living in this world and see all the good she could bring about. This book was by far the trickiest. There was a lot going on and I was worried about a trick around every corner. It all came together brilliantly. A great ending to a great series. The narrator did a fantastic job throughout all the books and the voices were the same throughout as well. Truly enjoyed!

Such a great ending!! I loved this book. Wyn grows into her powers and her role as queen. She steps up her game. She didn’t back down and she kicked some demon/goddess butt. Her relationships with her guardians also strengthened. Which is obviously amazing but really the most amazing thing about this series is Wyn herself. She grows into the queen Winter needs her to be. It was a beautiful journey and I am sad that it’s over.

This book had me hooked from the beginning and there was no putting it down. I was very glad that I did have the extra time so that I could just sit and relax with it and not have to worry about doing anything else. It moves along at a nice relaxing speed, has characters that you will love and a story that keeps you reading till the end. This book is a must read, you will not be sorry that you did.

Dramatic Conclusion

This is the conclusion of Wynter’s saga; alliances are made, revelations are revealed and the war against the Morigan is waged. Through it all, Wyn’s men stand with, protect and love her. This story brought forth so many feelings for me: sorrow, triumph, and finally peace, just as Wyn finds her happily ever after. An amazing series, with wonderful characters and a epic storyline.

Wyn needs to restore the balance, but Morrigan and her allies are not going to make it easy. Will Wyn and her Guardians (Storm, Frost, Arc and Crispin) overcome the odds? I loved this conclusion to this epic tale, and it had the bonus of having Blaze the unicorn in it (he has a special little place in my heart). I loved the action, danger, magic and the roller coaster ride the story takes you on.
