ENZYMES FACTOR

Rate this book
In The Enzyme Factor, Dr. Hiromi Shinya presents his research, grounded in his 45 years of medical practice in the United States and Japan. This research supports the idea of a miracle enzyme out of which all the enzymes the body needs are produced. He suggests cancer and other diseases occur when this key enzyme is depleted and cannot properly do its job. In this book he clearly shows how what we eat affects that key. Dr. Shinya's science is clearly explained and easy to understand. The suggestions for diet and lifestyle based on this science are simple and easy to follow. Even those who think they know everything about how to eat right will be surprised when they discover what is really healthy.

This simple health regime has led hundreds of his patients, many suffering from cancer and other life-threatening diseases, to perfect health.

Inside The Enzyme Factor you will

* How to look younger and delay aging * How to live strengthen your body's natural defenses. * How to become a healthy 100 year old * Misconceptions with many dietary trends * What your intestinal traits can teach you about your health * Why drinking milk will cause osteoporosis * How your body will become oxidized if you eat oxidized foods * Why eating the meat of animals that have a higher body temperature than humans pollutes the blood * The inseparable relationship between the human body and the land * How love activates the immune system

Passionate story but

I am not convinced. The author has a lot of experience. He experimented on himself. He looked at the insides of very many patients. He saw people recover from cancer.

Unfortunately, he offers a diet based on these experiences. And talks about the way Japanese people at in the 1600's.

He ignore how evolution was interrupted 10000 years ago by man moving away from hunter gatherers. Well most.

He he is, not directly, critical of the way these hunter gathers ate. And we must eat differently today.

He has great intentions. He shares wisdom when it comes to how the medical world focus on diseases in isolation instead of focusing on health and the most probable cause: life style.

I do think he took his own model and biasedly based his diet on it. By criticising foods ate by hunter gatherers he made a mistake. Odd. 😳

I know a lot about what I didn't particularly wanted to know!

The fact that I am neither Japanese nor American made a big difference to my valuation of this book. No indication of how enzymes work, a great deal of subjective observances, too much unnecessary details and worst of all the drastic changes one has to make, made this book a waste of money,as far as I am concerned. It did not deliver what I paid for!

I got this and Enzyme Factor 2. Both are significantly longer then need be (a typical problem with a lot of these type of books. But pretty good content.
