In book four of the Ops Warriors Employed by the Ops Warriors gave Boo the opportunity to continue working toward her nurse/midwife degree and the added benefit of trying to find a place where she fit in. She’d though she found that place within the Lady Riders, but when the Ops are faced with trouble, she’s pushed aside like always, left with herself the only one she could depend on.
Kink and Magnum had spent the last few years waiting for the opportunity to finally make Boo their own. When they find out she’s inadvertently placed between Ops and the enemy, they set off to rectify the problem and bring her home—to the club—to the Lady Riders—and to them.
Although I like this series for guilty pleasure reads, this one was just okay for me. I can't say I ever felt the connection between Boo, Magnum, and Kink. I think the fact that Magnum and Kink waited for two years just didn't sit well. I felt that if they had wanted her bad enough, they would never have waited that long to claim her. As for the Boo's issues with not feeling like part of the MC much less the Lady Riders, she had good reason for that, especially after she'd been shot. For such a huge part of the story, in the end it was kind of just glossed over and not really dealt with. This just added to the rushed and incomplete feeling ending.
I'm still going to keep reading these, they aren't the best biker books, but most are entertaining. This one just missed the mark.
This book is book four in the ops warrior mc series. This story is Boo, Kink and Magnum’s story. I read this book in one sitting and wasn’t once bored. I liked that Boo decided to finally make a stand. She was choosing herself for once. What disappointed me was that she didn’t confront her so-called friends. As soon as they came running she gave in and didn’t even tell them why she was avoiding them. But I will admit that I liked that she later told them. I liked Kink and Magnum. I liked that they had wanted Boo for two years but didn’t make a move until they all lived in the same place. The chemistry between Kink, Magnum and Boo was clear to see. I liked them all together. I liked that the lady riders gave Boo a makeover. The storyline for this book is easy to follow and an enjoyable read. I cannot wait to read more books from this series.
Another good book by McRide, but the cliffhangers are killing me who is the mystery woman who wants to end the Ops. Boo finally was made a Lady Rider. Happy Reading
I love all of her books . I must say though I was a little disappointed with this one though boo comes off as more than a little too goody good and it made lots of parts in this book kind of cheesy. but over all her other books are great and shes a good writer. This book just wasn't for me.. but I moved on to her next one and so far shes brought the game back I think. if you like sons of anarchy you will love these books.
This wasn't overly bad. Boo has always been a bit of a mystery to me as she just usually showed up, did her medical thing then disappeared. Nobody really knew anything about her. Her history is a really sad tale, with the extreme bullying, I really wished she took Kink and Magnum's offer of sicing Shady on her old bully because past or not that bitch totally deserved an ass whooping! With that being said it was really nice to see Boo come into her own, albeit with the help of the Lady Riders, but she definitely needed that boost to her self esteem.
Kink and Magnum were okay. They were total alphas, of course, but not overly pushy as bikers tend to be. Yeah they fucked up with stupid Debbie, but they are men and men can be blind and well stupid if we don't check them and make them come correct. They loved Boo and were extremely loyal, faithful and protective while simultaneously allowing her to do her own thing.
There still are so many unanswered questions and that's just really pissing me off, why the need to keep stretching this mystery out is beyond me but its irritating the fuck out of me already. It's like in every book we only get a tiny piece of the puzzle before it ends and then we have to wait to get another piece. (No cliffhangers) By now we know or can guess this mysterious character that wants to finish the Ops is female and is somehow connected to Shady...that's it. Now we have this chick Storm? Sighs...it's to much, give us the who, the why, the when...the all of it already dammit!
While I enjoyed this book I got a bit lost... Maybe I missed something...
This instalment of the Ops warriors surrounds Boo, a nursing student and the 2 men who fall for her.
Filled with men who try to do the right thing but invariably screw up more times than I can count, MC gangs fighting against each other and some scorching hot sex, a good read
Harley has done it again! Another great read. From the very 1st page I was drawn into Boo, Kink and Magnum's story. I couldn't put it down till I finished it. I love this series and can't wait for the next book.
I'm glad Boo got her story. Harley did a good job of telling about Boo and her background and what makes her, her. Kink and Magnum were a perfect fit for her. Interesting story, one that I really enjoyed hoping to read more from this series!
I always enjoy her books but this time around I found the ending blunt! Like just over, like here it is, now its gone it was odd! Other then that it was another amazing read but again the endng left me confused.
Loved the story, but nearly didn't read it could s I don't like the cover. The whole hat on the wrong way round just makes them look like the village idiot
My only complaint about this book it that it's not long enough. Just when it gets good, it ends... Please Harley Mcride make them a little bit longer!!!
It just keeps getting better! Boo is so sweet but when she comes out of her shell watch out! With the help of the lady riders and her men she becomes a firecracker! Lol when she figures out that she has a family to fight for watch out!
