Fabulous read. Very exciting and romantic. Wonderful storytelling and well written. Characters strong . Recommended.

Dragon Quest (Phoenix Throne Book 2)
Elle found herself in a forest after her friend cast a spell. Elle found some pillars and one was of a handsome highlander. She touched it and he came alive. Together they walked along the forest telling each other about their lives. She wanted to find her friends and he his brothers at a castle where he knew her friend was. In the night Robbie disappeared. Elle looked for him and a wizard told her a dragon took him. If she put an amulet to put on the dragons heart she could get Robbie back. She did and the dragon turned into Robbie. So Robbie is part dragon. Then they were on their way to the castle. They met some people that told them lies about the people that were in the castle. After fighting at the castle Robbie learned that it was his brothers. Everyone was happy to be together. Then Hazel casted a spell and ghouls came into the castle. After fighting them Hazel made another spell to get rid of them. Robbies brother the king dubbed Robbie Sir Robert. Them married Robbie and Elle

Characterization is about as consistent as cottage cheese. I wanted to like this series, but I couldn't get past the horrible inconsistency.
Even a light romance can be well-written, and these [books 1-3] just aren't it.

Well, I pushed through to the end of the story. When I got there, I thought "Wow, that was boring."
I really don't care what happens any more. That is particularly true because the next book is about the extremely unlikeable and whiney Hazel.
End of the line for me.

The 2nd Book is great
Poor Robbie got into a whole lot of trouble from the first book to this 2nd book which is his and Elle’s story. Very fanciful and dangerous for all. There is a hint of Fergus and Hazel here.

Seriously in love with this series. We find out a little bit more about the brothers and about all the friends who have been thrown into a whole new world.
