To be fair, I didn’t finish this book. Read it (per my suggestion) for a Catholic book club. It is a good basic teaching on Catholic doctrine, but very dry. I was hoping for more about the Guardian angels - I thought the title implied that there would be more info on them, so that’s on me. The rest of the group really liked the book - to each her own!

The five roles angels take on are messengers (they both deliver our prayers to the Lord and relay His messages to us), stewards (they maintain their stewardship over all creation and we imitate that stewardship by preserving the gifts of God to ourselves and others by praying sacraments charity), warriors (they defend us against evil and support the plans and purposes of God), guardians (the guardian angel is our faithful companion from conception and continues until our death) and adorers (their greatest joy is when they accompany us to the altar to offer the Holy Sacrifice or at the adoration of the Blessed Sacrament). This is a book for all seeking for more information of angels and their role in our lives daily and also their role in the saints lives and also their appearance in the Bible.

Fascinating reading

Families should consider replacing fairytales with or adding stories of angels and our guardian angels. Children of all ages need to become aware that angels are among us and seek to guide and protect us.
There stories are that of beautiful fairytales however angels and their stories are genuine.

A must read

I have this book a well deserved 5 stars. I am a cradle Catholic and this book has taught me about angels which I knew very little about. Now I am starving to learn more.

A good book with some great inspiration, but didn’t live up to my expectations. I am very interested in the angels and wanted to learn more about them. This left me wanting.
