When Harry sustains an injury in the line of work, he no longer knows how to navigate the life he loved, and finds help and solace from the most unexpected source.
Very well written ff of Drarry. I was pleasantly surprised at the physiotherapy tid bits. The writer clearly put alot of thought into this and (unless their a pt themselves) hours of research. Enjoyable!!
Tropes: – Draco/Harry fanfiction – Healer Draco/Autor Harry – Hurt/Comfort – Enemies to lovers – Forced proximity
When Harry gets injured on the job, there's only one Healer who can fix him.
HEALER DRACO/AUROR HARRY SUPREMACY. My fave trope for SURE and this one just does it so well. Harry's loss of limb makes him irritable, grouchy, and downright difficult to be around. Riddled with guilt and mourning his previous life, Harry doesn't even want to be treated. But Draco isn't ready to give up on him. Draco basically moves into Harry's house for 9 months to help him with his treatment and while Harry's reluctant at first, he can't help but realize that Draco has... really changed. He's a whole new person–professional and caring and determined to help. The development in this is so good. Normally, Draco's the grouch but Harry being the grump while Draco slowly coaxes him out of it was 10/10. Plus, the eventual pining on Harry's part? So good. I loved this so much!
So wonderfully moving, deep, sexy, and powerful. Seriously rare that a fanfic world is this thoughtfully fleshed out without being trite. Also rare is the depth of emotion/wounding/psychology weaving its way through - and it's also really fucking hot. Just amazing, five stars, and if anyone knows any other fics like this please send them my way!
This was nice to read, enjoyable, moderately suspenseful, very hot. I liked Draco as physiotherapist a lot and the topic of disability was really interesting for me. As far as I could tell, Harry was quite believably written after his injury. The break in the relationship after Harry got the leg made sense, but for me there was still something missing which I can't put into words.

I loved large parts of this. I loved the idea of Harry returning to Hogwarts and Draco healing rather than destroying- which was never his speed anyway. I enjoyed the disability aspect, and learning to live a new way. Along that vein, I didn’t love how perfectly it wrapped up, but I appreciate the author’s happy ending all the same.
I LOVED the earlier chapters, but my attention kind of drifted in the latter half. I think they hooked up sooner than I was expecting and I kind of checked out after that. Their split felt a bit like they were creating a problem out of whole cloth for my liking..
mmm? this is the first drarry fic I read after many dramione ones. maybe not the best fic of them together, but considering it is my first (prolly of more) it was really good ! interesting to read how other romances between characters work out (especially queer)
yeah so pretty good, was expecting maybe a little more ... i took me almost a month to finish and I suspect it was because I was expecting something a little different
NOTES: - First two times count as the first actual read off the book (because the page count on this book is wrong) - Third read of this book, is actually for a different book (which did not include the Goodreads page count on the listing) - Fourth read: not for this book, it is for 'The carnal club' by Ada_P_Rix. which was veryyyyy good. the dynamics between the characters are a little weird considering it is approx. one summer after the war is set. but i suppose any fanfic that tries to do a reimagined post-war hogwarts will feel that way. all the drama and everything is so well set-up tho, it has a perfect balance of all the elements i look for. i took it down half a star because of the weird setting thing, and the weird casualness between some of the characters.
Updated review: 5 stars because it is amazing. I love the characterization of both of them.
4.5 stars but not rounding up. 20 years after the war has ended Harry gets injured on a job. Draco is now a very successful healer and is asked to help him. My one critique of this is that there is a lot of depression, which fits the story, but I was not a huge fan of it. I will definitely reread it.
