A Vampire’s Thirst: Dark, Dangerous and Undeniable!

Russian vampire Ivan Sokolov is suffering from a bad case of the guilts and has high hopes of apologising to his ex—the half-breed daughter of the werewolf Deacon Thorn.

He tracks her down to the eerie and remote Dartmoor when he is struck down by the Thirst. His hunger all but consumes him, and he awakens to a nightmare; covered in blood with no recollection of what happened.

Panic and dread overcomes him. He takes the only way out and tries to make a run for it when he’s hit by a most wondrous scent.

The only problem is the scent belongs to a police officer, one sent to find out who’s responsible for the bloody corpse found on the moors the previous night. And to add to that … she’s his Bloodmate.

Is Ivan the one responsible? Or will the truth lie in the ancient myths surrounding the local moors…?

The hunt is on, the battle fierce…only the strong survive a Vampire’s Thirst!

Our story starts like no other. Ivan, a youngish Vampire, about 300 years old, not able to walk in the sun. His mate, unlike any other. A human, tough, a cop who stands for no nonsense.
Ivan burdened a heavy guilt that he had betrayed his former lover by killing her father, a Shifter so vicious that the way he died was too good for him. She had fled to who knows where; tracking her down he heads to the Moors, Dartmoor a place so huge, so stark, he would never find her.
Our story has murders, strange ones at that, a human throat torn out, Vampire? Or something else? He wakes up covered in blood, no memory of how it got there, what had he done, he couldn’t remember, blood, he needed to feed, to slake both his thirsts. A female in his head, long dark hair, a dream maybe? Or his Bloodmate, he needed to find her. Heading out to his car the scent of her wrapped around his senses, she was here, where was she, who was she, he needed her like he needed no other. Together they become one, tossed in to a world of danger, blood, terror, but, I say no more, intrigued, want to know more, the hell on earth they faced? The danger, and love, read this book I guarantee you will not be disappointed. A**************

This is a short, yet highly entertaining, emotionally thrilling romantic adventure filled with danger around every corner, intriguing mystery and undeniable passion....

Ivan is looking for his ex in a small town after her fathers death to give his regrets and make amends when he is caught in a web of danger and unexplained murders being investigated by Charlie. She is a no nonsense, by the book, determined cop looking for answers and finding so much more than she bargained for in the misty moors. Loved every heart pounding twist and turn...

A Vampire’s Thirst: Ivan focuses on Ivan, a vampire. He is searching for his old girlfriend, Michaela, who has disappeared. Her father was taken by the Directive and executed for his crimes. Ivan simply wishes to find her, offer his sympathies and regrets concerning her father and see if there is anything that he can do to help her. He finds a lead that points him to a small town out on the moors, so he goes there. Out in these same moors, Charlie is investigating strange deaths of sheep. Initially, they don’t think much of it other than the deaths seem strange. Quickly though the deaths escalate to humans and it seems that someone is trying to point the finger at Ivan who has just arrived in town. Ivan came to this small town looking for one thing but quickly discovers something much more important to him.
A Vampire’s Thirst: Ivan by Marissa Farrar is part of The Vampire’s Thirst series. This being said, this book can be read as a stand-alone novel. I’ve not read the other parts of The Vampire’s Thirst series, but I was able to enjoy this story without the lead up to the others. This is a short story, but it is still engaging from start to finish. Ivan is a strong vampire, over 300 years old, and he is hit with a problem that could spell danger for himself and others around him. Charlie is a no-nonsense cop who is out to solve a crime that she knows there is more to it. When she and Ivan cross paths there is an immediate spark between them. I like how this story is written. The world knows about supernatural beings, but the supernaturals still do their best to maintain a low profile. They are guarded and police themselves with a group called the Directive. With a supernatural prowling, the moors all are in danger.
There honestly isn’t much that I can complain about concerning this book. On a level, I had expected more resistance from Charlie when she encounters Ivan and he attempts to compel her. I had expected more of a snap cop response, as in her feeling threatened on some level. This is probably the one thing I was a bit conflicted by. I liked that she kept her cool and didn’t immediately go into defense mode, but I was also surprised that she didn’t react more. I am a bit disappointed in Ivan for now being quicker to put things together with the probabilities concerning the creature stalking the moors.
In the end, I am rating this book 5 out of 5 stars. I enjoyed the storyline and I like the twists and the surprises that the author writes in. Everything isn’t smooth sailing, there are problems and danger to overcome and survive. I like this and it kept me engaged in the story. Since this is a short story, the romance does happen quickly, but I’m okay with that. If you’ve read the other The Vampire’s Thirst books then I am sure that you will enjoy this book as well. If you haven’t but are looking for a short steamy vampire romance novel to read then I recommend this book. I’m sure that you will enjoy.

Ivan is a vampire and he is trying to locate his ex-girlfriend to make amends. He searches for her in Dartmoor at a hotel in hopes of finding her there. Charlie is a police officer and finds a report about the deaths of the sheep that keeps happening around the town. There is a myth regarding the Beast of Dartmoor that has been circulating but there were no sightings of proving it to be real. Ivan is surrounded by blood as he wakes up. He does not have any recollection of how it happened and blames The Thirst for the sudden black out he experienced last night. Charlie and Ivan has a great chemistry, easy banter, and I love how Charlie is an independent, smart, and a strong woman which I love about her character. The story has a suspense, humor, and a passionate romance as their relationship progresses. I enjoyed reading the book although I wished there was an epilogue scene of their future together.

You never know what you are going to get when you start a new book in this awesome series. This author did a great job of continuing the saga and incorporating key players in the storyline but still making it her own. Ivan is an old vampire but not so old he can go in the sun. Chasing a past fling out of guilt he does not immediately acknowledge the signs of the Thirst and meets his bloodmate when she is investigating a murder he may be guilty of. Charlie is an interesting character, while she doesn't come right out and say the murder is supernatural she still senses it. Battling with the strange feelings Ivan causes while he is a suspect and trying to prove he is not guilty crosses the line somewhat in her job as a constable. When the Directive comes calling, she is pulled into a world she thought was tall tales when in it fact it was reality. I really enjoyed this story, Ivan was a strong character who put the right thing to do before his own safety. He was old school, but liked modern technology making him a more real character. The situation with the old girlfriend is something that we could probably see everyday so it also helped build the " this really could have happened" making it believable. The story was easy to read, well written and had some unique twists. I look forward to the next book in the series.
I volunteered to read this story for my honest opinion.

This is an Incredible Vampire Romance series
This is an unique and awesome series. Each story is written by different amazing authors. You will love each and every one of them!
The vampires have been suffering from what is called The Thirst. The Thirst is when a Vampire is to find his bloodmate. When it hits a Vampire the vampires suffer from blood lust and sexual lust to an extreme. If the do not find and mate with their bloodmate. The vampires will go insane.
Ivan is a sexy Vampire. His offspring Nikolai just found his bloodmate. During this time they shut down a human trafficking ring. Run by a evil wolf shifter Deacon. Ivan felt sorry for Deacon's daughter Michaela. So he tries to find her to make sure she is ok. Ivan and Michaela used to be an item. He follows clues to the town of Dartmoor. There some strange killings are happening. Ivan is also suffering from The Thirst! When he meets Charlene aka Charlie who is a police officer. He knows he has found his bloodmate. He soon has a problem when he becomes a suspect in the murders!
You will love this super exciting, funny, thrilling, suspenseful, sweet, and steamy hot, five star plus story and series.

The Beast of Dartmoor

A great addition to the series that really brings the characters to life and takes you to the moors in southern England. One of my favorite things about this book was how clearly I could picture the setting and I made me want to visit Dartmoor myself.
Following the events of Nikolai, Ivan finds himself at loose ends and wanting to make things right with Michaela. Finally tracking down her location, he heads to Dartmoor only to wake up and find himself in a nightmare. Charlie is a local cop investigating a string of grisly murders that appear to be animal attacks. Curiously, she keeps thinking a who instead of a what when thinking about the murderer. Following a lead brings these two characters together. Ivan quickly realizes he's experiencing the Thirst and that Charlie is his Bloodmate. Charlie was surprisingly open to all things supernatural. Both hoping he hadn't committed the murder, she takes him in and keeps him close. When another murder occurs, it complicates matters even more. Together, with the assistance of Magno, Jana, and Clarence the mystery is revealed. But before they can have their HEA they must face the Beast of Darmoor.

Chasing after his ex, Ivan ends up in Dartmoor. He awakens the next night in his hotel with a big gaping hole in his memory and blood soaking him when he comes to. As if that isn't bad enough, he's realized he's come down with the Thirst, escalating and eventually uncontrollable bloodlust.

Meanwhile, Charlie is investigating a viciously savage murder. Her investigation brings her to the hotel and right to Ivan, who recognizes her as his bloodmate, the only cure to his bloodlust.

I really like that Charlie is a capable, strong woman, conflicted between doing her job and her quickly strengthening feelings for Ivan.

A quick-paced novella, I think I would have liked this to be longer so we could see a stronger conflict emerge in Charlie, but things had to be resolved too quickly for any real depth, but still, a good, solid vampire romance that doesn't fall into any of the old tropes too easily.

Russian vampire Ivan Sokolov is feeling guilty and so wants to apologise to an ex who is also the daughter of werewolf Deacon Thorn. He tracks her down to Dartmoor when The Thirst strikes him and he wakes to find himself covered in blood and with no memory of how he got that way. So he decides to make a run for it when he is hit but an amazing scent in the car park. However it belongs to a police officer who is looking for the person responsible for a body that was found on the moor. The scent belongs to his bloodmate who just happens to be the police officer and between them they wonder if he is responsible for the body or was it the mythical Beast?

This was a great story seamlessly merging vampires, the Thirst and a mythical beast that lives on the moor. It was very enjoyable as a light read. I enjoyed the way their relationship built up even when they were in a difficult situation. Well written and very enjoyable.

OMG!! Excellent, so intense

Wow, it just seems every one of this authors books leave me on the seat of my pants and I can't put the book down until I am done with it. Poor Ivan goes looking for one female and ends up finding a whole lot of things he didn't have planned. First and foremost his bloodmate.

Reading this book it felt like you were right in Iran's shoes feeling in confusion about what was happening to him. Felt the love and fear he felt when he was with his mate. Hell you could even feel his resolve when he thought things were going wrong. I just love it when your emotions get wrapped up in a book and you feel you are right there with them.

I just love reading books by this author and I can't wait see read more in the future.

Until Next Time... Tabi

The Truth Will Set You Free.....

Vampire Nikolai's maker Ivan Sokolov may have been responsible for all the trouble he had when he tried to get him to invest with werewolf Deacon, but it also took him to his Bloodmate. Ivan is very loyal to is progeny though and was responsible for helping the Directive get its hands on Deacon the man responsible for human trafficking and almost costing Nikolai his mind. Deacon was found guilty by the Directive and judged accordingly, now Ivan feels guilt at what Deacon's half human daughter and his former lover must be feeling. As he sets out for the moors of England in search of her, he has no idea he is walking right into the hands of evil sources and his Bloodmate.

I have to say this book, its the one you will not want to miss! It has a few twists you just do not see coming till they smack you right in the middle of the story. The sexual scenes are good and not over the top.

It is completely realistic in every way possible. From the love that is shared between the two which makes it so much more enjoyable to understand why a common sense young lady would fall so quickly in love!! You will not even think its a full book as your reading, the story is so entertaining that you will not be able to put it down till the very end!

Kudos!! To this author for making such a great twisting story plot!!

Ivan Sokolov is a 350 yr. old Vampire who is suddenly struck by The Thirst. He finally realizes what it is since his progeny, Nikolas, just went through it himself because he found his Bloodmate. Ivan thinks after all this time, can it be. Ivan meets his Bloodmate, Constable Charlene Ramsden, in a most unusual way - suspicion of murder! There is evil at work and The Directive is also called in to help. I love Ivan who is the old world type and Charlene is a beautiful and strong character. There is suspense, surprises, humor and hot, steamy romance. Loved this story and the author did a fantastic job making it so real. Highly recommend this book and the whole series.

A great and hot addition to the Thirst series. I love that they do connect to each other but the books can also be read as stand alone. We finally get to read about Ivan and learn somewhat of his past. The female female character is a police officer and is trying to solve some bizarre animal deaths that progress into the deaths of humans too. Ivan may be the her main suspect. I love the description of the vampires. How he is so gorgeous but to touch he is cold. Well it makes an interesting scene for the bedroom. Can’t wait to read more of the series.

I voluntarily read and reviewed a copy of the book.

The blurb at Amazon says all you need to know, except that this was a very exciting story, filled with action and passion. Ivan meets, romances, and seals the bond with Charlie, his Bloodmate. It's just in time for her to save him from the Thirst and a worse fate, planned and executed by his ex-employee's daughter and her minions. Several unexpected twists and turns in the story add to the excitement and suspense as The Directive and a local witch join them to fight the Beast of Dartmoor in an exciting conclusion.

I love these vampire thirst books. He is doing things like a newly turned vampire and can't figure out why. He goes to look for the daughter of a werewolf that the directive killed. In the meantime where he goes if experiencing. Well the sheriff is a female and is important to him. Well the adventure begins. I don't want to say anymore and ruin it for you. I highly recommend it. Fairly short story that was quite entertaining. Unfortunately I didn't find it exceptional and in parts it was mediocre, the underlying story could have been really good but somehow it missed the mark.

It wasn't bad book, just not great.

Wow this book blew me away so much action and there is not a thing given away by the author until your right in it.

Ivan Sokolov we met in another book by this author. He is the maker of Nikolai and if you read that then you would have heard of the female he was dating when all kinds of things went wrong and her father was killed by The Directive.

Ivan decides to go and find her to make things right he doesn't know why he just knows he needs to do this but he is in for more than he ever bargained for.

Ivan lands in town where a creature is on a killing spree, things start happening to him and then he meets none other than Charlie who is a cop.

We will also get the pleasure of Jana, Clarence and none other than Magno Zara himself in this book. So much good reading. Grab your copy.
