A full review will be on Reedsy. Here's my general take though:
For being a hardcore survivor, a badass if you will, Flora romanticizes every instance of niceness shown to her and is a damsel trope perhaps a bit too much.
Despite the problems with the [medical] language and a minor mistake in how police cars work, the Code Pink mystery is well-conceived, enjoyable, and balanced in its pace. There are plenty of options for the reader to wonder who is telling the truth or who among them will betray Flora’s trust. The plot of Hispanic babies disappearing is heart-wrenching and timely with a main character as the sole person who shows compassion and the spirit to save them.
