I really enjoyed this one. When I read book 1, Heartbreaker, I knew I was going to love getting Rachael's story. Especially with the run-in at the wedding with a certain rock star. It was a little heartbreaking and a whole lot of satisfying. I have really enjoyed this series of shorter books!
I really liked the dynamic between Kyle and Rachael. This book was even better than the first in the series!
Where Rachael has had to be a responsible single parent for the recent years, Kyle has lived a full life. I loved reading the moment when Kyle realizes he's missing his family. The relationship between Henry and Kyle is fun to observe as it grows. Lizabeth Scott does a great job showcasing the characters and their interests, making you also care about the music for Henry, or the top-of-the-line kitchen for Rachel.
If you like dirty talking men mixed with secret baby/second chance romance, I'd recommend you read Troublemaker. Although it could be read as a standalone, the first in the series, Heartbreaker, will introduce more background and secondary characters within this book.
Liz has pulled off another amazing read. The characters were just as easy to context with as the first book. The way she writes almost feels like outs your heart girlfriend telling you the story. Open, honest writing that is really easy too enjoy.
As for the story, I liked how Kyle evolved as a man as the book progressed, to use Henry as the instigator was a genius move as linked you to him further as well.
Really enjoying this series and can't wait to read more!
I have to say this was awesome. I loved that Kyle and Rachael didn’t blame each other that they both thought of Henry first every time. I also loved how Lizabeth keep the part about Kyle’s old manager being and a— and making Rachael stay away by lying. It was a nice way for it to come up. It was a total surprise. I felt the same about the interview Kyle did it was a shock to the reader that it was gonna go south. This was just a great book.
I was excited to read about Rachel & Kyle's story when I reached the last pages of 'Heartbreaker'. Unfortunately the main leads in this book are underdeveloped. I don't know why Kyle loves Rachel - is it because she is a good mother??? she seems to lose her identity after her dream of opening a restaurant diminished.
Enjoyed returning to the same community again for a dose of small town life and the people who make it fun. Especially Ms. Blanche and Ms. Edna. Kyle and Rachel were an unlikely match from the beginning but years after they first met they have become different people and more ready for a relationship.
This is such a great story. I just love me a rock star!!! I devoured this book and absolutely loved this story. There was no unnecessary heart-ache or angst. Just two people who are reconnecting, finding their new normal and their way together and to each-other.
This is Lizabeth Scott's second book in the series and I read it in a day because I just couldn't stop reading. You will fall in love with the characters! It is a feel good book and has a HEA
I loved this book so much that I have re-read it 3 times already. It is well written and the the story progression was done very well. It has a great balance of soul, heart and humour.
