It feels like things are coming to serious head. Charlotte is home for Christmas now, exams at school finished, the construction on the Inn, Leisure Resort are moving along as a slower pace due to inclement weather, and the bridge connecting the old and new parts of the city are still under way. Shadows from the past are still lurking and what should've been an easy investigation into an open case concerning Blessingmoors and it's leaders turns into a witch hunt against James until Charlotte puts her foot down. As things start to spiral more clues are found and Charlotte becomes entrenched into the police investigation. Elizabeth trying to ease some of the stress and tension takes Charlotte out for a day of lunch and shopping only to turn up missing! The plot continues to thicken in the newest book of "Mastering the Virgin" to a point you won't want to miss this one. Things we've wondered about throughout the past are coming to light but what are the consequences. Simone Leigh does not disappoint with a buildup that will leave you speechless. Don't miss this!
And the thrills continue. Learning more about what has happened to Charlotte in her young life make all of her gentlemen admire her even more. Charlotte was willing to testify about the children's home she was incarcerated in only to find they want her to go after her Master James for "Buying her Virginity" and her protective instincts roar to the forefront. Now we see the men's POV and Richard's in particular. His admiration for what she has made of herself is seen more in this book and his realization that he wants these three as friends. With her Lover Michael and her Master James by her side she meets with the Police Chief at Richard and Beth's to get immunity for James before she will help. And the surprises continue as more horrors are revealed. There are also several chapters showing us more of Charlotte's history and treatment while in that vile home. More intrigue and suspense and I'm sorry to say a cliff-hanger but we know the next one will make the wait worthwhile.
Really an emotional mysterious read. I knew Charlotte had a hard upbringing and she was saved at the auction. But her past then the interview and the nightmares ect..I could only imagine. Brought tears to my eyes. But, definitely wasn't expecting them trying to pin James!
