Dangerous: Loving a Gangster

Rate this book
Trent rolled his eyes, “You’re coming with me.” “And what if I say no?” Callie challenged. He chuckled darkly, “Do you really want to say no to me?” Dangerous. That was what everyone called Trent Mason. His dark lifestyle shadowed anyone who got too close. He was the most notorious man in the state. He was the son of a legend. He was a drug dealer, fighter, and a killer. Everyone made sure to stay away from him. Everyone except for Callie. She fell into his arms and he stormed into her life. Trent was no good for anyone, but he was perfect for Callie.

Callie ain't special. At least that is how our "hero" Trent, is behaving towards the poor young lady. He not only stalks her, he's controlling, jealous and a complete jerk! To top it off, he's a drug dealer, killer and head of some type of gang. He supposedly wants to be with her, but he treats her like gum at the bottom of the shoe. I damn near stopped reading the book when he has sex with not one but TWO other women just to "get his rocks off" cuz he can't be with Callie at the moment. It's terrible! I know they weren't serious for one of the times he did this, but the second time was after he asked her to be his girl and because she left his place early in the morning to go to her apartment to get herself together, etc. He thinks she's broken up with him and gets another woman back to his place to have sex with! Callie walks in on it! lol No, no ma'am. He's got to go. He can't keep it in his pants and clearly, his feelings for her, however strong or rather, weak they are, certainly is not enough to keep his pants up. Not only that, but by him pursuing her and dragging Callie along on one of his drug deals, she gets caught up in his world and becomes a target. Nah, he gotta go. I don't even want to read part II.

Yeah It's Good!

This was everything I wanted in a gangster love story. The writer introduces you to two characters that are so appealing.I love that we get a hero that not only comes off as a donkey, but he is so untouchable that you are like "dude get a grip"!But the writer gives you cracks in Trent's facade and you like it and him.Callie is all the things you want in a heroine, she is not necessarily a pushover and can speak her mind but let her man take the lead when necessary. This is a really good story with quite a few twist and turns.I suspect that ,there are thieves in camp and its going to really knock our socks off.I so.look forward to the next installment. Also my little request is that we get a just a little more one on one with Callie and Trent and the gang.Overall this was really good entertainment.

Poor Callie doesn't know what she is getting herself in for, But the ride will be Bumpy dealing with Trent crazy self. Truly a Gangster type of love with Trent and Callie. Love the Chemistry, and the Sex. OMG ITS ON 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥. Can't wait for the next installment of this Series, Because Trent will have it on and Poppin.

Smh

This book was terrible. I usually write good reviews or none at all but I just don't get how this book had so many 5 stars. I'm truly baffled. The hero was a serious ass and the heroine was dumb as hell for putting up with his nonsense. I'm all for completely aggressive heroes but this dude just exudes immaturity. No thanks!!

1.50 Stars. Gangster or mafia romance stories have never been my forte; but in an attempt to broaden my reading horizons in the arena of interracial romances, I decided to try this book. Aside from the one dimensional characterization of Trent Mason as the gruff controlling socially inept murderous hero using the heroine as stress relief and Callie Parker, the heroine, a non reading party animal who is captivated by Trent's domineering style and possessiveness. Occasionally, Callie will taunt Trent with half-hearted and temporary resistance. The author did little to give Trent and his band of gangsters any redeeming qualities and she did even less to make Callie a principled worth while foil to Trent. Trent is good at ordering Callie around and Callie is good at accepting and relishing in his otherwise unacceptable behavior. Go Trent. KUB #17.

I was surprised by the beginning of the book after reading the excerpts. After a while I got into with a strange feeling of interest, being should I stop or should I finish. Eventually, the story grew on me with the characters being a little strange at first. But hey, everyone sees things differently and deals with them differently. I guess I'm trying to say love is strange and causes you to do things you never thought you would like to be with a person. Just when the action started the book ended. I was not pleased. I hate cliffhangers for the mear fact that the second book takes to long to come out and when it does you have to read the story all over again. I think either the author or the publishing company needs to give the reader a heads up when you read the excerpt so that you can be determined whether you want to wait for the series or just start the read of the first book.

Wanted 2 like this

Boy, did I want to like this story. Love reading books with alpha males or gangsters. But I'm just pissed off that Carrie would quickly forgive this man whore Trent for cheating because he brought her flowers & cooked. The author tries to make Carrie seemed like a smart & tough girl but hell no! She is weak and NOT a alpha female. I can't read anything else from this author. Guess it's not my cup of tea. I can't read books that make the female look like a FOOL! Also like she desperate!!

Forbidden fruit !

Trouble follows wherever Trent goes!
Sweet Callie works at a bookstore .
Callie can't resist but you can't blame her
for trying. Every move she makes Trent
finds her. Rough, rude and straight to the
point, Trent captures the woman who captures his heart!

Cliffhanger?

Totally unnecessary cliffhanger and waiting for part 2. The story was good but the characters were immature for twenty something year olds. Would have worked better if the characters were teens.

Stop!!!!!

Right on the middle of the story it just stopped. The book is good and entertaining. I am very upset about the ending. When is the next book coming out? I need to finish this story.

Young

This is a book for young people. It was childish. And NOT like it was advertised. I'm tired of books about interracial couples where they NEVER tell the woman's RACE!!!
Theodora Taylor and Twyla Turner are 2 of the few authors that ACTUALLY delivers an interracial couple!

Loving A Bad Boy

I'm still trying to get into this book and understand why Callie is so drawn to Trent when he doesn't show her a lot of affection in return. I do want to know how the story ends with them being in the mist of a shoot out.
