Welcome back to Virgin River! Now available in a box set collection, return to this charming small town with more beloved stories form #1 New York Times bestselling author Robyn Carr. Now a Netflix Original Series. Promise Canyon After years spent on ranches around Los Angeles, Clay Tahoma is delighted to be Virgin River’s new veterinary assistant. He’s been welcomed with open arms by everyone in town—everyone except Lilly Yazhi. Lilly has encountered her share of strong, silent, traditional men. In her eyes, Clay’s earthy appeal is just an act used to charm wealthy women like his ex-wife. Lilly can’t deny his gift for gentling horses, but she’s not about to let him control her. There’s just one small problem—she can’t control her attraction to Clay. Wild Man Creek Colin Riordan is recuperating from a horrific helicopter crash, the scars of which he bears inside and out. His family is supportive, but it’s his art that truly soothes his troubled soul. Stung personally and professionally by an ill-advised affair, PR guru Jillian Matlock has rented an old Victorian with a promising garden. She’s looking forward to cultivating something other than a corporate brand. Both are looking to simplify, not complicate, their lives, but when Jillian finds Colin at his easel in her yard, there’s an instant connection. And sometimes love is the simplest choice of all… Harvest Moon Disillusioned and burned out after collapsing at work, rising sous-chef Kelly Matlock has retreated to her sister’s house to rest and reevaluate. Puttering in the garden is wonderful, but Kelly’s starting to get restless…until she meets Lief Holbrook. The handsome widower looks more like a lumberjack than a sophisticated screenwriter—a combination Kelly finds irresistible. Less appealing is Lief’s rebellious teenaged stepdaughter. She’s the reason they moved from LA, but she’s still finding plenty of trouble. Kelly’s never fallen for a guy with such serious baggage, but some things are worth fighting for. Bring Me Home for Christmas This year, Becca Timm knows the number one item on her wish list—getting over Denny Cutler, who broke her heart three years ago. So she invites herself on her brother’s hunting weekend in the rugged little mountain town that Denny calls home. But when an accident turns her impromptu visit into an extended stay, Becca finds herself stranded. With Denny. In very close quarters. As the power of Christmas envelops them, Becca discovers that the boy she once loved has become a strong and confident man. And the most delicious Christmas present she can imagine. Four wonderful stories of finding home and discovering love. Do not like when these are all clumped as 1 collection as I read them each individually and they will not get counted correctly for my 2020 reading challenge Wild Man Creek Read Sept 14-17 Harvest Mood Read Sept 17-19 Bring Me Home for Christmas Sept 19-20 I will say that I am enjoying the series and have said in my previous reviews that I love that Robyn brings in new characters, adds to old characters, and we also finally meet characters mentioned and then their stores are finally told
I love Robyn Carr's writing. I can't seem to put her books down. I read them so fast I can't wait for the next one. With all the tears and cheers I feel as her characters are people that I know. It's a great way to wind down the day.
All four stories in this bundle are once again Ms. Carr at her best. Each book addresses the issues of family, love, community, and commitment. The reader experiences through reading the love that grows between the main characters, and the ties that can grow and bond people and community together.
All four of these books are five star reads. Love the town and the characters. The author keeps all of the old characters moving on with their lives, while at the same time introducing the new people.
Amazing series that held my complete and total interest all the way through. The characters are all amazing every last one of them. This series encompasses all age groups, many different backgrounds and all at crossroads for varying reasons.
These are great reads, but please do better horticultural research. Rhubarb is available in spring, not fall. And peonies are bulbs that bloom in late spring. They do not grow in flats.
Virgin River series are well written and great story lines. Love how each book brings in new characters for you to root for and broadens the characters already there in Virgin River.
some of my favorite books in this series - I highly recommend reading the book series in order. I also have these books on Audible and it is a great listen!
Yes everyone end with a happily ever after but there is a little trauma or drama to get to the happily ever after. I especially like the continuity of the characters.
Robyn Carr creates magic with this fourth collection of Virgin River stories. New people, with Jack and Mel, Preacher and Paige, and other established members of Virgin River grounding the stories. Doesn't get better than this.
