Lockmorrow Estate was situated at the northernmost tip of England in a stormy, desolate region where nothing but rangy sheep would grow. The manor itself, said to be under a curse of unknown origin, was made of the same dark, gray limestone that jutted up from the surrounding fields like tombstones. No one else would willingly take a job there, no one else would dare, but Rosalie did not have the virtue of choice. She was desperate. The moment Rosalie steps inside the house, she knows the rumors are correct. There is something very wrong with Lockmorrow Estate. Something is lurking in the shadows. And whatever it is, it wants her.

As I've said before Adrian Blue brings new stuff to Erotica and related sub-genres. I don't know how she does it. But in 20 to 30 pages, she makes me not only like her stories but baffles me, because they make more of an impact than most of the 200-page Erotic Showdowns I've read lately.

And here is an example of not only an original erotic tale, but a damn good one!

Rosalie needs to work desperately. She accepts a position as a governess at Lockmorrow Estate. A manor that rumor has it is haunted or under some sort of curse. Need overcomes fear and she accepts. To her surprise, the rumors might not be so distant from the truth. Strange things occur at night. The family acts rather strangely and the child she is tutoring reveals disturbing details that make her question the truth behind the events of the manor. Intrigued by the secrets of the estate and the paranormal events, Rosalie finds herself in a situation that is more than she bargained for. Only to discover her true purpose to why she was chosen as a governess.


This has intrigue, paranormal events, light terror, smut, and a dab of romance.


It oddly reminded of Jayne Eyre with a twist. And I was enthralled and sucked in like a fangirl. I mean a ghost male MC and the governess... Come on!
I loved every freaking minute!!!
The pace was good. The writing was on point. It had a plot twist which still amazes me, cause as I said before... This is a 30-page short story.
The attraction, the curiosity, the acceptance of our female MC is well done. The unusual sex that involves the exploration of sensations and something new to me in the erotic genre. Sex with a ghost? How many sex ghost stories have you people read?
In my case. Zero. Zip. None!
And I was oddly reminded of that scene in Ghostbusters.



It's safe to say that just as Sir Ghostbuster here, Rosalie had a good time!
She fell for the ghost and had a blast.
This story is a guaranteed HEA. I have one warning though... The ending might feel like an open ending. You'll understand when you finish the read.
To resume my nerd praise. This read is a 4.5 Paranormal Ghostly Stars. Enjoyed every minute and I definitely recommend it.

It's definitely historical and not near as erotic as expected. It was still a fun read, though. I am slightly disappointed because I love a good ghost story, but this fell a little flat. It was still a fun read, though.

Plot holes a plenty but still a sweet story and smexy as hell.

I feel like this was really good up until the author tried to make sense of things. I felt like that part was a bit of an afterthought. Like how do I explain why she was the one… random contrived plot point no one saw coming. It couldn’t have been horny ghost looking for just the right governess to get his rocks off with. No, it has to be this exact chick and then somehow, he had to know that she would be looking for a governess job and etc. It was just too much. I loved the ghost story angle and the hot ghostly action but that tiny plot point just made me cringe. I mean I didn’t need the love story just a horny ghost in need of lovin’ and the governess who is willing. That would have made a lot more sense. Especially with the shortness of the book.

So I was asked by a few people if I stopped doing my monster reads for Halloween. The answer is no I think I just forgot the last year or two because of the craziness of Covid. So for my first Halloween read of the year I picked a ghost book. The cover doesn't match the book. The cover lady is modern and the story is historical which was kinda confusing in the first few pages. Once I figured that out the book wasn't bad. The sexy dead Duke, I sweet governess some Ghost sex.



The plot was okay at first but then it was glossed over and wrapped up so quick. Overall for a quick Monster erotica read it was okay. On to my next crazy Halloween erotica read, because Monsters need love too!

I had read this a while ago but decided to read it again. I really liked this little slice of ghostly life. I’ve read a lot of Victoria Holt, and do gothic romances were my thing, but they never delved into erotica much. Closed door scenarios, etc. This is much better than those were.

The chemistry could have been hotter if the fmc had reciprocated; she was a ghost pillow princess, but then again maybe it’s difficult when you can’t see what’s touching you lol and you’re a virgin lol

All in all I still really liked the story and how everyone was happy that the ghost was happy.

When I first saw this book, I was honestly hesitant. Normally, I don’t read ghost romance stories BUT THIS WAS AMAZING. The house was beautifully described, as was the main character. Both characters were described with the same amount of detail and for me- that was amazing because I didn’t feel like either received more attention than the other. As always though, the nsfw is amazing. Adrian blue will ALWAYS be my favorite author because of the happy(or wrapped) endings. It was such a perfect mix of lust and love.

So I chose the 3 star rating due to the fact that I liked it enough to read more if there was more. The concept of the plot was interesting and Grabbed my attention. If there was a longer version of this I would definitely snatch it up.

A surprisingly sweet and romantic spicy novel between a haunted manor's new governess and the ghost inhabited the estate.

Light terror, mystery, and sweet nothings from a man that can be felt but not seen.

I'm sad it's only 26 pages.
