It’s all they can do to fight against the darkness and tumble hard into love.
Life is long, especially for Arturo. Though he was born a mortal, now he’s a bear shifter and the former right-hand-man to a demon. He’s been alive for more than four centuries, kept alive by his connection to the demon who has enslaved and tortured him at every turn. And they wonder why he’s such a jerk…
Now, Arturo is made to endure a new kind of torture. He’s trapped with a group of seven travelers who, to their credit, are attempting to slay the demon. But their affectionate, loving, joking ways threaten to drive him up the wall. All he wants is silence, all he wants is eternal rest. All he wants is darkness. That is, until he realizes that his life doesn’t have to be quite as lonely as he’d thought.
Martine West is not exactly a human, not exactly an angel. She is a born demon-hunter and, oh yeah, she’s composed completely of light. Though she looks like a mortal woman, she is otherworldly, ethereal, and determined to slay the demon, even though the end of the demon’s life will also mark the end of hers. Before her life comes to an end, she wishes only for one thing, to feel like a woman, a real woman. She wants only to experience the attention of the one man for whom she’s carried a secret torch for centuries.
The group of the Seventh Shifter series are all present and accounted for, racing the clock and racing the demon. It’s all they can do to fight against the darkness and tumble hard into love.
This is book 4 in "The Shifter's of the Seventh Moon" Series, but can also be read as a standalone. No cliffhangers. This full-length paranormal romance 60k word story contains strong sexual themes/language and is not intended for readers under the age of 18. FREE on Kindle unlimited
I have enjoyed this series very much. In this final book we get Arturo and Martine's story. These two have a very unusual relationship as both of them are tied to the demon they are trying to kill and when he dies, they die. They have known each other for a very long time. Martine tried to save Arturo and his girlfriend from the demon way back when, but he sacrificed himself to the demon to save his lover. When the other bear shifters managed to break his tie to the demon he didn't know what to do with himself. He could not believe it when it was revealed that he was one of the seven, not Martine.
These two seem to be total opposites, but Martine is determined to finally take a lover and she has always wanted Arturo. There is one very funny scene in chapter 10 where the two manage to blow out all the light bulbs in the house and Jean Luc's reaction causes Celia to laugh herself silly. (I was reading it late at night in bed and burst out laughing and woke up my husband.)
I like the way Selena wrapped up the story, though I was sorry to see the series end. I was given an advanced copy of the book by the author. My review is voluntary.
:O Can Arturo and Martine save the group and fess up to their feelings?!😱 May 5, 2018 Format: Kindle Edition Well, the Seventh Moon series concludes with a🔥 sizzle and a💥 bang with this fourth installment which focuses on romance between former demon assistant Arturo and demon hunter Martine. The couple have a long history but never understood until the present just how closely linked they were. The romance and self sacrifice were great, their story of missed opportunities moving, but I did feel that, for me, the steamy scenes were too drawn out.
I liked the star-crossed lover theme for Arturo and Martine as well as the backstory of their previous history. As in the earlier stories in the series, there's battle action, humor, camaraderie and steamy romance, this time set near Bryce Canyon, but this volume also provides a wrap-up and HEA for the whole group. Though each book focused on one couple's romance, the secondary theme of these stories is the friendship and support network these eight strangers build amongst themselves. It makes for some feel good moments throughout the novel, but especially at the end and through the epilogue.
I read a complimentary advance copy of the book; this is my voluntary and honest review.
Sadly, the is the fourth and final book in the series “Shifters of the Seventh Moon” and it is a intriguing, captivating book to read. This book is mainly about (Arturo) the former right-hand to the demon and now a bear shifter and (Marine) a born demon-slayer and still hunting for the demon while knowing when the demon is slain, she will die too, but there is a interesting twist to this tale. What you will find in this wonderful book is: a demon with devious plans, a demon hunter, bear shifters, human women, drama, intrigue, suspense, twists & turns, mystery, adventure, action, abilities, friendship, attractions, violence, conflict, death, life, passion, lust, love and some steamy erotic scenes. The story-line and plot is well-thought out and written. The characters are well developed with personalities have emotional feelings with needs and desires according to their personality and entwine well with each other with regards to the situation they find themselves. I really would recommend this book (& the series) to people who enjoy reading a well-written, entertaining Shifter romance with a HEA.
This is the fourth and final book in the Shifters of the Seventh Moon, and I loved it! I was so happy that the two supernatural outsiders, finally get a real shot at love and a happily ever after. Martine and Arturo are in many ways polar opposites. Martine was born of light and has spent a good part of her long existence hunting demons. She has always kept a safe distance from the group of people she was trying to protect. Arturo, was the demon’s gopher and minion for 400 years. At one point he was in the same situation as Jack, Tre and Jean Luc, a bear shifter in love. Now Arturo sticks to the dark places, the shadows outside of the love the rest of the group exudes. Great Ending! I love the characters, even the originally hated Arturo. I really enjoyed the premise of the book, it’s not like a lot of shifter romances. The story connected all the books and all the characters to each other. Read them all!! I definitely enjoyed it. I received an Advanced Readers copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Excellent finish to a fine series! With the other six people already paired up, this book focuses on Arturo, centuries-old, ex-demon slave, and Martine, a light-being, demon-killer, hawk-shifter, and woman...with desires. Martine’s fascination with Arturo began long ago. She’s never been interested in a man before. When an attack on Arturo makes it sensible to spend nights together for safety, things begin to heat up between them. Bit by bit, Arturo softens, and love flares between them. Martine is amazing, with all her skills and what she can teach the others. You must read this to see what happens in the demon’s final attack! As always, Ms. Scott’s humor lends a light touch to a very serious and sometimes frightening situation. Awesome reading!
Fourth destination was Utah. They all drove in a yet another van together. Arturo was getting friendlier with the group. Martine was undecided to stay with the group now. Seeing as Arturo was now the official 7th map holder, she was no longer. Martine was very innocent to human emotions as well. She purposely stayed a bit distant from the group, thinking this is what she needed. She still trained the men in bear form. The demon came to Arturo one night during which he was asleep. Martine was there to hurt the demon and send him away. This prompted her to stay very close to him. Having him sleep next to her her in her bedroom. Arturo was catching feelings!! Great wrap up on the final book. It ended as it should have.
This final book was amazing especially the epilogue! I loved that the author tied this up in a neat little package, no questions, no yearning for more just a satisfying conclusion to a really good books series! I can see myself going back to reading them again and again it's that good! I look forward to reading more from this author, she has a great talent for storytelling, she keeps your interest until the very last page and while you will miss her characters cause she really does get you to care about them you just know they're going to be fine. Excellent series I highly recommend them!!
Fourth and last book in the series. I actually missed the first three but was able to jump into this one with no problem. The book catches you up on each of the characters. The seven and one goddess like female must destroy a demon. But to do it will most likely mean the death of more than one of them. But love will keep them going. The two main characters are quite opposite. Martine is light and can literally turn into a ball of energy. Arturo is darkness and used to be possessed by the demon. There is plenty of action as they fight the demon. But the love is overflowing.
Good ending to the series. This book focuses more on Arturo and Maritine. We find out why Maritine did not want to kill Arturo. Guarantee you will find hope, sadness, and oh don't forget the fighting. Can they find medium ground between everyone? Will they defeat the demon or will we lose someone? I received an arc copy for my honest review.
The best book out of the whole series. The group is still steady training to meet the demon and things are coming along. I LOVE how Arturo and Martine cleared the air. After all, they have been at each others throats for centuries. Some parts of the story had me laughing my tail off. This is a series I will read again it was so good. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
Don’t' remember if I mentioned... Don’t' remember if I mentioned in my other reviews but the whole demon thing was lame to the point that I didn't even care about that. I was more into the relationships being built then anything. Overall the stories were okay, just wished the villain part made more sense.
Such a good story,I was really not looking forward to the ending but you really have to read this book to find out what I mean. You will love the characters and cry for them.
The whole series really, was awesome. Kinda ridiculous and unbelievable, but still awesome. I LOVED the characters, I laughed and had a few happy tears. Such a great happy read
I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book. Well, I hoped for Arturo and Martine to find their HEA's in the last book of the series and - I'm literally blown away. I so did not expect for it to end like this. My oh my.
