is not a self-help book in the traditional sense. Its goal is not the superficial, short-term fix of making you feel better about yourself. Instead, Mark Manson is attempting to aid his readers in identifying what they really care about and how to focus on those values. He draws on several philosophies, including ancient ideas from Buddhism, to help us understand the pitfalls of modern life.
He describes the tyranny of exceptionalism and how it can sabotage your own self-worth. We also learn to accept the inevitable pain inherent in life so that we may learn and grow. Follow Mark Manson as he describes how to become a happier, more fulfilled, more satisfied person in the modern world.

Great summary. But I don’t agree with the premise of the book.
It was a good summery of The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck.n and discusses many good practices. I am glad I read this summary instead of wasting money on the book.
