Trusting Tess is a testament to the resilience of the human spirit. Connor and Tess are demanding, heartbreaking and inspiring. Ms. Dave took my emotions and wrung them dry with her deeply emotional story of beauty and light and darkness and pain. Sometimes our greatest strengths can turn out to be our biggest weakness. Connie Dave sets out to prove despite the flaws of character and the challenges of life, love is a journey worth taking in the end.

Trusting Tess is book two in the Bedford Park Series by Connie Dave. This is definitely not a stand alone book. You must read the first book in the series Finding Faith. These books are about people in a small town of Bedford Park. There are quite a few characters to keep up with and that can only be done by starting at the beginning of the series. That said, it is a fabulous series of books and well worth the read.
Dave’ writes masterfully. Her characters are real and touchable. She infuses humor at all the right places. There are quite a few steamy sex scenes in this book. Once I started I couldn’t put it down. Bravo Ms. Dave’! Looking forward to book 3 Saving Shay. I was gifted a copy of this book.

I am truly loving this series. Tess and Connors story was even better than I anticipated. As with Finding Faith it was so easy to connect with the many characters and to feel the raw emotion as they deal with their past, their present and their futures. I enjoy the writing style Connie Dave uses and I am really looking forward to reading further stories in this engaging series.

So this is book 2 in the Bedford Park Brides series and I am still hooked. I am having a hard time deciding if this is my favorite or not. This book was definitely as amazing as the first book, making the decision hard.
In this story Tess, Ben's little sister and mother of Hope, runs the town daycare. She has big dreams to expand and is close to making those dreams come true. But she still has a big secret. Who is Hope's father? She is still refusing to tell anyone until said father is ready to step up to the plate and become a full-time father.
Conner is Ben's best friend and he is carrying around a secret that could rip their friendship apart. But when Conner is leaving the daycare Hope yells out Daddy! Oh shit! Right!? Tess just happened to be talking to her friend Lacey when it happened. Ooopss! Cat is out of the bag now.
Conner tells Tess they are out of time and they are going to have to tell everyone soon. Well you can guess how that goes? A punch to the face and lots of yelling and walking away. Will they be able to repair all the damage that is done? Or will all the secrets come out and destroy everything including the fragile relationship Conner is building with his daughter?
This book was an extremely emotional read. I did a little bit of ugly crying in this one. I am so in love with the characters of Bedford Park. With each book they develop more and more. Even the past book characters are still developing and evolving. It is amazing.
This book really touches on your emotions and pulls at your heart-strings. The trials and tribulations of life that the characters endure are things that make you stop and really think about things that everyday people go through. Things that they hide and are afraid to confront. This particular book really hits on some tough areas. It is heartbreaking. A true testament of the heart and the strength of the human soul. Breathtaking, everlasting love of two wounded souls fighting against the odds. A truly inspiring read. I am looking forward to more stories from the gang at Bedford Park. Think if I beg hard enough Connie Dave` will continue the story.

I have just finished this excellent romance and in the meantime lost many hours of sleep, but I couldn’t put it down. I loved reading about Tess and Connor, wondering all the time about why they would keep everything such a secret. It just shows that when you decide to go for each other you have to be willing to share your deepest fears, insecurities and above all, your love. I raise my hat to Connie Davé, because once again she delivered a very great romance, located in a small town and in this small town friends and family become entangled and almost inseparable.

Tess Reynolds is the sister of the main character Ben in book 1 (Finding Faith). Tess has an adorable little girl, Hope, who is almost 2 years old. To this day, Tess refuses to tell any of her friends or family the man who fathered Hope. However, it becomes clear as Hope is talking and she yells “Daddy” to Tess’ friend Conner when he is leaving the daycare which Tess owns and operates. Oooops!
Conner McCoy has been Tess’ hero since the day he moved to the neighbourhood when they were children and he helped Ben from getting beat on by a bully. He has loved Tess as well since that time as he saw her swing her backpack at the bullies, intent on hurting them and getting them to leave Ben alone. Conner is Ben’s best friend, and has been harbouring secrets and feelings of panic about children since childhood.
Now that the secret is out, Conner and Tess need to surprise their family and friends with the news, as well as try to live as a real couple. This isn’t easy for Tess in particular as she believes Conner will run, as he’s done many times in their past. But Conner is not going anywhere, and he has a plan to prove it to Tess! But secrets have their way of of coming out and of causing lots of misunderstandings.
I think this story is better than Book 1! I loved reading the interactions with all the family and the closeness of the friends in Bedford Park! I also loved the surprise twists thrown in, keeping the story moving along at a good pace. I know the next book will be equally engaging, if not more so!
I highly recommend this book! It will make you laugh, cry a bit and give you all the feel goods you want from a HEA book!

There is heartbreak, secrets, guilt, love and trust in this story. This is the story of Tess and Connor, they have known each other for a long time and have a daughter together named Hope. Tess and Hope ended moving in with Connor when Tess' apartment caught fire. Tess and Connor kept their relationship a secret for a very long time and then one day at the Daycare [that Tess ran] Hope called Connor "daddy" and that is when they decide to tell their families the truth when they had family and friends over at Connor's and they get met with mixed emotions/feelings from the siblings on both sides and their parents took the news pretty good. Connor's brother wouldn't talk to him, Tess' brother and Connor talked things over and were still friends. Tess has plans to expand the Daycare to include a pool but, Connor is totally against it because of what happened to his little sister 20 years before [she had drowned in the pond] and Connor forgave himself. Then Hope got really sick and Connor called his brother [who is a doctor] and his brother rushed over, checked Hope out and called an ambulance to take Hope to the hospital and Hope did get better. Do Connor and Tess stay together? Does Tess get her wish for the Daycare? Do Connor's siblings forgive him for the secrets he and Tess kept from everyone? I fall in love with this author words during Finding Faith and as excited for the next book in the series. I was totally addicted to the book ‘Trusting Tess’ had me emotional, laughing, sad, excited, engrossed, crying, while the characters broke my heart with their amazing story. I can still not believe this is only the second book Connie Dave has written, her storytelling is just amazing. Learning to face tragedy with the help of the ones you love and moving on after your world has crumbled is one of the lessons you will receive reading this wonderful moving story. I just love the sweet little girl Hope in this story she was what every mother wisher for her daughter to be like at the age of 2.
If you have not read “Finding Faith” you can still read this book as even though they are a series they are also stand-alone set in a small town full of romance and very interesting and loving characters. I received an ARC copy of this book in which this is my voluntary and honest review of this great book I could not put down as it moved so much with its inspirational tale. Second in the series and I definitely enjoyed this one better than Faith and Bens story.... I'm not sure if it was because the author had set the story up so well in the first book but I found myself intrigued by Connor and Tessa's story even before I started.
Once again she has crammed a lot into this book. There are some real golden moments with Connor and Hope that had me chuckling! Their relationship is very special.
The serious subjects aren't just touched on but are properly researched and dealt with to completion not just a quick fix. There are more intense and intimate moments in this one too which I appreciate as it gives more realism to the relationship between Connor and Tessa who are obviously both very passionate people about everything in their lives, so it stands to reason that they will be passionate about each other too.
My heart broke for Connor and the way his anxiety had held him back was really upsetting.
Once again Ms Davè has set up the next book nicely and I find myself looking forward to learning Shays demons and getting a proper appointment with the lovely doctor😉

Book Review: Finding Faith

A very well written romance. This is a friends to lovers/girl next door/ best friends little sister, book. The second in a series, you can read this book as a stand alone. You will not miss anything concerning Tessa and Connor. Tessa and Connor grew up next door to each other and Connor was a few years older, and her brother Bens best friend.
After many years of lies, secrets, running away and hiding things from each other and their families, it is all about to come crashing down on them.
This book will have you feeling all the feels. The naughty bits are very well written and not detailed very descriptivly so makes it not as racy as some books.
The story line is heart wrenching at times and there are times it is light hearted but this is by far a wonderful book and it will definitly leave you wanting more.
The greatest thing, if you do read them in order, you still get to see Faith and Ben from book one. And of course all of the main characters are there.
Connie Dave is a new author but I am really looking forward to her other books in this series.

Emotion-packed book 2 of the Bedford Park series!
This book has it all: pain, fear, secrets and lies, but above all, love, trust, patience and faithfulness! It's just full of emotion and is sure to pull on your heartstrings.
The protagonists in this book, Tess, Ben's younger sister and mother of Hope, and Connor, Ben's best friend and Hope's secret daddy, have so much growing to do. He's a building developer whose office is upstairs from the daycare she runs. But they have so many secrets. Layer by layer Ms. Dave unfolds and reveals them in such an honest way that it makes this reader cheer for Tess and Connor.
Ms. Dave has a special way of writing deep sensitivity and vulnerability from a male's point of view that one doesn't usually find from most authors. She has a unique talent for sharing that with her readers.
The secondary characters are very loving, likeable, protective and supportive friends from book 1 who keep developing throughout, each waiting for a story of his or her own to be told.
I look forward to many inspiring books from Connie Dave!!!

Ms Dave takes us back to Bedford Park. This time it’s Tess Reynold’s and Connor McCoy’s story. She is his best friend’s “little sister” and also the mother of his daughter. A daughter that no knows he has fathered and a relationship with Tess no ones realizes is more than friendship. But all that is about to become known, especially when Hope, their daughter, sees him and calls him Daddy while at the daycare Tess owns.
Needless to say, the revelation caused a great deal of anger, fighting and a possible destruction of a childhood friendship.
The story deals with secrets, mistrusts, guilt , sadness and grief for the losses they have all endured. But it’s also a story about forgiveness, hope, new beginnings and love.
An emotional rollercoaster ride that will have you experiencing sadness for the characters but also great joy .

I absolutely loved this book it was emotional, caring and pure love with some sercrets . Connie Dave has written a great romance with so much heart. The characters were just so easy to love, they were were so interesting they felt like everyday people. Tess and Connor have been dancing around one another since they were children, one she was his best friends little sister and two Connor doesn't feel he can protect her. Soon thing get a bit heated between these two wonderful characters, and they must face this together. Sometimes well kept sercrets become so much more when the truth comes out. I highly recommend this great book it was hard to put down and definitely a real page turner, a Must Read.

I don't even know where to begin. "Finding Faith" was exquisite. This is even more incredible. Connie Davé certainly knows how to tell a story. This glorious stand-alone small town romance is so much more than that. It is a life-affirming celebration of love, a glorious tribute to that part of us we hold tightly to our core and only give to those whom we trust the most in the world. "Trusting Tess" will rip your heart out, smash it to pieces, and then carefully reconstruct it bit by bit until it is bigger and fuller than you've ever imagined it could be. And, you might just quietly enjoy a few steamy moments or chuckle aloud to some hilarity, too.

Secrets can get away from you
OMG shocker alert! What a secret the two main characters, Tess and Conner, are keeping from everyone! Sometimes what is meant to be is meant to be. After expressing her feelings and him letting her down easy before he goes away, they are somehow reunited by living near each other. They give in to their feelings and there is a beautiful result! But they keep it from everyone, including their families and especially Tess's brother whom is Conner's best friend. Go ahead and read the story to see how it all turns out. You won't regret it! Loving this author, and loving Bedford Park!

This book 2 in the "Bedford Park Brides" series is a true gem! Connie Davé has created a wonderful series; I read and reviewed book #1 as well and I feel just as great about recommending this one. What I like the best about Connie's books is that she crafts wonderful characters. These are people that you understand and can cheer on. You feel good after reading the books in these series. There is a lot to be said about that.

Trusting Tess is the second installment of the Bedford Park Brides. This can be read as a stand-alone but I would recommend reading the 1st book in the series.
This story is about Connor and Tess and trusting each other to go public with there long term on and off again relationship.
Connor has loved Tess for as long as he can remember. But with a past filled filled with nightmares can he learn to let go and trust Tess?

Trusting Tess is the second installment of the Bedford Park Brides. This can be read as a stand-alone but I would recommend reading the 1st book in the series.
This story is about Connor and Tess and trusting each other to go public with there long term on and off again relationship.
Connor has loved Tess for as long as he can remember. But with a past filled filled with nightmares can he learn to let go and trust Tess?

Oh...the feels
Connie Davé has an art to writing. Her books are not just romance, boy meets girl, falls in love, happy ever after. Oh, no..that would be the norm. Everyone does that. No, Connie writes books that deal with everyday life. The author takes you on a journey of emotion. Happy, sad, happy, joy, sad, happy. Reading this book had me in tears. Sad tears. Then happy tears. If you want a book that will bring you into the story, I highly suggest reading Trusting Tess.

Amazing story. It’s sweet and heartwarming with some heartbreaking moments. This book will capture your heart as it takes you through an emotional ride. You will absolutely fall in love with the characters. The loved the connection and chemistry between the characters. I enjoyed reading Tess and Conner’s journey as secrets are revealed and hope and love conquer in the end. I voluntarily reviewed an advance copy of this book.

Voluntary review of an ARC. Another wonderful romance from Connie Dave. Her characters are always so true to life. They face the same problems we all experience. All parents are terrified something might happen to their children and their grandchildren, and that never goes away. Tess and Connor struggle with their love and trust in each other. I'm looking forward to reading more of this series and I highly recommend it.

Just like Connie Davé first book Finding Faith, Trusting Tess is a real winner. This book covers everything you would want in a great romantic novel. Teen love morphing into forever love, serious issues, setbacks, major secrets, conflict and finally an HEA. This book needs to be read. So read and enjoy.

Amazing plot with well-developed characters who made me laugh and cry from the tragic in the story. Connor and Tess have a banter throughout that makes it all come together. Both have issues they need to resolve but are helped by friends and family to overcome. An incredible book that will make you glad you picked it up.

Trusting Tess: Fantastic love story! Loved the challenges that the characters went through. Loved how Conner and Teas both had to prove and trust each other. It was a heartwarming Story. I Loved all the characters and Hope was adorable. I Loved everything about this book. Connie Dave did a wonderful job!

Good Read
Tess’ and Conner’s story was a nice follow up to Finding Faith. Their characters had a lot of grief, guilt and mistrust to deal with in their relationship; however, at time their immaturity and poor communication was frustrating. It seems seeking professional help for Conner would have seemed appropriate.

Such a fantastic story! This town, these families, all the secrets, and the chemistry of this couple is awesome!! The drama, the tension, the backstory, all of it!! You will definitely want to read this one, and book 1 as well! They're interconnected standalones, each book revolving around a different couple.

This is a wonderful book! The characters and the story are relatable to real life people and situations. Connie Dave has a way of writing that makes you feel like you could be friends with the characters and a part of the story. This is an amazing series.

This book was seriously amazing. Full of heartbreak and love and so much more. I can't wait to read the next book by Connie Davé. She has a way of drawing me in and making me stay put.

Loved this book! I love the characters and reading the struggle they have to get to a happily-ever-after. It is so wonderful to see the characters evolve and throughout the series they grow on you!
