What do you do if you think your life is coming to an end? How will you live in your final days? For Georgina, you make a list - a list of your sexual fantasies. This story is angsty. Both of the characters are dealing with pasts that have brought them so much pain. As the reader, you want them to be together from the start. They have an undeniable chemistry, and you know that they can "complete" the other. However, as this is the first book in a duet, the story ends with no HEA in sight. In general: Love story with a mix of fun, hot sex and sadness.
Main characters:
- Georgina Stone. Her mother died of breast cancer. And about her 15th year Georgina got the same illness. She was cured after an intensive treatment. And was ‘clean’ for five years. But it looks like the cancer returned. Now in her other breast. On that moment the serious, conscientious student she was, decided to make a bucket or f**klist of all the sexual things she wanted to do before dying. And no treatment again. Neglecting her study she spends all her time on finishing the 8 items of her list.
- Blake Rowell. He helps Georgina with the second item of her bucketlist. And they like each other. So he volunteers to help her with other points on her list. Georgina agrees but doesn’t want involvement. But Blake likes her and suspects that there is something wrong with Georgina’s health. She keeps the return of the cancer a secret for him. A relationship with a dying girlfriend would cause him too much pain.
Lena Fox created a great story. Sometimes funny and with hot sex scenes. In other parts the book is loving and sad. It ends with a cliffhanger and this reader is looking forward to the next part of Romance and Ruin.

Georgina is a women on a (sexy) mission.
She created a FBucket List, her very own list of sexy-things-to-do-before-you-die. It's not long before she falls into Blake's arms, who's obviously quite eager to help her crossing out some of the items on THAT list.
Even though I found Blake's character quite superficial at start (just another good looking guy only looking for some action), I absolutely adored getting to know more about him throughout the book, he's such a sweetheart. He made my heart melt a couple of times.
My problem however is Georgina, I found it so hard to relate to her and some of the choices she makes.

Georgina made herself a bucket list of sorts, and losing her virginity is pretty high on that list. One night she meets Blake. He finds out about her list and offers to help. All's going well, until he finds out the truth about her and her list, and she finds out the truth about his past. Both truths are working against them. This book does have an open ending (cliffhanger of sorts) and thus you will need to read the next book 'The Forever List' to find out how their story ends. I really enjoyed the plot of the book, but I felt as though the writing was iffy. Mostly the conversations between the characters. Georgina lied to pretty much everyone, including her father. I know she was trying to protect them, but a lot of it felt as though she was going overboard. Her father knew of her condition and would have been a great support has she been honest with him. And she treated Blake quite poorly, and I wonder why he'd continue to be with her. I may sound cold-hearted, given both of their situations, but she didn't come across as a endearing character. Blake on the other hand appeared to be a saint. Obviously, there is some sexual content (that is after all, the whole basis of the book.) It reads fairly quickly. Alternating POVs, but primarily they are from Georgina's.

Wow! Wow! WOW! This book is an emotional, heart wrenching, moving...yet very funny look into a young womans life. I have laughed out loud and sobbed (so hard I couldn't see my kindle), but one constant is, I could not put it down! I started one evening and read throughout the night!
Georgina is the main character, who has created her own bucket list. Not just any bucket list, but a bucket list of a sexual nature. I am not going to go into the reason why, other than to say, as a teenager she had a rough time, for the rest you need to read the book. Georgina then meets Blake, who as you can imagine, thinks all his Christmas's have come at once! This story is about life, new love and family.
I cannot now wait for Book 2! Read this book, you will not be disappointed!

Honestly, I found myself hooked on this book from the very beginning. I fell in love with the characters of Georgina and Blake. I laughed with them and cried with them. They were two strangers who came together with the plan on having fun and marking things off of her list, but end up feeling much more for each other. Blake doesn't realize until it's too late that this is no ordinary list for Georgina. It's her bucket list because she has cancer. He's already lost someone tragically and this is not what he expected when he fell hard for her. Georgina spends most of the book keeping it a secret, and refusing to let anyone in to her heart. Now I must read the second book in this series because the suspense is killing me. Fingers crossed that they come together and good things happen! I did receive a free copy of the book and this is my honest review. Read it people!

Georgina meets Blake and he helps her with her list. Who could resist a romp in the hay with no strings attached?! Blake starts to have deeper feelings for Georgina and refuses to assist Georgina with some of the items on her list. Georgina keeps some information from Blake and it causes some strain in getting her list completed. She also considers she may be having feelings for Blake as well.
This one ends with kind of a cliff hanger. Grab some tissues you may need them.

This is the first book I've read by this author, but it certainly won't be the last. Mainly because I have to read the next book, but also because it was so good. Georgina's story was such an emotional one and took me on a rollercoaster ride. I loved her with Blake from the start and was cheering for them the whole way. I laughed, I cried, I smiled, and my heart broke throughout their journey. This was does end in a cliffhanger so I can't wait to grab the next one and see where their story goes. I would recommend reading this one.

This is a fabulous book that I couldn’t put down, it was a rollercoaster of emotion from laughter to tears and everything in between. For such a challenging subject, it wasn’t unexpected to have sad times, but the poignant sadness, flowing to laughter and joy was an unexpected treat. The characters are so real and relatable that you feel so invested in their journey, so my only question is... how long do I have to wait for book 2.
I highly recommend this book, a journey of courage, fear, family and love. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.

This is an amazingly emotional, heart wrenching and powerful story that will have you laughing, crying and feeling so many things. It is also very funny look at a young woman's life.
Georgina, the main character writes a sexually revealing bucket list that Blake, the other main character in the book finds.
I highly recommend this book

This is a fantastic, realistic book! The characters have already been through so much and are beginning to get into more. She’s dreading finding out she may have cancer again and has made up a bucket list, but she really don’t know what’s going on for sure. He’s not looking for more heartache, but she’s captured him and he is confused on what he wants to do. The ending is horrible! I cried! I cannot wait for the next book to see what happens! I’m voluntarily reviewing an advanced reader copy of this book.

Wow! So much emotion packed into this read! Where do these authors come up with these varied, wonderful storylines? Beautifully written, powerfully told. Blake and Georgie's story will have me thinking for a long time to come. I laughed. I cried.
This story asks, what would you do faced with death starring down on you. Cancer. A bold subject and Lena Fox handles it so well. I highly recommend this one. And, of course, you'll need to read second book for the finish.

what do you do when you think your life has an expiration date. People do strange things. Georgina creates a sexual bucket list. She has lived her life pretty much in a shell. She was a good girl, studied hard and kept to herself. Now she was to be "Brave Georgina" and do things she never really thought about before. Blake has his own secrets. When he meets Georgina and decides to help her with her list, he thinks he has won the lottery. No strings sex with a hot girl. As the story progresses, the characters grow and things change. This story bring out the emotions.

The storyline isn't that unique with the situation causing the "List" but the characters made it all worth it. I loved Blake and Georgie. I loved her funny list she was so gun ho about. It does have its soft heart wrenching moments so if you're the emotional type then you'll probably need tissue in hand. I'm looking forward to the next installation. Great job Ms. Fox.

The premise seemed interesting enough and the characters were alright. The fact that her bucket list seemed to only be about gaining certain experience just seemed a little shallow to me. It did explain later on why her bucket list was what it was but I guess it was not convincing enough for someone who was prepared to die. One of the characters seemed a little unnecessary to me as well. Overall it was alright.

The "live like you were dying" sex list. The "perfect" student decides to start living things up, and finds a guy willing to help her with her sexy bucket list. It's not a light romp, there's darkness we see on both sides. This book doesn't end with a HEA, hopefully the series will.
