Promising beginning to a new series...

I just hope this isn't going to be one of those where everyone gets mated and then everyone is having kids... like one out of five or something but not every single mate needs to be pregnant..

Buku pertama dari seri Mercury Rising, harus perkenalan dan butuh penyesuaian. Matt adalah seorang alpha wolf shifter yang mempunyai bisnis bounty hunter yang bernama Mercury Rising di kota yang bernama Mercury, memburu makhluk preternatural yang memiliki warrant bersama dengan para anak buahnya. Selama beratus tahun, Matt mendambakan fated mates tapi selama ini dia belum menemukan orang yang tepat mungkin karena dia mencari di tempat yang salah. Selama ini dia selalu berhubungan romantis dengan exotic dancers yang pastinya rupawan dan adventurous kebalikannya dengan Jason. Jadi pada saat dia bertemu dengan Jason, yang menurut Matt sedikit plain, Matt merasa tergugah dan pada saat mereka having sex akhirnya diketahui bahwa Jason adalah fated matesnya dia. Seorang shifter harus having sex terlebih dahulu untuk mengetahui apakah yang dia tiduri itu fated matesnya atau bukan. Jason adalah seorang manusia bukan seorang omega tapi bisa hamil. Rada heran juga sih biasanya yang bisa hamil cuma omega tp di buku ini tidak diberikan informasi mengenai hal tersebut.

So far I'm loving this new series by, Lynn Hagen. Matt was a wolf shifter who had found his human mate, Jason. Matt also had a friend who was part of his pack, Colton. I was worried about Colton through the whole story, and was even saddened by his situation wishing that authors would give every character a, "happily ever after", (except the evil people), and not just the main characters, please? I like this almost as much as her Brac Pack series, except instead of an, Ultionem, there's a, Consiglia, (much easier to pronounce to me), and instead of helpful vampires (such as Christian's Coven), there's evil psychotic vampires in this story. I hope that changes, and I also hope that the, Consiglia, becomes much more fair as a whole. Jason was adorable if not a bit stubborn, and Matt did the best he could as alpha of his pack. The ending truly surprised me in its creativity, and in how unexpected it was. I'm so happy that I've already got the first three books. Yayy. =)

Me gustó mucho el libro, aunque me pregunto qué fue de Benjamin, el amigo de Jason. Estoy algo acostumbrada a que los amigos de los protagonistas también formen parte de las parejas, y por un momento pensé que podría ser la pareja de Rio, por el tenso intercambio de palabras que tuvieron cuando Jason desapareció, pero por lo visto no será así...

I really do enjoy these kinds of books but idk this one seemed off. Maybe it was too fast paced or I felt like there was no real connection between the characters I honestly don’t know but I will continue reading.

Wow - not what I was expecting.
A bit dark - Carlton and his brother, plus the way the Consiglio works.
That said, nice Mpreg. I like the way Jason is dealing with his introduction to the wider preternatural world.

Very interesting...

This was a very interesting read, and I love paranormal stories. Matt and Jason were two men who were meant to be together. Jason went from living a normal life, to being kidnapped, mated to a wolf shifter and pregnant. Matt found himself rescuing Jason numerous times from a demon, who was sent to kill him and Colton. Now they are await the birth of their child. Then there's Colton risking everything, to save his ungrateful kid brother from the vampires. He later found his brother's dead body, and went seeking revenge against the master of the vampire coven. Later Colton is given an offer, which he couldn't refuse. I found myself reading this book in one day, it was so interesting with so much going on. I can't wait to read the next book, to see if Colton accepted the offer.
