Cold Case Detective and newlywed, Ronan O’Mara, is sitting on top of the world. When he returns to work after his honeymoon, he finds more waiting for him than a stack of dusty cold case files. Hidden in the mail on Ronan’s desk is a letter from Tank Hutchins, aka The Riverside Ripper. Convicted of murdering a woman three years ago, Tank claims he is innocent and asks Ronan and Tennyson for their help in proving who really committed the crime: his twin brother, Tim.

Psychic Tennyson Grimm is reluctant to meet with the convicted murderer who has placed his faith in Ten’s gift. When Tennyson realizes Tank is innocent of the crime for which he’s serving twenty-five to life, he knows that he and Ronan have to do whatever it takes to set things right.

Together with Tank’s private investigator, the mysterious Jude Byrne, Ronan and Tennyson retrace the steps of the original investigation hoping to find the one piece of evidence that will get Tank’s conviction overturned and bring the real killer to light.

When new evidence leads them to believe there’s a larger conspiracy at play, will Tennyson and Ronan be able to find the killer before he returns to complete his diabolical plan?

I liked this series from the beginning but I liked this book less than the others. It was nice to revisit with the rest of the Magick Shop crew but I am upset that 75% of the book was about personal relationships and most of the humor escaped me this time around and I skipped some pages.

I loved the case they were investigating but there was so little attention given to it that it was almost an afterthought. I wanted more investigative work, more things happening like in the first books that garnered my attention and liking other than everybody joking around. Maybe my taste in books changed or my sense of humor went on vacation but I was not amused as with the previous novels from the series. I didn't consider DNFing at any point but it was more of a power through the book real fast kind of reading. Disappointed to say the least. BTW, there was only one sexual scene if anyone wanted to know. :)

Loved it. This series just keeps getting better and better.
Whilst we have the cold case, or in this case, not so cold case we see a lot of Ronan and Ten's private life.
The turkey cook off was just crazy, as were the many variations of spatchcocked.
We have now met a new friend, Judas. I wonder whats with him and loved the idea he was a shifter and what kind of shifter he was.
Now I have 2 months to wait until book 8. :(

It all starts with a letter. A letter sent to Ronan from a man currently residing in a maximum security prison. He has been tried and convicted of a murder of a young woman a few years back. A murder he claims he did not commit. Ronan first dismisses the letter – after all doesn’t everyone proclaim they’re innocent? But he can’t get the letter out of his mind, and decides to go out to the prison to meet the man, Tank. Whilst talking to the man Ronan starts to believe his innocence, but in order for Tank to be innocent, the murder must have been committed by his identical twin. Ronan enlists Ten to help him free Tank and make the guilty party pay.

I’m a huge fan of this series, it really works for me. I love the characters, the family Ronan and Ten is creating, the friends. I love Greeley, watching him grow, no thrive, he really deserves all the happiness he can get. Then there is Kaye, Ten’s mother, whom we first met in the last book Dead to Me. Their relationship is still strained. How can it not be – she and his father did throw Ten out when he was eighteen. Still they are making progress, making an effort to put the past behind them and look forward, starting over. There’s no magic fix, they are not instantly close, but they are taking slow steps to get there.

Ronan and Ten, Ronan mostly, also “adopts” a new person into their circle. Fighting and clawing and with some head-butting to boot, still he became a part of the gang. I do believe Jude is here to stay and it will be interesting to see where it all goes from here as he adds another twist to it all.

Michael Pauley is made for this series! He captures the essence and feel of the plot and all the characters. He makes you feel what the characters feel, that intensity of the first fight (don’t worry it doesn’t last long), the love between Ronan and Ten. The mixed feelings they have towards Kaye, it’s all there in Pauley’s voice. He takes these characters and give them life, and makes you a part of theirs.

I had a blast listening to this book and can’t wait to find out what happens next. Something tells me the relaxing cruise won’t be as relaxing as they all hope…

Another great addition to Cold Case Psychic Series, except this one, isn't a cold case! Interesting twists and turns along the way and I got a better idea of what Jude's personality is like. Hmmm, "J"...maybe it's not Jace, but Jude who is destined or Kevin?

I don't know what the future books will hold for adventure for our psychic group and their families, but I am sure it'll be interesting. Though the part about Tens and Ronan was sweet, I'm a little sad to learn so much about the child with no surprises.

I was so hoping for a little boy Tennyson to tell the truth; Ronan would have loved that child so much being a part of his husband. Ronan has such a big ego that having this daughter is going to burst his head!

A wonderful love story that keeps getting better.

My favorite boys are back and there is nothing holding them back... or so they thought. Following their wedding, Ten and Ro are settling into married life and moving into the for better or worst stage. When a criminal is asking for help, it's up to the men to work the case that seems to have no leeway. Every turn is like a dead end, but there is no way that never will ever enter into anyone's vocabulary.

With friends and family involvement, the guys find themselves moving backwards in the case in order to right a wrong. Is the killer exactly whom everyone thinks he is, despite his claims of innocence? Who really is the enigmatic P.I. named Jude Bryne? And why is he so difficult to read?

Pandora Pine penned the perfect getting to know you story that bought romantic suspense and the paranormal together with rediscovering the men of West Side Magick. Dive into the next installment of Cold Case Psychic and get to know this unconventional family even better.

I voluntarily and honestly reviewed this book without bias or persuasion from the author.

I received a copy of this book by the author for an honest opinion.
Now I've read along this series from the beginning with these boys and look forward to the next story each time and this one is no different. Ronan after getting a letter from a prisoner that asks for his and Tens help to prove his innocence, goes on a crusade to prove this man's innocence though tens less infused. But when he finally relents and goes to see the man he finds him to be truthful but his DNA was found at the crime scene so if not him then it's got to be his identical twin. This case also bumps them into Jude a golden eye gorgeous man who practically could of been Ronans brother from birth with his same charming personality as the grumpy cop.
I must admit this book was a very enjoyable read but I also felt slightly disappointed. The prologue of the written letter from the conduct set this plot up nicely and I was excited to jump right into the story to see how it all unfolded but there wasn't much mystery to back up the beginning and it was almost an afterthought from the main story which just happened to be the dynamics of Ronan and Tens family. Don't get me wrong I loved seeing the progress and interaction of greely and of course kaye and all the other couples but it just would of been nice for us to have a little more of the mystery as I thought it was too cut and dry and never gave me that intrigue and edge of my seat feeling. Once I found out by tens powers who it was not I was thinking maybe? And it turnt out I was right but it was a sudden anti climatic ending to a mediocre mystery.
Now I've had a gripe about what I thought about the mystery aspect, I thought the author had engaging characters and I'm seriously liking Jude of the golden leonine eyes and I'm wondering just what he is, supernatural? And I suppose I will have to find out in the next book but I enjoyed his and Ronans bickering
“I’m Bertha’s new love muffin, huh?” Jude grinned. “Suck it, O’Mara!”
“No one is sucking anything! What the hell is this, kindergarten?” Fitzgibbon shook his head.
And I think this character will certainly bring comedy value to further books. I'm also looking forward to seeing what happens next in there life as there on the journey to meeting there little miss. An enjoyable light hearted read.
I love the book cover.

Murder and reasonable doubt

This was a wonderful continuation of the cop-psychic romantic suspense adventures of Ronan and Tennyson. Ronan is a Boston police detective assigned to the cold case division. Tennyson is a psychic who works as Ronan’s partner to help solve cases. This book picks up where the last book ended. Ronan and Tennyson are married and discussing children. In an interesting twist, they are asked by a convicted murderer, Tank, to help him prove his innocence. The only thing connecting him to the crime is his DNA but he is an identical twin. While Ronan and Tennyson are investigating Lorraine’s murder and Tank’s innocence in their off hours, there are still cold cases to solve along with interesting psychic mysteries. As always, the story was well written and included witty dialogue, three dimensional main characters, a rich and diverse supporting cast, and an engaging storyline with sweet moments, steamy scenes, action, dangerous situations, ghosts, loyal friends, tragic back stories, mystical coincidences, snark, plot twists, big feels, and laughs. I love this series and these characters.

I started this series in audio, and have since read all the books to date. I just couldn't be patient enough to wait for the audios to be released! The narration of this series really brings it alive for me and this story was no exception! I think I say this with every book, but the series just gets better for me! I love that the newlyweds continue to build their chosen family. Meanwhile Ten and Ronan continue to drive each other crazy every once in a while, while still being madly in love with each other. I enjoyed having Tennyson's mother in this book and the dynamic she brought to the family Tennyson and Ronan have cultivated. Plus, could Greely be any cuter in this story?! I always like seeing what the rest of Ten and Ronan’s family gets up to. These books always have everything I am looking for in a great romantic mystery: love, intrigue, laughter, suspense, and toss in some feelings there too! I really enjoy this series and I am always ready for the next book!

Fantastic Narration & Wonderful Story

Though this wasn’t as emotional as some of the past books I’ve read or listened to in this series, I was still kept on the edge of my seat. This who-done it mystery of identical brothers had me engulfed in anticipation wanting to know the outcome. And what an outcome. I totally didn’t see this one coming and I loved that it surprised me so much.

I enjoyed that the whole gang was once again in the story, but that it revolved more around Tennyson and Ronan really was nice. The two work so well together even if they don’t always see eye to eye.

I’m still waiting for Greely to get his own story. Love that kid!

Michael Pauley does another wonderful job with portraying each character individually. I couldn’t imagine him not narrating these stories. He truly has an amazingly talented voice.

I liked it, but not as much as previous installments.
The case was soap like. I love a good soap storyline, but I wasn't feeling it this time.
Maybe because the case felt tossed in, and the real story was all the relationships. The group of side characters is getting bigger. I like them, but they kinda took over this round. At least I finally know who Jude is.

Overall: 4.5 Stars!

So, confession time. I haven't read or listened to any of the previous books in the Cold Case Psychic series, but I have read (and loved) the Haunted Souls series, which is a spin-off from this one. Frankly, I think I was more confused when I started Ghost of Himself than when I was reading Dead Ringer. Pandora Pine does a great job of giving enough background information about the characters she introduces without making it seem superfluous or too much. And to be perfectly honest, one of the reasons I picked up this book was because it's where Ms. Pine introduces Jude Byrne and the other reason was the case, with me having twin daughters, I find the subject fascinating (just don't tell them that, LOL).

I had met Ronan and Tennyson as secondary characters in HS and I really liked them, and maybe because of that, it was easy to connect with them here as well. Their chemistry and the love they share are palpable and they're really hot together. I loved that they were both flawed and that even if they're thoroughly invested in their marriage, that doesn't mean that they won't fight or get angry when the other one does something not too bright.

I think the secondary characters, including the awesome Bertha, play a big part in how good the books are. The sense of family and friendship, of them all rallying together to help each other, are a huge bonus in reading these books.

The case was really interesting. Twins and the fact that even when they're identical can be so diametrically different from each other is intriguing for me.

The story was well thought out and entertaining and I'll definitely go back (and forward) at some point to learn more about Ronan and Tennyson and their friends.

The narration was really good. There were a few places in which Michael Pauley seemed to pick up steam and go really fast and almost run out of breath as he spoke, but for the most part, the narration was quite solid and enjoyable and I have no trouble recommending this audiobook, especially if you're a fan of the series already.

The bliss of marriage gives way to resuming normal routines and Ronan finds his "welcome back to work" particularly disturbing. Not only is there a huge pile of files from the rest of his department, but a rather intriguing letter tops the list of surprises. A convicted murderer declares his innocence and requests a visit from him and Tennyson to clear his name. On a pursuit for the truth they find another lonely soul to adopt into their family that might be more than he appears. But when the truth is more confusing than they expected, they'll have to figure out a way to stop the real killer before they get caught up in a deadly plot.

So...I'm not sure I get it. Was the ending of Dead to Me too happy and were the characters all becoming too in-touch with their feelings? Because we're back to sniping, short tempers, emotional outbursts, hurtful words, general a-hole moments, and arguments that really don't make a lot of sense. I don't understand. I had a hard time getting through some moments because I wasn't sure why there was arguing going on in the first place, what purpose those "conversations" served, or why Ronan was so anti Jude all the time even after they had some good moments. There was an incredible amount of disconnect in this story between the character development that's been happening and the big moments of reversion many of them seemed to be experiencing.

As for the case, it felt a bit too frenetic. There wasn't the best build-up for what later exploded into crazy. It's as if we can't go from start to finish in a case with clues actually being followed through or have a confrontation that feels organic. That being said, I like where we're going overall with this story, the additional characters and changes in shop operations, so that was a positive. The ending was so full of love and future that it's hard to not like the direction of the series. I'm still all-in with these men though, so let's hope we get back on track.

Another wonderful, delightful, enthralling book in the amazing Cold Case Psychic Series by Pandora Pine. These books are so good. Once I start, I cannot put them done. This book is no exception. Tennyson and Ronan are the most perfect couple I can imagine. They are married now and very much in love as ever, or even more so. Oh, they have their quarrels and little spats, but they haven’t given up their lovey-doviness and hilarious banter. The best part is that they keep growing. Every time you learn a bit more about them, get to know them some more.
As always they are surrounded by a stellar secondary cast. Although I must say, they are hardly secondary anymore. All the men and women have their own, rightful place in their extended family. And that is what this book is all about. Family. It doesn’t matter where you come from, how old you are, what you can or cannot do, whether you are dead or alive, or even of the canine variety. Kevin, Greeley (the absolute best), Truman and Carson and their little babies, Cole and Cassie, Grandma Kaye, Bertha and Erin (they are naughty, hilarious ghosts), little Pixie. They all are part of one big, happy family. And the family keeps expanding with the introduction of Jude, the mysterious PI. He is a perfect fit for the others.
Of course, there is another case, and everyone helps Tennyson and Ronan to solve it. It is another captivating, fascinating, and thrilling adventure. The author is a master in throwing the reader for a loop at every turn, and once again, she managed to give the story a surprising twist. Every time she comes up with an intriguing and different case that has you sitting on the edge of your seat.
This is the sixth book in the Cold Case Psychic Series. The books should be read in order to get the most enjoyment out of them.

So then ... this volume 6 was really surprising. After the volume, very nerve-wracking, I liked that this volume is a little more relaxed and we breathe a little. Whether we drive or the characters. The survey was very interesting and I liked that once again, Ronan and Ten have to approach it in a different way. I really liked this aspect of the investigation and the introduction of a new character. The arrival of Jude suggests a different twist for the rest of the series and I must say that I'm a little on the reserve and I'm not sure I want the author to take this direction for the series. However, nothing is really established in this volume so I will wait to read more to say.

Regarding the personal life of Ronan and Ten, who once again is just as important in the novel as the investigation, I liked what the author proposes in this volume. I would like to have a little more scene with Jace but I do not lose hope for the volumes to come.
I must say however that over the years, the privacy aspect takes more space than the investigation that are resolved in the last pages in a rather hasty manner. It's a little frustrating though, even though the scenes with Ten and Ronan's loved ones are still enjoyable. I really like the relationship between the two men and the relationship they have with the family they created is just as beautiful and strong.

The series is still as good and does not run out of steam, even if this 6th volume allows us to blow a little after a very heavy 5th volume. I can not wait to read more about Ronan and Ten's adventures even though now that I'm nearing the end, I really do not want to say goodbye.

Brilliant as always!

Another thrilling case for Ten and Ronan! I really liked Pandora's mind and this case is a unique twisted challenge that will test the newlywed. I still love Ten and Ronan and everything about them and their made/found family. As they come back from a very short 'not quite' honeymoon and they both head back to work; an inmate has a letter waiting for Ronan. Unfortunately, the way Ronan chooses to handle this letter and subsequent start of the case causes the first fight for the newly married couple. We see all the favorites of the West-side Magic family as they rally around Ten and Ronan.

This case is twisted but it brings Jude into our lives!!! I'll admit I really didn't like Jude or his attitude and if I hadn't read his story first I'm sure I would have hated him! He is just like Ronan and I love his introduction and 'induction' into the family!! Fitzgibbon is hilarious in giving Jude a 'name' and welcoming him into the crew!!

Another thrilling case and surprising reveal. We meet some new (very important) characters that I know I will love. As always I loved it and look forward to what's next for the whole, ever expanding,  family!!!

This series seriously gets better and better, even when I didn't think it was possible! Newlyweds Ronan and Ten and their family and friends are back for a new adventure in Dead Ringer. I like the premise of this story a lot, with a convicted murderer contacting the couple for help proving his innocence. While Ronan and Ten are settling into married life, Pandora Pine meticulously crafts an intriguing case for them filled with friction on all sides, twists and turns, and a surprising ending that threw me for a loop in the best way. One thing I really enjoy about this series is just how close and involved all of their friends and family are in their lives and their mysteries, and this book has that in spades. I especially love where the author is taking Greeley, and the appearance of a new character named Jude is perfection. He and Ronan don't exactly get along, and it is both refreshing and hilarious. I love that there are clearly so many more stories to be told in this world, and I absolutely cannot wait for them all! And guys, I really, really love Ronan. Watch out, Ten. ;)

This series should be read in order, so if you have not started from the beginning, I highly recommend it!

This is the sixth book in The Cold Case Psychic Series. An intriguing book the writing was good. The plot was entertaining and it was steady throughout the book. I found the story and characters wonderful. The characters were developed and thought out. Detective Ronan O’Mara and Psychic Tennyson Grimm are the MC’s of this book. There was humor, twins, police, spirits, twists, friends and family, holidays and so much more in this book.

Here is a quote from the book, “One vote for grinch-popping, Hmm, I wonder who wrote that, Kaye?” … “Splat-flopping.” Ronan recognized the writing as Carson’s. … Trench-dropping.” … “Spatchcocking. Atta boy, Greeley! … “Cut out my backbone and flatten me out, accompanied by an illustration of a turkey holding its wings over its eyes.” … “Flat-bopping.” … “Fart-stopping.” … “Art-whopping!” … “Splash-shopping.” … ”And lastly, the Bobby Flay way, because one of us can’t spell…”. There is more but you will need to read the book which I can highly recommend. I really enjoyed this book and can’t wait for the next book. I voluntarily read an advance copy of this book for an honest review.

I will never get tired of Ronan and Tennyson. Six books in, they're married, their chosen family keeps growing, and they are still crazy about each other. They're also still driving each other crazy, which I love.
This time around, they aren't working on a cold case. Ronan receives a letter from a man who is in prison, convicted of murder. He says he's innocent, but he has an identical twin who might not be. The guys have their work cut out for them.
Meanwhile, there is Thanksgiving to think about. Greeley - who I adore - has been growing closer to Ten's mother Kaye, and he's gently but persistently working on changing her attitude. Bertha and Erin are still visiting from the other side. And there is a new man on the scene, the mysterious PI Jude, who is constantly butting heads with Ronan. What might Jude be hiding?
This series is so entertaining. I love all the characters, and I'm always excited to see what will happen next. I recommend all the books, and I look forward to reading even more in the future!

Twists and new "family" members in this psychic/detective MM romance

3 stars

Book 6 has a crazy detective case, a new "family" member, and many plans for the future.

Here we have Ro and Tenn planning to continue life like planned but then a crazy letter shows up saying a man currently in prison is innocent and Tenn can prove it. This case has a bunch of crazy twists.

What I liked was the Christmas epilogue. I really liked the introduction of a new secondary character... or two. I'm looking forward to what's to come!

What I didn't like was how easily the "family" allowed another person into their circle. That feels like a security risk. I also do NOT understand why Tenn's mother is always allowed to be a total jerk to Tenn. They should tell her to take a hike!

Overall, it was a good story but it has gotten a little stale being a really similar story process for each book. I'm looking forward to the next book with Ro, Tenn, and the gang on a celebrity cruise to Bermuda! Woo hoo!

Another great entry in the series

Pandora Pine is swiftly becoming one of my favorite authors. This book has an interesting murder mystery (though I figured out the solution pretty early on) and introduces some interesting new characters to the family.

I’m a little disappointed that Tony and Carla are out of the picture. I’d have liked to see the friends have to deal with the dynamic of the fallout from the last book. There was a whole lot there to deal with and it sort of just ended up hanging there.

Editing is a bit of a problem in this book. I nearly lost it when the murder victim is called two different names A SENTENCE APART! How does that even happen?! Several typos were scattered throughout the book as well. The author definitely needs better editors/proofreaders.

Psychic Tennyson and Cold Case Detective Ronan are back in Dead Ringer, the 6th book in the Cold Case Psychic series. This time they are asked by a convicted murderer to help prove his innocence. Although it's not a cold case, the team decides to look into the crime when Tennyson reads the incarcerated man's innocence. The case is going to be hard since DNA doesn't lie and that's how he got convicted... but TWINS share DNA. Now, they just need to find proof of the real killer.

Another great addition to the wonderful series by Pandora Pine. We get to see all our favorite characters manuvering their way through the case and family life. Fun, humor, sweet moments, sexy times... everything we love about these books. Can not wait for next installment.

I received this book as an advanced reader's copy and voluntarily am leaving my honest review and recommendation.

Just wow! I've loved this series from the start and this is just yet another instance of Pandora Pine's fantastic writing, drawing us into a great mystery storyline but also the ongoing lives of the family that Ronan and Tennyson have chosen for themselves.
Ten and Ronan are settling into married luff but it doesn't take long to get drawn into the mystery of a man convicted if murder asking the duo for help, made especially intriguing when Ten reads the man and discovers something unexpected.
Back to normal work lives for them both, family drama amongst themselves and their friends and the upcoming holiday season adds that special something to another addition to a spectacular series.
Fingers crossed for book 7!!
I received an ARC and am happily giving a review
