After discovering my true heritage, I’m finally back to training at the academy so that I can become the powerful fae I was always meant to be. My four seductive instructors are by my side, and the realm is finally healing after years of conflict between the courts.
Until one of the fae at the academy is murdered…and then another. It looks like the killer is a dangerous wolf-like beast, one lashing out at random victims by instinct. But I’m not convinced.
Storms are brewing in the skies once again. Shadows loom on the horizon.
The Dark Fae are coming.
And they’re coming for me.
A Touch of Starlight is the third and final book in the spellbinding Otherworld Academy series.

Well this one is my favorite so far. I liked the fact that we learnt more about her mother. I liked the background on the redcaps and the dark fae. The story flowed well and I can't wait to find out more. I'm still not convinced about the romance part of the book and glad I had other things to focus on.
I'm incredibly surprised at the way this book ended. I feel like the author got tired of this narrative and rushed it, rather poorly at that. I feel kind of like I wasted my time reading up until now. Nothing is truly resolved. No development. Just an end to call it an end.
The first two books suck and I want my money back so I'm not gonna read this one. I doubt it'll be a saving grace. Probably just more of Norah being aroused and special and the villain being really flat and stupid in a plot that whips by like the author expects the audience to have the attention span of a goldfish.
I should’ve DNF’d because oh my god this was terrible. If people are managing to publish shit like this THEN WHAT is holding me back? It’s like a poorly written wattpad story made it out and it’s just garbage. Such disappointment from the other books. I’m not finishing this series because I’ll hate myself if I do.
The first books were great, but this one felt like the author had run out of momentum. All the ends neatly tied without much drama or interest. The trouble is, it raised a lot of questions and issues and they were just skimmed over. I'm sorry to say, but I was disappointed with this book and I won't be following the spin off series.
I'm really sad to say this as the previous books in the series had me totally hooked, but this ending really let me down. If I'm completely honest, I didn't even realise it was the end until the last page. I was expecting a much more detailed conclusion to these characters' story, and although I know the series continues with Bree's journey, I felt that I didn't really get full closure on the original main characters that I had got to know and love. I felt it was quite anticlimactic, and it's not often that I finish a series that I've really loved and outright think to myself, "I'm disappointed". However, I do plan on continuing to read Bree's story as I want to know more about the dark fae and their world, and that is unusual for me as I don't normally like series in which the main characters change.
*Fans of Sara J Maas will LOVE this Fae Series!!!* These books are like Fae fairytales in every sense of the word. I adored it from start to finish, and was immediately drawn in to this beautiful and romantic story. It was easy to get swept away into this story, and I enjoyed every moment. I couldn’t put this down till I finished, and I was very satisfied with the ending. Highly recommend for an enchanting and captivating read.
What a struggle and fight to the end. I loved the complicated twist and turns that this book offered. Though to be truthful every book I have read by Jenna Wolfhart has been amazing!
SYNOPSIS (of Trilogy): The story is set in the modern world but it‘s one that does not know that fae exist. The FC (Norah) discovers on her 18th birthday that she is a changeling Fae swapped at birth for a human baby. She is taken by 4 Fae instructors to Otherworld Academy to learn about being a Fae and to be trained. Many years earlier there had been a revolution where the Autumn Court had assassinated the ruling Queen of all the Fae Courts (Marin) and the Fae had been broken up into 4 ruling seasonal Courts each with their own royalty. There are 4 instructors from each of the seasonal Courts who work at the academy and she connects with them as mates. As time passes she discovers she has powers linked to more than one Court which which is unusual as usually a Fae is linked to only one Court. The Autumn Queen is intent on taking over all the Courts and killing any Royalty and opposition. The Trilogy covers how Norah learns who and what she is and the fight against Viola and subsequently the Dark Fae. There are 3 following book but they deal with a different but linked character.
Heat level: 🌶️🌶️/🍆🍆 - there are limited sex scenes or sexy times and the writing of the scenes was, in my opinion, lacking in heat.
The writing is OK but despite being second editions the books have a few typos and editing issues. The story itself starts off slow and I almost gave up but then it picks up. The trilogy had its ups and downs in retaining my attention and I skimmed parts. Unfortunately the story lacks any originality which would be that big a problem if the writing was high quality and the characters engaging. Unfortunately that isn‘t the case here. The FC is supposed to be strong but does a lot of whining and actually doesn‘t show any real strength of character or fighting ability. She‘s simply lucky enough to have some powers that carry her through. There‘s no real character development and it is hard to see why any of the MCs would fall for her let alone the insta-attract that happens here.
The story also has a few inconsistencies/plot holes which are jarring such as a reference to first years going on the trek against the Autumn court when only Norah was permitted to go; one minute she struggles to shadow for a couple of minutes and the next she seems able to do so for hours; or she shifts once and then becomes an expert. Norah can shadow and shift yet when she’s caught shadowing instead of just shifting to escape she just surrenders. The FC just comes across as stupid. Why would she just walk in alone to a stronghold already taken over with no plan and no back up? How did she not pick up on Summer’s plan of misinformation which was so obvious? Then there’s Norah whining about not being good enough and able to fight Viola (despite having all these amazing powers) and has given up but Viola then says she’s going to take her mates as her own - how, through rape? - and apparently Norah is suddenly able to fight back - seriously 😒!
Whilst there is a lot of detail in the first 20% of Book 1 there are then gaps in the story and other elements are sped through. For example, the relationship between Norah and her 4 instructors just happens. One minute they are strangers and the next she is talking about them as her mates and they are being all attentive and protective of her. No one questions why they are so focussed on her. There is no development of relationships, no world building nor background development to flesh out the characters. It‘s all very superficial and there seems to be no real consideration or discussion about Nora having multiple mates or her explaining that she has just slept with/gotten off with one MC before doing the same with another MC. She goes from virgin to multiple bed partners and sexually pushy at the drop of a hat 🙄 In addition, Marin was supposed to be incredibly powerful and you never find out how Viola managed to assassinate not only her but her mates as well and everyone appears to have just accepted it and taken no action against Viola. It‘s a bit strange that no one seemed to question what Viola did all those years ago and let‘s her get away with it.
You do not see Norah grow into her heritage. Having shown absolutely no ability or depth of character she‘s suddenly a Greater Fae despite her constant „woe is me I‘m not good enough“ whining and she‘s suddenly acting like a saviour of the Fae. Her powers just suddenly appear, there‘s no evolution she can just master all these significant abilities at the drop of a hat. It‘s all a bit ridiculous especially where it seems that only Norah alone can save everyone 🙄
Ultimately I found the story slow and disappointing with little to engage.

This is the last book about Norah and her men, the series continues with other characters in the Dark Fae Academy.
World building was good, we mostly went to known haunts, but still all scenes and environments were well described and detailed enough.
Character development in this one was about average :( Norah was practicing and figuring out her powers yes, but there was no feeling of growth from her or her relationship with her men.
Pacing and flow were good, though at the end it is my honest opinion things were way too rushed :( leaving me with an unfulfilled feeling. There has been no explanation for a connection between the earthquakes and the dark fae (why would they cause earthquakes?), nor any explanation about the plans going forward. The showdown that the book was building towards was half a page and that was it.
The book in itself was well written with no (noticeable) errors. And yes, like in last book, there is sex described. As in the last book more YA oriented, not many details, no smut, we know they had sex and that's all folks. Which of course isn't bad, but just don't go out expecting a scene with for example more then one partner or details, any details...
All in all I'm glad I've finished it, will probably read the Dark Fae Academy too (since I already have the first book), but I'm yeah, disappointed.
This is the concluding title in this trilogy, but there will be another set of books after this series starring Bree. I do really enjoy this author’s writing, and this book was no exception. The characters are fun, the plot interesting, and the world well setup. We get to see Norah get closer to her men, and she learns more about her family. One thing to warn readers about is that one of the main plotlines didn’t really wrap up in this trilogy. In fact, it seemed Bree had a solution, but she was interrupted before she could tell anyone. I hope this plotline will be resolved in the next trilogy, which I am looking forward to. In addition, there did seem to be a little more plot left to tell in regards to her men, and while I did enjoy this last installment, I would have liked to have seen at least another book. However, I did really enjoy this book and was completely invested in the storyline, and it was very well-written. I’m just hoping we get to see more in the follow-up trilogy. Recommend!
LOVELYI!! NOW GIVE ME MORE OF THIS, S What I liked: MANN...this was something new.. all the things In this book was new for me. I loveeeeeeddddd it... I loved the fact that there was spice but very, very, very little unlike some romantacy books.I loved all the characters, I loved how the connection between Norah and her harems were shown perfectly. Inshort I liked it too much. What I didn't like: It was tooo zhort. there was no depth in this story, like nothing. maybe things could've been more touching, deep and maybe a little tragedy here and there would've made the story more interesting, the endings of the villiana were not what I expected, I wanted it to be more intense and brutal. And the connection between Norah and her harems could've been explained more.I feel like they all didn't get much time in this book. maybe more soft romance scenes like hugs, cuddles, pecks stuff like that could've made the story more interesting. anyways I loved it
The story continues with Norah figuring out how to use her powers and finding the will to rule. This installment further introduces the desperate plot of the Dark Fae and pushes Norah to claim her destiny. Norah’s relationship with her mates further solidifies as they travel the Otherworld in search of answers and allies. I’m still loving the fast pace writing that pushes the story along, especially because it means we get to experience more of the Otherworld and it’s cultures and societies. I think the next few books are from Bree’s perspective in the Underworld, so we’ll take a break for now on Norah. Although, I’m hesitant to switch up the narrative, let’s see where we go from here!
Well that kinda sucked. The book just kinda, ended. I was hoping she'd use some of the starlight she found to start growing more. Or maybe the room she found was full of the plant so she could go on to save all the redcaps. Kinda like a parting gift from Marin explaining that the magic needed to mature and would only be ready when Norah returned to the otherworld. I felt like Liam was kinda put on the sidelines. It's all well and good having an epilogue where they , but we haven't even seen her and Liam, or her and Kael do the deed. It kinda felt flat to me and felt like I truly wasted my time.
The 3rd installment of this series is a sad, sad ending to an otherwise good RH trilogy. Sad as in rushed and obviously pushed aside for the authors new series. It feels like the book jumps from one scene to the end with cliche filler in between. The first 2 installments had vivid, well crafted characters with meaningful interactions. Not so in Starlight. The characters seem to lose their development even.
It just seems like their should have been a hell of a lot more things explained and explored. Sad to see the series dumped by its author.
This entire series is full of heartache and full of love with new beginnings. I just wish there was more of a battle scene than there was. Everything seemed to lead to something big. Something HUGE. Then it kind of fell a little short. STILL I really enjoyed reading about Norah and everyone. She is a very strong character that came a long way and dealt with a lot in such a short period of time. You will lose yourself and get sucked in the Otherworld with all its state and beauty.
I am so dissapointed to the end of the series it was rushed and slap dash put together no real ending just he must die, die, take over, things need to change Idk how but they will die without another choice. Just thinking about what I just read is annoying me more soo much potential become a great book but fell well short I would have happily waited longer for a better book
This series was kinda boring, way too predictable.
Not a lot actually happened in this book. She wasn’t sure she wanted to rule even though she was the rightful heir, then she did want to but realized she never took the time to learn anything about the other world.
The big showdown just like in book 2 was a let down, the only good thing was her best friend going with the dark Fae. She always wanted to get out from her shadow and now she can maybe find a mate in their prince.
Great series. Wolfhart is an amazing storyteller. For the series, plot, characters, storytelling 5 stars definitely. Two stars for the RH part. The story is the main part but a Rh should actually be that. How is that possible when the MC is only with two of them out of entire series. There was many places to insert those situations.
What to say this book was amazing im sad to say good bye Norah amd her mates. Norah still continue to grown and learn her new powers she always sticks to her gut feelings she is such a strong heroine which makes this story even better if you read the first 2 books then you need to read this one.
I am a huge fan of this author and I’ve enjoyed every series she has written. I thought she did a great job of wrapping up all of the loose ends in this series and I felt like everything came to a satisfying conclusion. It’s not the end of this world and I look forward to the spin off.
An abrupt ending that left quite a few things unresolved, even though this was supposed to be the conclusion to the trilogy. A blatant setup for another series which feels like bait and switch. Rude amd disrespectful to her readers, I won't read this author's work again.
I feel like the last book was rushed. Suddenly, you find out who your biological Mother is/was yet you really don't spend much time finding out more about her.
One minute there's an all out battle, the next you're wearing white, in love with 4 guys and then you decide to grab a crown and sit on the throne??
I enjoyed the books but.. Finish the story or why bother writing?

I read this trilogy one after another. Kept me on my toes. The only thing missing was the intimacy with the harem. Lots of sexual tension that doesn’t eventuate. The story was good though. I know this books sets up Bree’s story, but the introduction of the Dark Fae felt a bit light on too. Again, lots of build up that goes no where.
