On the back cover the date of the launch is wrongly stated as August 12, 1981. The Columbia was launched on April 12, 1981. A small mistake.

This book is about the first launch of the Columbia space shuttle and the things leading up to it. The Title is Columbia: The First Flight of the Space Shuttle by Michael D. Cole. The genre and setting is nonfiction and the launc of the space shuttle in the late 1900's. The two piolts are John Young and Robet Crippen. This book talks about from the idea of the space shuttle all the to touch down. The reason why I gave this book 5 stars is because it talks not only about the takeoff and touch down, but because it describes the idea and work leading up to it. I think this book deserves 5 stars.
