Excellent poetry book dealing with many emotions and subjects, Anangsha has crafted a piece of work using different styles, different lengths and incorporating some illustrations. There is an obvious skill and passion for poetry on display and she is not afraid to be open and honest as well as fantastical and imaginative. Best absorbed over a week or so as there is a lot to take in, highly recommended for lovers of art and poetry!

This book is great.
Writing poems in different forms is not everyone's cup of tea, it requires lot of hard work and talent and this is what Anagsha Alamyan has within her . This book tells us how wonderful poet she is. It covers different topics like passion, emotion, love, heartbreak, etc.
I'm sharing one poem from this book, It's a Haiku :

AGAIN

Forgotten wishes
Get resurrected at night
Your thoughts stir awake.

A collection of passionate poems

A cornucopia of emotions, displayed in a delicate manner. Not only does the poetess share her work but also educates the readers on the genres of poems written. A fun book for all.

I once read that a good book is figured by its ability to hook its target reader from the very first page. I am always on a lookout for such books. Little did I know this one would do just that.

5 pages down and I didn’t feel like listening to the ongoing lecture. I was so into the moment of feeling something special as what was going before my eyes that I felt wonderful about myself. Magic-1. To be able to do that to your audience.

Once I flipped the pages to 30 and saw that this girl had really put in so much effort to work on different forms of poetry(which I have absolutely no clue about, save a few), I couldn’t help but admire the number of years and sheer effort coupled with her creative genius to come up with those short, eloquent proses. Magic-2. Capture your audience in awe of what you’ve done.

Once I got going at night, I didn’t stop before I reached the end cover.

There were moments when I had goosebumps. Trust me, I wouldn’t say this just for the sake of it. I literally did. Parts where she relates to experiences related to love and its various forms-damn! I read the lines only to say this word so many times!!! Because I just felt as if I had been feeling this for so long and there it is! There it is-in the form I always thought was never possible-in words. Magic-3. Connecting with your audience like never before.

By the time I got done with this, there were a few moments when I smiled. Smiled at how someone else in the world feels the same. I’m not alone. And how this feeling of mine is so great in itself that it deserves a mention by the author. There were also times when I felt a sudden thud in my heart just like I used to when something went wrong with the one I loved. Just imagine mere words doing that to you. Now imagine the power those “mere words” possess. That’s given to them by her. Magic-4.

And there were some lines so smartly written that they make you feel numb.

The book, as a whole, consists of a person like you and I, expressing herself, her raw emotions in the form of something she loves the most-poems. It’s light to read-something which is the need of the hour given the busy-ness of people today. It’s something that will make you feel good about yourself, and probably take you into a nostalgic ride.

With the author coming from my alma mater, I wholeheartedly salute her spirit to have come up with something that only she could. I have followed her since 2014 here on Quora so the expectations were naturally high. And she didn’t disappoint. I wish you keep writing.

Soothing book even to those who don't enjoy poems much.

Just like some fruits are more relishing towards its core ,I loved the middle and end portions very much. Anybody can easily relate with these shades and colors of love in her poems bcoz all of us have gone through many of these emotions. Love is magical, even if it breaks you it can make you again, and all these aspects are portrayed in a very lovely way.Technical explanations on different forms I just skipped bcoz I felt it a bit complicated.

STOLEN REFLECTION
Author: @anangsha
Publication: Notion Press
Genre: Poetry.

Frankly speaking, I seldom read poetry but when it comes to Anangsha's book I can’t resist myself from reading her books.
Now a question may arise why do I say so?
To answer this, let me tell you guys a fun fact - I already read her second book -' What did Tashi do? ’ last year and it was undoubtedly a jaw dropping read for me.
Now talking about this book, stolen reflection is Anangsha’s first book is poetry collection that contains the bits and pieces of reflections of the world around, with every shard picked up from a different person, a unique point of view.
The vocabulary used in this book is sophisticated and not just this, it also reflects the beautiful, albeit broken, perfect, though flawed lives of people around us with whom you’ve crossed paths, intentionally or otherwise. After reading this book, I must accept the fact that I am totally in love with her way of writing.
The reason why I like reading poetry sometimes is that they are very meaningful, rhymic and not at all time consuming. I could complete this book in one sitting.
Each and every poem in this book touched me deeply but which I loved the most are: words, Broken wing, wandering, letting go, chained, fire and ice, an old photograph.
Here are few lines that I wanted to share from the book:
Alone and lost was I
Wandering through life’s barren lands
And then you came – my oh my,
Tugging deep at my heart’s strands.

Wandering through life’s barren lands
Together, you and I,
Tugging deep at my heart’s strands,
Your magic took me high.

Together, you and I,
Pain only did make us stronger
Your magic took me high,
A difficult world – ‘twas no longer.

Pain only did make us stronger
And then you came, my oh my
A difficult world ‘twas – no longer
Alone and lost was I.

If you a person who loves to read poems then, I will recommend you to read this book.
Also, if you are more into fiction and if you haven’t read her second book ‘What did Tashi do?’ yet, then scroll down my feed, read the review .
Now if both my review intrigues you, give both her books your valuable time. You won’t be disappointed👍.

The poems in the book are so relatable, so good. I finished the book in one sitting - they had me hooked from start to finish.
The raw vulnerability in the author's debut project shines through and speaks out to the romantic in you.
Would definitely recommend for all bookworms - whether or not they are fans of poetry.

Amazing book full of amazing poems. This is only the second poetry book I've read, and it's really good. Made me feel things (which is rare), and made me visualize (which is also rare). I never knew there were so many types of poetry, and the effort that has gone into writing them is astounding. There are a few poems in particular that I really admire. Do check out this book. Highly recommend it.

This is a sensation book, on par with the works of Pablo Neruda. I personally feel that the author deserves a much larger audience for her works.
Only if you go through the poems you get to see the amount of dedication and genius that went into the poems.

Each poem telling you a different story, making you experience a plethora of emotions.

Absolutely in love with the book.

As the title suggests STOLEN REFLECTIONS ,I MUST SAY YES IT IS.

Excellent, soothing poetry book dealing with many facets of emotions.
I loved the middle and end portions very much. As it seems to me that many of us have already gone through these levels of emotions in one or the other parts of our life. And not to deny the fact that love has been such an exilir of our life which can break us apart and rejoin us to the different chapter of our life.
I also liked the different types of poetric styles explored in this collection, like ballad cinquain etc. This collection has a beautiful poems on love, lust and loss. Poetry sounds interesting to read when it provides the ample stock of knowledge about the different kinds of poetry, as you keep turning the pages. Here are some of my favourite which I think everyone must go through.

Haiku - Bitter
Lanturne - Deception
Limerick - Dreamless
Pantoum - Wandering
Tanka - Ardour
The Same Story
You Love to Watch Me Helpless, Don't You?
The Love I Couldn't Return
Irrevocable
Together
Stardust
Is This a Mistake?
Congratulations to the author for bringing up this soulful collection.

There are two reasons why this book stands out for me:

First is that she has written poems in many different forms, ballad and cinquain being my favorite.

Second is that her poems are so simple and feminine. The femininity in some of her poems is so beautiful to read and imagine, especially since sometimes I relate to the outright opposite of those emotions.

All the poems in the "Escape" chapter are out of this world. The poem "Mountains" has the following stanza, "Pebbles roll down, struck by your shoes. I halt caressing on my knees that bruise" and it is amazingly deep in the context of the poem.

The amazing thing about the book, "The Great Gatsby" that makes it so great is that, as a reader you feel like you are in the room where everything is happening, connected to everything emotionally....Stolen Reflections also managed to pull that off sometimes and that is extraordinary.

Awaiting the next book by the writer.

It is a great pleasure that I get to review the book of my dear friend, its not everyday that one can claim to know the author of a good book. I knew she would be like fish in water when it comes to elegant writing,I knew it the moment I read one of her first blog posts. Poetry is when an emotion has found its thought and the thought has found words Robert Frost once said. And the saying holds true in every poem in the book. One can feel the various emotions the brilliant poet pours into each work. For a poem ameture such as myself the poetry in form walks through what each form is and additionally provides the best possible way to utilize that form. It is a book that I would recommend for any budding writer. Very few can draw from a whole spectrum of emotions of the reader and that makes this collection of poems filled with a poem for every mood. Can't wait for the next book and wish the author all the success that she so clearly deserves.

Poetry is the rhythmical creation of beauty in words. Anyone who knows Anangsha Alammyan on Quora clearly knows the depth of her words. I am a huge silent admirer of her poetry for more than 3 years now. Her poetry debut book - Stolen Reflections is a stimulating collection of poems ranging from love to loss, emotions to escape, heartbreak to heartwarming. She retrieved intricate styles of poetry under one roof with lenient writing you cannot help but applaud. I absolutely loved the collection but the "Escape" section stole my heart. Every piece is so refreshing and profoundly relatable. If you seek to be moved and let your imagination reborn, do yourself a favor by grabbing this book.

Looking forward to reading more of her work.

A well written book. The clarity of expression directly leaves its mark into the reader’s deeper insights. Further the variety/types of poems covered well depicts the in-depth knowledge of the author. This book rightly justifies the title of GOOD READs.
A book to be gifted, read and re-read, not just for bliss, but for introspection.
A book to be carried with to places and enjoyed in serenity.

I Love every part of this book, alot of people dont understand the symbolism or a mirror even though we see it everyday. The poet brings different styles of poetry that sends you on adventure of love, passion, downside of love as well as the plus side of it to. Looking into a mirror and truly knowing ones self not only on the outside but on the inside as well. This book is a great read for poets giving you different styles of poetry that I myself have forgotten about and some didn't even know of, but explained in a way I wish my English teachers would have explained it. I will be reading again because it's not boring but fun and so creative giving you a peak of the others imagination and her views of love.

I don't usually read poems, but a friend of mine had praised this book so much, that I decided on buying it. And it wasn't a wrong decision at all. When I started reading, I couldn't put the book down, and ended up finishing it in one night. The poems are beautiful and carefully put together in a sequence that spells out a heart rending story. I would recommend it to all readers out there.

This is a beautiful read with poems covering a pool of human emotions. My favorite was love, grief, and the author's eulogy to her grandmother.

For instance, have you ever loved two people at once- one, who is yours and the other that never was?

I highlighted a lot many beautiful sentences like these to revisit.

Please pick your copy if you still haven't.
