"Once upon a time..."
...my best childhood nights had started with this wonderful phrase!

Ever since I can remember, I loved a good story!

All started thanks to my beloved grandfather! He used to read to my sister and me, stories of mighty princes and horrifying dragons! Even now, sometimes I miss those cold winters in front of the fireplace in my hometown, Texas!

My best stories though were the ones from the Bible! Such is the spiritual connection that a cozy warm pass through my body every time I hear a biblical story!

My childhood memories were not all roses, but I always knew that the strongest shelter would be always there for me! It was Him!

Years passed by, and little-Chloe grown up reading all kind of stories! It was no surprise that I had this urge to write my own stories, and share them with the word!

If I have a God's purpose on Earth, I think it is to spread His love and wisdom, through my stories!

This was a delightful little novel!

Well, it's not exactly a short novel, but it was so sweet, cute, and funny, but also so mysterious with betrayals and secrets that it was a delightful ride to be on!

Although this is a stand alone novel and it can be read alone, however the characters of all three novels overlap and mentions of previous stories are mentioned
For example, Maria, the strange maid and cook for works for Nate, we finally get a story of why she acts the ways she does and who she really is.

The sorry begins with Maria's younger sister, Rosa, dying in her bed. She then has to care for Rosa's 18 year old daughter, Esmeralda.
But Maria knows that wherever she goes, men will try to get Esmeralda because of her beauty. She vows to protect her from all men who she not approves of. Especially one man, Will Parker

From the previous books, Will Parker was an orphan boy who used to work on the ranch when Nate's uncle was alive, but an attack forced him to hide in the tunnels under the house. No one knows they exist, except Maria.
Which is why he stays away from her as much as she can, but when Maria returns home with a Mexican beauty, he has to make a move on her before anyone gets to her first
And since, she doesn't speak English, and his Spanish is still rusty, he shows her that he likes her
Through surprises kisses

Esmeralda is grateful that her aunt took her in, but she is afraid of her because of the family whispers that are said about her past.
But what she is really concerned and mad about is Will Parker, a boy who keeps giving her sneaking kisses no matter how much she pushes and hits him
But for these two, this will be the beginning of a beautiful relationship, or will people stand in their way?

With so many secrets being held, this story was non stop interesting from start to finish, the romance, the past history, the tunnels, the motives, it all gets you on your feet and flipping through the pages so fast you just can't stop!

Delightful and amazing read, cannot wait to read more!

Received a copy from the author herself, for an honest review, thank you!

This is the first book by Chloe Carley that I have read and it didn't disappoint. It was definitely a page-turner with lots of action and suspense. The author's writing style and vivid descriptions made the story come alive for me. The characters were well-developed and my favorite was Esmeralda.
She was a young, nieve girl who was at the mercy of an aunt who had a horrid past. I found myself sympathizing with her and also the young man, Will, who decided he had feelings for her even though they had a language barrier.

Within the storyline, there was a presence of God which made the story have more meaning for me. Once I started reading, I couldn't put it down. I had to know what happened in the end.

I'm looking forward to reading more of her work and highly recommend this book.

I really didn't care for it. I didn't like the hero and the heroine was excessively timid. It was just sad, and gruesome. I feel like my time could have been better spent.

STORYLINE:

After her mother's death, Esmeralda DeSantos travels with her Aunt Maria to the Circle T Ranch where she works as the cook. She has heard gossip and rumors from her family about Aunt Maria all her life. Is she really a lawless woman to fear as her family suggested? Speaking only Spanish, frightened of her auntie and the new life she will find at the end of her journey, Esmeralda follows her aunt to the Circle T Ranch. There she finds eye-catching Will Parker along with a host of ranch hands vying for her attention.

However, danger is just around the corner, how will she handle the coming storm. Will she find Will Parker is her savior? Will her faith sustain her? Is her Aunt really someone to fear? My romance book reviews follow.

CHARACTERS, PLOTTING, DEVELOPMENT:

Chloe Carley's continuing saga of the Circle T Ranch is a standalone read. It is not necessary to have read the earlier books to enjoy this tale. However, they are all fantastic with continuing characters and developing storylines which intermingle. I love this type of continuing series. I feel I have come to know to know each one of Chloe Carley's characters and have become involved in their lives. Her character development is skillful, and each is full-bodied and believable. Her portrayal of the male species, when confronted with a beautiful woman, is "spot on."

Growing from a foul-mouthed orphan working the stables to a wild, reckless ranch hand, Will is a force to be reckoned. Jem despairs of Will ever-growing up. While Aunt Maria is much more than she appears; she has shown the world another face for fifteen years. I found Liam a precocious three-year-old who stole my heart. While the lengths Will is willing to go to win Esmeralda, I found heartwarming and wonderful.

MY OPINION:

This tale is filled with secrets, mystery, faith, and of course, romance. With multiple plot lines, an intriguing cast of characters, and the character's faith in God, I found myself racing to the action-filled finale. Will grows and develops throughout this tale, and his growth is incredible to witness. While the revelations revealed about Maria are surprising, fearful, and disappointing. I knew she was a little different, however, Chloe Carley outdid herself with the development of Maria's gruesome character. A Cowboy To Save Esmeralda is a clean well-written western I would not hesitate to buy for myself or a friend.

A COWBOY TO SAVE ESMERALDA RECOMMENDATION: STARS 4

AN ABSOLUTE JOY TO READ!!!
Ok guys are you ready? Cause if you're not we'll leave you behind. Silly. We can't leave you, you control what you see. I have to say that from the first page I was hooked. I couldn't have put it down had I any intention to do so. I'm not kidding this bad boy gets under your skin. I was so engrossed in this tale my house could have caught fire and I'd never have noticed. Chloe has a style all her own and she wields it as intricately as you would a bolt of silk. She drew me into the world she created and I was absolutely spellbound. The characters and scenes were realistic with vivid descriptions that bring you right to the center and your held there waiting to see what was going to happen next. It has the full range of emotions that will keep your attention on the pages and on the edge of your seat. The scenes with their graphic details really brought this tale to life right before my eyes. I fell in love with the characters. Well, maybe not all. I laughed so hard when a cowboy tries to let the main character know that he has feelings for her. It was hilarious to say the least. If you're looking for that adrenaline rush, action packed, pulse racing, heart pounding, smooth flowing read that captivates you until the last page. Yep! Its right here. All the twists, turns and unpredictable surprises that just kept coming held your focus like a steel vice. Following the characters along as their personalities began to transform and shine through. The wit and charm were on full display. The main character was a joy whether dealing with to many admirers to her crazy aunt. Yep! Crazy aunt. You get more excitement then any sane person could handle. Good thing I'm not sane. Chloe left some pieces of herself woven throughout the tale you could feel her joy and determination to make a great work of art that we, as her readers can enjoy. She has a unique style that she brings full force as this tale unfolds. Chloe did an amazing job bringing this read together beautifully and with her heart. Remarkable job Chloe and thank you for sharing this fantastic read with us.

A Cowboy to Save Esmeralda : A Christian Historical Romance Novel is a wonderful book. Esmeralda is one of the main characters. She loses her Mother in the beginning of the story. Her mother had an aunt who was supposed to care for her when her mother died. Rosa is the Mother. She and her aunt are so different. Her Aunt Maria takes her by train to Colorado to work with her for a family on a ranch. Esmeralda is a Catholic with high moral standards. The conflicts arise when she realizes her lifestyle is very different from her aunt's . She continues to work for the family which is the Trowbridges with Maria. How does she balance her needs to follow her Christian values and also work for Maria? How does she accept or refuse Will the cowboy's offers of affection? Who is reborn and does that mean in a Christian way? The story leads to suspence and makes the reader wonder what is next when the youngest son of the Trowbridges is captured and what is next ? Will He survive? The author describes the characters and scenes very carefully. The reader can picture what is happening in the story. The reader can feel for Esmeralda being stuck with a aunt who really does not value human life or care about others. Esmeralda does not have any other family member there with her. Esmeralda leans on God and moves forward in her life amidst all the conflicts. I was given an E copy of this book for review only purposes by the author.

I enjoyed this book very much. It was a little bit longer book than her others. It had lots of twists and turns. I kept hoping that Maria would finally see the light; but I feared that she wouldn't and though there was a flicker of hope. It was just not to be. She was just to far gone. All of the characters in the book were important to the story. Since Esmeralda's name is part of the book I would say that she is the main character along with Will the cowboy that saves her; but all the other characters in this book are just as important to the story. And did Will really save Esmeralda? I am not sure that Esmeralda needed saving. It seems that Will is the one that in the end gets saved.
I would say Maria is the main character here. As I read about Maria, I thought about the song, "And, When I Die" by Blood, Sweat, and Tears. There is a line in the song that says, "I can swear there ain't no Heaven, But I pray there ain't no hell" that I kept thinking of as I read about Maria. This is a stand alone Novel; but if you read the previous Novels that Chloe Carley then more depth is added to this novel. You get to know more about the Trowbridges and most of all you learn about more about Will and what brought him to this point. There is also mention of Maria too in the other books. Excellent Book.

Another hit book by Chloe Carley. This is part of a series but you can read it as a stand alone. You will meet characters from the previous books but enough background is given so you won't be lost. Will was a young boy in the previous books but he's grown into a rambunctious young man. Trouble seems to be his middle name. Then Esmeralda comes to the ranch (where he works) with her aunt. All the single cowboys start leaving gifts everywhere for her. Will becomes the Kissing Bandit. Rumors about Esmeralda's Aunt Maria abound. Hidden caves, bandits, murder, treachery, kidnapping and romance.

My interest was caught right away and the book kept me turning pages. I recently found this author through another author's recommendation. I'm so glad I did. She writes a good clean historical romance with humor and suspense thrown in.

I received this book from the author with no expectations. All opinions are my own and I found this book to be entertaining, characters that you will love, even the bad guys have a few redeeming qualities. I highly recommend this book to anyone that loves western romance with plenty of action and a touch of humor.

Lots of drama....

I received my copy free for review. This was a good read. I liked being able to see what's going on with characters from previous books. It was a little darker story as Maria's background came more & more to light and began to impact every one at the Circle T. While I enjoyed the overall story, I guess I was hoping for a more repentive outcome for Maria. Also, I felt it finished abruptly on the main chatacters future. Esmeralda and Will may have had more closure in the Epilogue Bonus, which is separate from the main book & I haven't read, but the closing of this book could have been smoother and more specific. Even if just implied a little more clearly. A lot of maybes and ifs about Esmeralda's and Will's future but no definite plans made when this book actually ends. While a bonus chapter is a nice thought...I feel it should be like an after dinner mint. Complement the meal. The book should be able to stand from beginning to end on it's own, especially if the reader doesnt get to see the bonus epilogue. Otherwise...4 Stars :-D

I have really enjoyed reading A Cowboy to Save Esmeralda by Chloe Carley. Ms. Carley does a wonderful job bringing the characters together and bringing us our HEA.

Will Parker has lived on the Circle T ranch since he was a young boy. He falls in love with Esmeralda, the cooks niece, come to live with her after Esmeralda's mother dies.

Esmeralda is all a alone in the world. Her mother just passed away and now she has to rely on her aunt Maria who has deep dark secrets that frighten Esmeralda. I don't want to say more to give the story away.

This book has secrets, confessionals, murder, secret passages and tunnels, precocious toddler, love, language barriers, and much more. I highly recommend this book. I hope there is more to the series.

I received an ARC and am voluntarily reviewing the book.

This one is a nail biter....

Remember Will from the first two stories??? Well if you haven't read them, you need to. And do you remember Maria, the cook from the first two stories?? Ditto, if you haven't read those two books. Will is all grown up but he's still the same rough around the edges smartmouthed roughneck as ever. And Maria??? Whoooie!! Has she got a story! One good thing she does have is a beautiful, sweet niece that has lost her mother and with nowhere else for her to go, Maria brings her home with her...grudgingly. it was a deathbed promise to her dying sister. With his eyes firmly set on Esmerelda, Will might just turn out alright. But they have a whole lot of Maria's trouble to get through first!

This is the third book in the Colorado Reborn series. It's been ten years since Nate took over the ranch in Colorado. Here we meet the cook Maria's niece. Will Parker, the boy who save the horses during the wildfire in book two, is our hero. Esmeralda comes to live with her Aunt Maria on the ranch after her mother dies. We learn in this book exactly who Maria is and her past has come calling. The characters in this book are just as deep and compelling as the other two books. Chloe Carley knows how to tell a story. This book can standalone, but if you have read the other two. The characters, the ranch and the town Indian Rock becomes more vivid and I had a deeper connection to their world.

Not Just a Romance

Things are not always what they seem to be. Mr. Nate thrownnbridge didn't realize there was a labyrinth of tunnels. Nor was Maria just an elderly cook for his family.

There was tension and lots action in this "romantic" novel.

There was crude language, which might be offensive to some, but it was from cowboys. There was also quite a bit of drinking, talk of brothels, and some violence.

Those afraid of Christian novels would have to worry about this one. Other than several crossings and mention of prayer, there was not much Christianity nor mention of God until the epilogue.

This, third book of the series, was my favorite.

Long awaited sequel - this is the fourth book in the Colorado Reborn series. This is Will’s story. It’s nice to see Will, who is such an untamed, rough & tumble character - always getting into fights - become turned around all because of a girl. Esmeralda is an interesting character. She is conflicted between what she knows is right & family loyalty & of course the “beso bandito” makes life even more interesting for her!
This was a rather thrilling story. A bit darker than the previous ones, but with a happy ending & clean content. It was nice to be able to catch up with all the old characters & to have a few questions/theories answered/confirmed ;) It can be read as a standalone but I don’t recommend doing so if you can help it! Much better to read them in order.

I received my copy free in exchange for an honest review.

Wonderful story. Will is such a wild character that he makes you love him, in spite of his flaws. Esmeralda is so shy and sheltered that his wooing takes her by surprise. But when danger threatens the ranch, can Will protect Esmeralda? What secrets does Esmeralda’s aunt Maria keep from everyone? I loved the suspense and intrigue in this story and enjoyed the characters journey of romance. I look forward to reading more in the future.

Engrossing Tale of the Old West
This is the best story! It is old west action, adventure, banditos, romance and murder. It is well written with rich detail. It is believable in its entirety. There is a 5 chapter extended epilogue to obtain, for free, from the author. It is well worth the effort to read. Perhaps this extended epilogue will become part of the book, as it ties up many loose ends quite nicely. I will be reading more of this author's work. I received this book for free and voluntarily chose to post my honest review.

It’s always nice to find a new author that writes Christian fiction. I have now read all of this authors books and can’t wait to see what she will write next. Would differently recommend. Esmeralda story ; she comes to live with her aunt at the Circle T ranch after the death of her mother. The “loco” Will, do to a language barrier Will tries to make Esmeralda understand how he fells about her. Danger at every turn keeps you reading...could not put it down.

Titles can be read as stand alone; they all take place at the Circle T ranch.

Great read

I received a free copy of this book from the author for my honest review. I enjoyed this book with all the twists and turns. There is love of family, the mystery of a Mexican gang terrorizing the Denver area during the Old West days, and romance. This all kept me on the edge of my seat and I loved the ending. I liked the way the author lets God work throughout the story. I know you will enjoy this book as much as I did.

I purchased A Cowboy to Save Esmeralda: A Colorado Reborn book 4 by Chloe Carley and this review was given freely.
As Will tries to romance Esmeralda, the darker side of her Aunt Maria and the tunnels under the ranch are revealed and the sanctity of secrets told in the Catholic confessional booth are questioned. Simply written, this is a complex and action packed novel with promise.

Moving to the ranch

Esmeralda lost her mother and went to live with her aunt Maria. Esmeralda is torn between loyalty to her Aunt and wanting to tell her employer what she knows. She just wanted a new life and maybe boyfriend. Loved finding characters from previous stories but no problem following even if not familiar with earlier stories.

Wow - what an action packed, suspenseful, Christian themed, romance! Yes, readers, this book has it all. I do not believe in plot summaries. Just know that this is an extremely well written book with finely tuned characters. The plot has many twists and will keep you reading late into the night. I thoroughly enjoyed this book.

A really nice and interesting story and I liked it alot. The characters are very engaging, endearing and very believable...even the evil aunt. I especially like the honest and respectful budding romance between the two teenagers without gratuitous sex. A very good book and highly recommended to young and old alike.

The author is an excellent writer, but as another reviewer said, the faith element is very weak. I’ve read the entire series and there are a few Bible verses and prayers thrown in, but they seem like an afterthought - disappointing. Each book in this series has a couple of scenes that are very dark spiritually. Not books I’d feel comfortable recommending to anyone else.

Wow

I have enjoyed this series so far. Lots of adventure and action. Interesting characters. I was interested to read of Maria who seemed an enigma in the previous books. The 'truth' was way more than expected. An action packed read! With a good ending.
