This book has actionable information on how to start a bullet journal.
I gathered all the information that helped me get started and keep doing it to this day.
So, I sincerely believe that it will be of use to you too.

To achieve your goals, you need to have a clear vision. The vision also needs to be in front of you every day. How can you achieve this? How can you make sure that your big vision is top-of-mind every day? The answer is simple: you need a planner that can help you document and visualize your goals.
The current planner market has all manner of different planners, as many as you can think of. However, none of them matches what this book is going to introduce you to today, the BULLET JOURNAL.
The bullet journal system is special and very much unlike any other form of note-taking or journaling you have ever seen because on top of helping you organize your day, it also stores your random schedules, thoughts, To-dos and ideas, which ultimately, frees your brain space.
This in itself gives your brain a chance to focus on what it is good at, being creative and analyzing thoughts. That automatically makes your life more structured and organized.
Bullet journaling develops your structural thinking and allows you to divide your great goal into small tactical steps so that every day, you know what to do to get closer to your great aim. For example, if you want to land a consulting job, bullet journaling will help you to come up with the specific steps that you need to follow. An example of this instance would appear as follows:
• Mo 1 (Monday week 1), 10:00-13:00 – Conduct research on the entry requirements • Tue 1, 08:00-12:00 – Find 3 people on LinkedIn who already work there • Wed 1, 17:00-18:00 – Ask them out for coffee • Thu 1, 15:00-16:00 – Prepare 10 questions • Fri 1, 10:00-13:00 – Solve 3 business cases
Of course, you can stick to this generic design but I will teach you how to make it better…

For new this was better than other bujo books i have read due to the clear design and the pictures to give assistance in starting out. Definitely will go through this again when setting my journal up.
The entire book feels like a quick article that helps you get started with bullet journal. Even though it feels quick there is a lot of information which you might or might not feel useful. Again, that might be the reason the author says “at least try to skim thru the book before coming to a conclusion and start implementing the process”.
It’s a well spent time reading this book to understand or refresh your bullet journaling basics.
UPDATED: 26/11/18 After rereading a edited edition of this book at the author's request, I have updated my rating to 4 stars. This book is very clear and concise to read and follow along with, though I do love how it is acknowledged that each bullet journaller is different so therefore their end products will be as well. This book is infallible as a starting point or guide for those interested in bullet journalling and while the tone is factual, it is never intimidating. The sheer passion in the section about notebooks definitely makes this chapter a favourite in my eyes, plus it was very informative. The use of images throughout the text also made the project more accessible and was lovely to see, plus it never became intrusive. Overall, a very useful and assertive guide!
This book was a solid 3.5 stars for me and the only reason I haven't rated it higher (yet) is because I have yet to attempt making my own bullet journal- I'm still looking for my "perfect" notebook, even though my house is full of them. In short, I'm a nightmare onto myself, but it means for me that this book has room to grow once I have implemented the advice provided. I was also contacted by the author for any constructive criticism which I thought was a really professional and yet personalised move and so I have decided to respect her wishes and provide some. I think I would have preferred this book if it had the same personalised tone as the request I received. I've read many creative writing guides and the advice that sticks in my mind most is always the author's anecdotes or is clearly written in their own voice. As a practical guide to bullet journalling I can understand why the book is written in such a clear and precise way, but personally I would have preferred more personalisation. This could even be as end-of-chapter footnotes of what went right and what went wrong for the author or something they love about bullet journalling. This is just my personal preference though and it would distinguish it more from other guides. I also wish there had been more step-by-step images to go along with the instructions, because hearing how to do something then just seeing the final product sent me scrambling to youtube just to double check I had the right idea. Overall, this was a short and concise read, but it did feel like an instructional manual at times rather than a guide as is stated in the title. I loved the author's integrity and also her advice that since journalling is very personal, you can follow or change the advice as you see fit, and that is the advice I'm going to use and remember as I create my own bullet journal.
If you do not have a bullet journal this book may hold some help to you. If you have already set up a bullet journal, I am not sure there is much to be gleaned from this book. It is a quick read with some great why and how points.
What a useful book! And it did not feel like a bunch of Pinterest pictures! All pictures are supported with a good explaination so I could follow easily. Did not regret at all I bought it. Having this knowledge I can use my time in a more efficient way. Must-read to people who have problems to organise their day!
I was very sceptical if I should give it a read. There are a lot of books out there, but this one covers a lot of aspects. I especially like the last part cus honestly I tend to put a lot of pressure on myself. It seems like bujo helps... Gonna give it a try!
I am considered a newbie in this dot journalism, I needed ideas, layouts, guidance. This book gave me this and so much more. Made me really think how I wanted to set MY journal up, not just to impress, but to want to do this each and every day.
I got this instead of the official book, to see if I wanted *any* book on bullet journaling, and I wasn’t disappointed. It was well written, clear and succinct. The pictures were helpful as well. It’s not a long read, but it covers the basics well.
Was hoping for some good examples of how to layout a bullet journal, it was mostly abstract ideas of what bullet journaling should be for. Not my favorite.
