I can’t say enough about this book. The author details the history of modern Israel and Zionism from its historical roots stemming from the Jewish exile, through its modern version as a response to European anti Semitism The conflict with Israel’s neighbors and the struggle to establish a democratic Jewish state and make it a haven and home for all Jews including blemishes along the way is detailed clearly
