I know all the secrets come to light before long, but this stage where Kiley refuses to communicate with Momo is kind of annoying and feels more like Toji than Kiley, who up until now has been much more of a forthright character. Using a "seduction" that's more like a sexual assault as a means of distracting Momo from those secrets is even worse.

There's also some good old-fashioned slut shaming along the way, too. (By Momo's girl classmates, not Kiley, to be clear.) I do like how Momo is starting to stand up for herself, even though the situation in the first third of the book where she did fight back, led to yet another time where she ended up being rescued. You have to relax about a number of tropes when it comes melodramatic shoujo manga.

I had no recollection of Morika from my previous reading, but vividly remembered Misao. I don't think it's just because Misao is a quiet, chubby gal among a bunch of over-the-top, pretty, skinny girls.

Momo and Kiley are officially a "thing" now. Momo has embraced Kiley for most of his charms but keeps some of his grabbiness at a minimum. Everything seems to be going ok until Sae convinces Kiley's groupies that Momo is out of line from switching guys too quickly. They decide to teach Momo a lesson and burn her hair. However, Kiley shows up in the nick of time to save his girl. The subplot of the old picture in his pocket is finally getting some air time. Apparently nurse Misao, known around the school as "Big Sister", used to date Kiley's brother and wants to get back with him...but Kiley is not okay with that. Than his ex girlfriend shows up and corners Kiley. Momo finds them and gets upset, throwing her handmade gift at him and fleeing the store.
The drama is back, but I'm just not feeling Kiley with Momo yet, the passion isn't there like it was with Toji. Plus, Kiley still being hung up on his ex shows he's just using Momo...like she's using him. Interesting.

Dude the drama is kind of entertaining the but wtf. I actually liked kiley at the start of the Manga. Then he's like "well she deserves to be raped for having Momo raped"????? and then he's trying to assualt momo to stop masao from going somewhere like what did momo do omg and then it's just treated like a joke like dude wtf
There is one good person in this Manga and it's masao

Moc pěkná kresba, která se s každým volumkem zlepšovala. Jen se mi zdálo, že se někde v polovině změnily boty a trochu školní uniforma. Ale to je jen takový malý detail.

Zajímalo by mě, co měly naznačovat ty kresby na konci každé kapitoly. Momo na nich vypadala jako modelka, díky tomu vkusnému a draze vypadajícímu oblečení. Zprvu jsem si myslela, že to mají být nápovědy o tom, co se bude dít dál, ale vyšlo najevo, že s příběhem nijak nesouvisí. Což ze začátku vůbec nebylo jasná, takže mě to několik volumek hrozně mátlo.

Hlavní hrdinku Momo jsem ze začátku měla poměrně ráda, ale postupně se moje sympatie k ní pomalu mizely. Avšak mizely jen po krátkou dobu a můj vztah k ní byl stále mírně pozitivní. Obdivovala jsem ji za některá z jejich rozhodnutích a za to, jak zvládala nátlak od okolí. Někdy od čtvrtiny příběhu jsem ji najednou nechápala, dokonce jsem se nemohla dobrat k tomu, abych jí odpustila její činy, přestože tam byla zmínka o tom, že jí samotné přijde její chování divné.

Sae jsem nesnášela. Ze začátku to měla podle mě autorka v úmyslu, pak její chování začala omlouvat a my jsme jí měli odpustit. Pořád ale dělala špatné věci, díky kterým jsem ji nesnášela čím dál více. Úplně na konci se sice najednou chovala hrozně hezky, a dokonce pomáhala hlavní hrdince a ostatním. Dokonce i když udělala pár dobrých skutků, tak jsem jí nemohla odpustit, jelikož mi to nepřišlo uvěřitelné, aby se takhle zčistajasna změnila.

Příběh mě stále docela bavil i přesto, že tam byli krávoviny, které mě hrozně štvaly. A nepochopila jsem Momino přecházení od jednoho kluka ke druhému, protože to bylo kvůli prkotinám. Jako když se to stalo poprvé dalo se to poměrně dobře pochopit, ke všemu když to bylo i na delší dobu.

Žádnému z kluků jsem nefandila, neboť mi ani jeden nepřišel sympatický či aspoň dostačující. I když jsem asi měla radši Tojiho, jelikož to byla Momina první láska a zároveň mi to aspoň připadalo trochu opravdové.

Nečekala jsem, že tu budou i nějaké temné věci, které mě přinutí cítit znechucení nad lidstvem ( je ale fakt, že u mě to jde celkem snadno :D). Ale nevím, jestli je to plus či mínus, protože mi to nepřišlo moc uvěřitelné. Stejně jako to počáteční šikanování Momo. Ze začátku jak ji všichni nemají rádi, ale pak se najednou objeví holky, které řeknou, že za vše vždy může Sae, začnou se k ní všichni chovat hrozně mile a k Sae ošklivě. A to při tom od začátku věděli, kdo je k tomu podněcuje.

Obálky se mi nelíbí. Musím ale přiznat, že některé trochu dobře vypadají. Stále nechápu, proč tam Momo vypadá jako modelka. Myslím kvůli tomu oblečení a pózám.

I waited a long month for these volumes to come in at the library because they had to be requested outside of my library system... and after that long wait, I was pretty disappointed with this volume.

Kiley has always been my favorite character in this series, but I really did not like his sudden change of character in this volume. The aggressive, emo Kiley can take a hike.

And sigh... I miss volume 1 Momo who didn't take shit from no one and wasn't afraid to fight back. You'd think after all this time, she'd know better now to stop falling for all the obvious set ups to try to get her to lose her man... and the drama that happened between her and Kiley with his ex was so dumb. I was over it the second she showed up.

But it really is annoying how easily Momo falls for the same ol BS. Get it together Momo!

I hope it gets better and not more obnoxious because I was really into this series

Este tomo no ha hecho más que confirmarme lo que yo ya sospechaba. Aunque Kairi es absolutamente genial, divertidísimo y siempre está ahí para Momo, Toji y Momo tienen algo especial. Me gusta la relación de ellos dos, pero creo que funcionan muchísimo mejor como amigos. Puede que Toji la haya fastidiado, y puede que no siempre tome las mejores decisiones, pero siento que él y Momo tienen una química especial y un sentimiento intenso que en la relación de Kairi y Momo simplemente no veo. Pensé que ellos dos me gustarían juntos como pareja dado que Kairi me resulta un personaje genial, pero ahora mismo...no lo veo.
En fin, aún quedan muchos tomos para que la historia termine, y no se sabe con quién acabará Momo al final, pero por ahora mi balanza se inclina más hacia Toji (¡aunque amo a Kairi con todo mi corazón!)
P.D: Kairi y Misao puede que sea un ship que nunca se haga realidad pero...confieso que ellos dos me gustan juntos jejejeje

I think I'm starting to get over this series. I started it a couple of years ago and had mixed feelings about it. Some moments are really good and empowering while others fell flat and disencouraging. I like Momo and Kairi (or Kiley in this weird English translation), and I was rooting for them in the beginning, but now I've lost interest. I've seen the anime, know how it ends, and the drama just enhances. Now could I come back to this one day and finish it? Maybe. Anything could happen. I don't dislike this series; its just not really for me at this point in my reading.

Volume 9 starts the second arc of the series called Change of Heart in the original English publication. I love this arc so much more because Kiley is my ride or die ship. I love how Momo and Kiley's personalities play off each other and Kiley has a good amount of emotional baggage to boot.

Please be mindful when reading this series as it does use tropes that are problematic in today's context and can have triggering content for sensitive readers.

I really can't with Kairi right now! Momo has been through way too much for these shenanigans. I know that she started dating Kairi partially because she's trying to get over Toji, but Kairi was fully aware of that and wanted to date her anyway. She just wants love and happiness, and that's what she deserves dammit! At this point I'm starting to think Toji might've been a better fit, at least his feelings were 100% genuine, even though he was way too naive.

Story: The perfect thing about this series is that it is a potential real life situation. There is bullying from the other people at school and misunderstandings set into a high school setting. This series is absolutely perfect for someone to read when they are that age and to realize that many people can make mistakes or take something the wrong way, especially in regards to relationships. There is a quite potent love triangle between Momo, a girl that gets bullied by others, Kairi (Kiley), a flirt of a guy, and Toji, a guy that is easily blindsided. It does not help anything that there is the slightly evil character of Sae that is always trying to get in Momo's way.

Drawing Style: One of my favorite things about the art style of Miwa UEDA is that she changes up the characters. Especially Momo, she always wears different clothing and has a different style of hair that is rarely seen in anime or manga.

Characters: The characters are highly in depth and developed throughout the series. They are all multi-dimensional with underlying reasons for how they come across and serious back stories that add to the series.

Overall: This is one of my favorite series by far, exceeding all of my previous expectations and blowing me away with the quality of production.

This is the first manga I've ever read. It's very addicting and interesting to read. I remember when I used to become so addicted to it that I couldn't stop talking about it to my friends. It taught me a lot about relationships and dating. :P

can momo ever pick an easy relationship? i guess not. kiley seems to have feelings for a girl, other than momo. it's a nice twist for once. momo knowing what she wants (well sort of), and kiley becoming a more complex person.
