I thought this book had some interesting twists to the typical MC type books. The Devil's Vow had a bit of a romantic suspense feel to it which I really enjoyed. The last thing Katharina wants is to get caught up in the MC that her father used to run but when her stalker ex-boyfriend takes things too far she knows she needs help. As president of the Silent Havoc MC, Jace Carver, doesn't have time for a serious relationship. But when Katharina comes to him for help he knows he has to do something to protect her. As things heat up between these two someone from Jace's past shows up to completely rock their world.

STAY AWAY!!!
This was a really dumb book. Fist off the characters had zero depth. They suddenly switched sides regarding the ex, Jace is kind of a pansy, Katie is an annoyingly whiny chick. The crazy ex turns out to be a closet "good guy" WTF?! And to top it off, they spend the book hating each other, nothing ever gets resolved between them and then suddenly they're madly in love. Puh-lease *insert eye roll here* it was just really amateur writing honestly and the sex scenes weren't enough to redeem it. It was overall really contradictory.

This was an interesting romantic suspense story, with a woman (Katie) suffering domestic abuse, she returns to the MC previously run by her father (who died under questionable circumstances) for protection. The current MC President (Jace) marries her to deter her stalker ex, but that is just the start of his troubles! With suspicion falling on him for Katie’s father’s death, needing to protect Katie and a number of weird events coming to light, he has his hands full. Unfortunately despite his busy and chaotic environment, I found him a little unlikeable at times, his reactions and interactions seemed harsh and unnecessary, despite all his challenges.
Overall, I enjoyed the story, the intrigue and suspense, I just wasn’t a big fan of the hero, but that is a very personal thing, so don’t let it hold you back from an interesting read.

This is a intriguing, suspenseful MC romance and I thoroughly enjoyed reading each and every page til the last page was turned. This book is about: a MC princess (Katharina aka Katie) who approaches the MC president (Jace) for protection from her abusive ex-boyfriend (Troy) the only problem is, that Jace is under suspicion for the death of Katie's father, the previous MC president. What you will find in this book is: drama, intrigue, suspense, twists & turns, action, violence, a abusive ex, threats, violence, memories, disagreements, manipulations, revenge, murder, misunderstandings, apologies, lust, passion, love and erotic scenes. The story-line and plot is well thought out and written, it keeps the reader’s attention. The characters are well developed with personalities and moods suited to the situations they find themselves in. This is a well-written MC romance with a HEA and I would recommend this book to people who like to read MC romance.

Pick something else you deserve a better book
SPOILERS: I made it to chapter 5 then I had to call it quits. I even went to the reviews on Amazon to see if I was missing something. Turns out I’m not missing anything it’s just a bad book. First of all we all know it’s gonna be a sappy romance novel, that’s the goal, I still need it to be believable when it comes to common sense stuff. Jace says Katie should live with him to stay safe, yes that makes sense; then he says she also should marry him because then she’ll be even safer????? That makes no sense at all! Since when does having a ring on your finger mean you’re safer? Plus Katie is supposedly a spitfire, when not interacting with her ex. There was no evidence of that whatsoever, she’s definitely a pushover though. I honestly couldn’t make it through the first chapter without getting annoyed, probably even as early as page 2.

Oh boy......
There are many things wrong with this book! Serious plot line issues and unlikeable main characters topping the list. Not really an MC book, IMO. Again, the basis was there with the new president being suspect in old Prez’s death, but there was no real true showing of the brotherhood. Just a few male friends discussing the woes in life. There were only introductions of the Hero (pres), Axle ( brother/H bestie), and Kenny (brother/ h babysitter). The relationship between H and h was awkward at best. This book was all over the place! It was just an overall strange read, and not in a good way. Sadly, there was a lot of hope with some of the plot, if only the author had executed positively; but that was not the case. I did finish it due to the “Mystery of Margot” - which accounts for the second star in this rating.
Overall, I can’t recommend this one! Disappointing!

A different take on an MC book, I really liked "The Devil's Vow". Jace being the main focus of the story and the MC president, there was not a lot of direct action with the MC itself. Only a couple of members were involved with this story, with one coming to Jace's house to protect Katharina. It was a bit of a romantic suspense story with an introduction and background to the Silent Havoc MC. The story was hot and sexy as more details were revealed of the MC, with great drama and action in the telling of Jace and Katharina's story. I look forward to reading more stories of other members in the club and would like to thank the author for gifting me "The Devil's Vow". My opinion is my own. This is mine. 4.25 Stars!

When Katie ran from her abusive ex she thought that was it but Troy wasn’t letting her go threatening bodily harm if she didn’t come back. Katie ran to the leader of her dad’s old MC The Silent Havoc a guy known as Jace who is suspected of killing her dad but she needed help. Jace said they would get married to protect her but Jace has ghosts of his own and Katie can’t compete with a dead woman. Katie begins to go restless and Jace stumbles on a clue of who or what caused Katie’s fathers death but he can’t be everywhere so Katie puts herself in the line of fire. Katie and Jace are explosive but you can’t tell who is going to win.

Katharina's dad was the president of the Silent Havoc MC before he was killed. She has been in an abusive relationship with Troy for many years. When she decides to leave him he threatens her. Needing protection she goes to Jace, the new president of the Silent Havoc MC. Will Jace agree to protect her? What will she have to do to gain his protection? This story was well written and had a great storyline. Katharina and Jace had amazing chemistry and the sexy scenes between these two were hot. I really enjoyed this book and highly recommend it. I voluntarily received an advance arc copy for an honest review.

Trying to get rid of her stalker ex Troy is no easy feat so she asks for help from Jace Carver of the Silent Havoc biker gang. Now the fun begins. Besides helping Katie , Jace has his own secrets but things don’t always go to plan. A fast paced story of loyalty, trust, passion, danger and that’s just for starters. Guessing who is trustworthy, who is loyal and who to love. A series I highly recommend.

Just ugh...
I really really despise low rating or 1 star reviewing any author. But this book took every ounce of my will power to even force finish.
The plot theory was there. But the delivery and execution was similar to reading a rough draft to a high school freshmans first essay.
No clear flow, no real dynamic to this book at all. The details were there, the idea of a great story just shimmering on the blurred edge of conciousness that made it really hard to concentrate because it seemed so close but so far.

Disappointed
Honestly I kept reading hoping it would get better but it didnt. This is one of those stories where you know the characters will end up divorced within 5 years. It felt like Katie traded one abuser for another. Jace didn't show her any affection, or open up to her at all. There was no development. He was an ass and she remained a victim. It was all about how he felt for Margot and suddenly he loves katie? Nope, she was just a replacement. Wouldn't recommend this book sorry.

Another fantastic read from this talented author. Katharina has no other choice that to approach Jace who is the president of the MC for protection when her life is in danger. The chemistry is intense between them, and Jace will protect her no matter what. This story is well written, and is filled with action, twists, and steamy scenes. I was totally hooked and intrigued throughout. I highly recommend this authors’ work for all MC lovers out there!

I enjoyed the storyline of this book, which was interesting, with some suspense, intrigue and drama. Plus some really disturbed ex's. It tackled a difficult subject in domestic abuse and the mindset of people affected by this.
I just didn't really find the main characters likeable, in particular Jace, and to a certain extent Katherina. I did however like the secondary characters of Jace's MC friends Axel and Kenny

I would have totally given 5 stars, but the h's whining throughout the entire book got annoying. Also didn't really feel like the threats from her ex were that bad it warranted her to be as afraid for her life as she portrayed to be. I liked Jace and I liked Katie, for the most part. Was hoping for a little more grit to the story but it was an overall good read.

I was on the edge of my seat with this story and loved it!! You could tell there was an instant attraction between these two but there was so much happening in their lives that it was hard to see. The twists surprised me and were great. The sexy times were hot!! I definitely recommend this book! I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.

I wish I could say I liked it, but it was lacking in the most basic necessity, characters to care about. I read it until the end, hoping for some kind of connection with any of the characters, but someone just phoned in the book. Score on plot 2, location, 2, characters, 2 heat factor 0.

Good
While this book was good, it could have been so much better. The characters were just not up to par. The female lead was just so stupid and the male, who was the MC president was really just kind of whipped, not the badass he should have been. Hopefully the next book in this series will be better.

I wasn’t even going to write a review, but I guess I should warn anyone who’d listen that this is one of those cheap, plotless, ridiculous, and poorly written books that infest KU.
Honestly, if you care for plot, character development, dialogue, and consistency, this isn’t the book for you.

By the middle of the book I was not opposed to a plot twist of Katie being killed off. Even with all the trauma explained she was a unlikeable and pathetic…she came off spoilt and rotten. Great story minus Katie…who was such a dud. Btw Katie lives 🙄 and there’s a HFN 🤮
