This was hot. There were a number of things that were different about this book. The married couple gets introduced to the idea of cuckolding by a bull, rather than one of them (usually the husband) developing an interest. The story was told from the points of view of all three major characters -- wife, husband, and lover -- rather than just one (usually the wife or husband).

I may read this again (which I don't usually do with erotica). I hope Ms. McCurran writes more about these characters.

Stephanie and Andy are a typical suburban couple with three children. She was a virgin when they met and married so no sexual experience. On a rare night out they see her black co-worker sitting cozily with a white couple and it is obvious that he is hands-on in front of her husband. Jaws open they watch as the husband gets up and leaves. They just can't quit watching. The next Monday at work Dez informs Steph that he is her Bull. The more she hears the more aroused she becomes and Dez makes his pitch to her. She talks to Andy and he agrees for her to meet Dez for lunch and see where that leads. From that lunch in a secluded park Steph is hooked and encourages Andy to let her explore some more. He is nervous and hesitant but seeing the desire in her eyes he doesn't want to be a demanding partner so agrees to let her. She agrees to meet Dez and Charlotte, his "bi" and current conquest, for drinks and to quiz Charlotte on what to expect if she wants to explore further. After some drinks she follows them to a hotel suite where Charlotte blows Dez, then rushes over and kisses Steph sharing his cum while undressing Steph and pulling her onto the bed so Dez can take over the seduction , something that she had told Andy wouldn't happen. From there Steph can't get enough and goes wild when she is with Dez. Andy is torn but doesn't know how to reign it in without Steph's resenting him so allows her to continue. They have some rocky times ahead but finally come to an agreement.
I found some troubling parts when Charlotte, and then Dez later, gave her Coke to get her high. The story never mentioned it later so it is unclear if she told Dez "no" or if he offered it again.

The story deserves five stars for exploring the nuances of a relationship, it's pluses and many minuses. Kirsten always gives us a story worth reading, maybe more than once. and I encourage you to check out her other stories. You won't be disappointed.

It was good, not great, a solid work from this author who I follow and love most of her other books. Always good for a solo or accompanied read. Hot if you are into this type of read.

I guess I'm an outlier on this book, but it didn't catch my fancy. I have read a number of Kirsten's books and enjoyed them. For me, this one missed the mark. However, Kirsten has an excellent writing style and her skill shines through, thus the 3 rating.

This is a hotwife story and, as per the book overview, Stephanie and Andy see a coworker of Stephanie's out with an older white couple. Des, the coworker, is much younger and big, black and beautiful. The story has a very interesting premise as Stephanie queries Dez about his relationship with the couple, and Stephanie and Andy explore how that relationship could affect them. A very cool basis for a story.

Where I had trouble with this story is the first successful seduction scene covered almost 25% of the overall book. And while there was lots of angst for the couple, they never really explored their feelings and what it meant to them; they largely dealt with these issues individually or not at all. Equally, I felt Stephanie was way out of line on a number of health related fronts that were never adequately discussed or resolved.

I didn't feel there was enough backstory on Stephanie and Andy. They were in their early 40's, married 20+ yrs with young children. Stephanie worked in an office and Dez was a delivery guy. We heard nothing about Andy's job or what they had done through the first 15 yr of marriage. Yes, Stephanie was a virgin when they were married, but what about the rest? From my perspective the characters were very thin and the book relied too much on the sex.

While Stephanie professed her love for her husband, she didn't seem to have control over her libido, didn't seem to have a good handle on Dez (other than he wasn't marriage material) and didn't enunciate what Andy's strengths were. In the end, everyone seemed happy but, from my viewpoint, there were too many issues left unresolved.

Yes, the sex was great, but from Kirsten I expect deeper discussions and insights into the characters, their motivations, their resolution of thorny issues and their plan for moving forward.

Kirsten is an excellent and insightful author. While an interesting and sexy story, I didn't feel this one was up to her standards.

I look forward to reading her next novel.

One o& the better novels in this hotwife genre. Stephanie and Andy are in their early 40’s married for 20 years. They have kids, an excellent sex life, are deeply in love and not wanting for change. But one night while out for dinner they run into a co-worker of Stephanie’s, Dez. Dez, a man of color seems to be out with a white couple and quite affectionate with the wife. This sets off a fascination to find out what the story is there l. They do and it takes them on a journey they never expected or imagined they were interested in. This is a hotwife story, not a cuckold one, although there is plenty of angst. Well written and detailed. I found it very enjoyable.

Not sure what to think about this book, up to Kirsten's usual standard but, for me, felt a bit off. It's the usual "Variations on a theme" (Paganini) where hubby gets off on his wife becoming a slut too this time, a black co-worker who f..cjs her to kingdom come!! Oh yes, guess his appendage!!
Although it doesn't imply any humiliation as such, the husband must feel it but these books just show him enjoying his wife wanting and needing someone better...put up a bit of a fight guys! I guess I better get off my high horse now and calm down (the sex scenes were good tho')

One of the best books I’ve read of this genre. It’s highly erotic, plus deals both the wife’s and husbands perspectives.

The erotic sections are really hot.

The sections dealing with Andy’s quandary are insightful.

You won’t be disappointed with the book.

a brilliant hotwife tale

Brilliantly written tale. The dual points of view add to the understanding and heat.
I’m surprised Dez didn’t insist on Stephanie and Andy’s joint participation earlier. Even then, he merely acquiesced to it.
This has been a great change to the normal humiliating, cuckold story. Ms McCurran delivered this while including the angst.
I think a few more chapters would be gratifying. The adventure is an evolving relationship.
Worth a spot on your shelf and revisiting in the future.
A great read!

Sexy story with great sex scenes. I wasn't completely sold on how shared they were in the adventure (towards the end, hints of deception) nor of Dez's intentions but it was still a great read.

Very Hot Read

Great hotwife story showing the slow then fast progression of a married woman opening up to the hotwife life style. It also shows the dilemma the husband goes through with the twisted feelings of angst and passion and how much he loves his wife and allowing her the passion she desires.

Great Story

Well put together with a slight twist on the hotwife genre. Enjoyed immensely and had to ration my reading time so as not to finish to quickly. Well done.
