In just 27 pages this series prequel did it’s job nicely, introducing me to each of the members of troubled rock band Downward Spiral and hinting at all the potential romantic pairings to come.
I’m certainly intrigued enough by this brief intro and all the characters personal plights to want to read more.

Short intro to the series gives a great insight into each of the four band members the longer books will be featuring.
There's a trigger warning which is worth bearing in mind and not all is rosy in the rock world.

What a great teaser start to a series. I am already thinking on the stories and how they will go. Only thing is I don’t know all the twists and spins the author will add to them.

Lots and lots and lots of binge-reading in my near future. Next up is K.M. Neuhold's Replay series. It starts with (the prequel): "Rock Bottom."
["Downward Spiral— a band with a handful of platinum records, and almost no hope of making it. Meet Lincoln, Benji, Lando, and Jude— the hottest rock stars of the decade, who’ve just about hit rock bottom."]
Downward Spiral was first introduced in the Heathens Ink series (the fifth book "Inked In Vegas") when all of the Heathens went to their concert and got asked to go backstage. They became friends, and the guys from Heathens ended up tattooing the guys from Downward Spiral.
And this is so I don't get confused myself: Lincoln is the singer and he self-harms/is suicidal after some yet-to-be-named incident/person; Benji plays keyboard, is basically sunshine, and is crushing on best friend's twin; Lando writes songs and plays bass, and he's pining after weekend-night-stand; and Jude plays the drums and he does drugs/is self-destructive after a shitty childhood traumatized him.
After reading this short story, I'm now even more excited about reading this series! I can't wait for everyone to get their happily ever afters. Because right now, it seems as if those HEAs are very (very, very) far away (this is going to be a dark and twisty and emotional one, folks; buckle up).
Trigger Warnings: self-harm, drug use, suicidal tendencies, ect

This is a prequel which introduces the reader to each member of the band Downward Spiral. This is a band in crisis with each member falling apart in their own way. This short story sets the scene nicely and gives the reader a glimpse into the drama and conflict that will happen in each of the subsequent books.

I really enjoyed the prequel novella to the Replay Series and getting to know each of the members of the band Downward Spiral, their struggles and their love interests that will feature in each of their full length books. I’d definitely recommend this book, series and author to everyone.

Sex, drugs, rock & roll.... this is a brief glimpse into the lives of a band on the verge of self-destruction. Each short chapter peeks at each band member, and its manager.
There is mention of drug/substance use/abuse, self-harm, etc... sensitive readers beware.

ROCK BOTTOM is just a quick introduction to the band members of DOWNWARD SPIRAL and doesn't include any romance yet. I liked getting to meet each of the guys and I can already tell this series is going to be emotional so I'm really looking forward to reading it!

I picked up the Rock Bottom Prequel Novella because I wanted to start the Replay series by @kmneuhold after they were featured in Heathers Ink, that I read last month.
This is a great introduction to the band, aptly titled Downwars Spiral and that is definitely what this band is on.
Each chapter is told by a different member of the band and one from their manage. You get a little glimpse into their state of mind and predict how their stories may play out!

A brilliant short, brief introduction to the members of "Downward Spiral" and what is obviously going to be another amazing series by this author!!

Good snapshot of the characters before the series begins -- they're all a massive train wreck. Can't wait to see how they each pull out of the dive!

Mini intro to all the series characters. Nothing much really. Could’ve done without since all this is explained in the books. But it was a nice glimpse of the day to day mess they’re all in I guess.

An intriguing start to a new series. Although it seems a little dark and depressing, I love this author and look forward to a new journey with her.

Love the Back Story
I was so glad to find this little introduction to the Replay series. It was a wonderful set up. I like to see what brought this group to the point we are at as the series begins.

Five "tracks" introducing the manager and members of a rock band Downward Spiral. Very brief prequel to a series. Not really enough to make it interesting enough to pursue.

Looks like a great series ahead. Can't wait!
