One thing the Johnson brothers have is common is arrogance. It must come with the money. Ellis is a hard working business man, but doesn't have a good grasp on relationships. Mckenna is Ellis' best friend's little sister. They began a relationship, in secret, while in high school and then Ellis just left. I liked that they both still had feelings for the other, but with so much heartbreak I wasn't Mckenna would give in to him again. I didn't like how Ellis couldn't explain things and they both went through so much more pain. I also didn't like Brayden, Mckenna's brother, thought he should demand Ellis leave her alone. I did like the ending quite a bit. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
Second chance romances are always a touchy subject, add in that the girl is the guys best friends sister and that just makes it trouble. With plenty of drama, humor, intrigue and romance there is enough to keep you engrossed till you finish reading. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
even though it's a short story, I had such a hard time finishing it. i almost stopped reading so many times to count. both characters are so juvenile, so simple minded that i had the urge to just smack them both upside the head. very disappointed with this one, the writing was childlike, the story lacked depth, and the characters were too stupid for my taste.
First time reading this author and will be my last. I did not care for the characters and the excuse for being away for 7 years... Pitiful attempt at writing about mates. The pull was there so was the lust, but it felt like it dragged on. It left me disappointed. I did not connect with the story or characters.
This story is the case of misunderstandings and people getting involved in other people's business. All of it could have been avoided by communication. Once her brother threatened him, he should of talked to her and he also should of called her instead of letting her blow in the wind after the Vehas trip. But over all it was a great story
Ellis: A Best Friend's Little Sister Shifter Romance
I love how hot the passion was between even after seven years. I thought for sure her brother was going to fight Ellis or Chase him out the wedding. Glad she got pregnant for him.
A lot of tears, a lot of 💘, a lot of misunderstanding and a lot of love. Family can be a hindrance but with clear understanding a lot of help. I think this is a rough one but it gets there
