If you need a book that pairs dogs and gardening, this is one of them. I didn't look around for other ones when I got this one, as I was pulling up this title there are at least 4 others. If you need a book on this topic you will need to do more research for the 'best' one.

I wanted to a book in my collection of dog books on this topic. I fantasize about having a great garden but haven't really wanted to put the time and effort into a really nice one, and this book is good for that. It seems to cover all the topics. A lot seems pretty common sense to me, but it is organized well and has a lot of good information.

What was amazing to me was 10 pages of plants and trees that are toxic or could adversely affect your dog. Hopefully all of us know the basics, like lilies, poinsettia and mistletoe, but this list goes way beyond that. Also hopefully every pet owner knows about other toxic things for dogs which includes sugar-free gum, grapes, and raisins.

If anyone has read more of the books on dogs + gardening, would love to hear their opinion on which one is the 'best' on the topic.

This is a very helpful book for those who love dogs and who want to plant a garden or update their garden with dog friendly plants. I especially appreciate that this book mentions specific species and ideas for varying climates as well.

Not helpful at all. Rambled on and on about dog breed groups, but did not relate it back to gardening. Very few images or design ideas, very text heavy and rambly about personal stories. Just all around unhelpful.

As a new pet owner and a novice gardener, I was looking for a book to give me advice about what types of plants would be safe in our garden. It did have a lot of info about what plants are safe and which are toxic. Even though I was looking while I was looking for more of a blueprint for the perfect garden, this will be useful. This book also had a lot more dog training info than I expected.

Wish me luck!

Great ideas to try and keep the dog and humans happy. Really like the idea of a designated potty area. The author assures that you can train the dog to use one area. Something I'm going to try!!

Not much I didn't already know in this book. The puppies are sure cute, though.
