We read this book after seeing the authors article in a recent Canadian Living magazine. The article was enough to pique our interest enough to want to read more about the authors perspective and advice.
In short the article covered all of the items told in the book, without much expansion. So I found I was left longing for more.
Something to note is that although the book is over 200 pages, roughly half are recipes. Of the 100 or so pages of writing, chapters offer end with a blank page, then a spaced page, then the start of the next chapter. In total that really cuts the writing down to 70-80 pages.
There are good tips here. We will be trying to switch to grocery shopping once a month, and it reinforced our current good habits. We aren’t crazy!
I look forward to trying a couple of the recipes. Which may boost this to a three star from me.
As a note if you are an apartment dweller some of the recommendations may give you envy here as there are sections on how to best use your large, separate freezer and multiple niche kitchen appliances.

With increasing pricing on everyday items, this seemed like a relevant read right now. I was pleasantly surprised to find half of the book was just recipes, so the book will not go to waste. I did pick up a few tips here and there but this information was not earth shattering for me.
