One Last Kiss was a Second Chance Romance by Lauren Wood. This was my first book by the author. I was always a sucker for second chances.
Mack and Danielle aka Danny were high school sweethearts. They were complete opposites and in the end wanted different things from life which ultimately separated them. Fast forward ten years at their first reunion, they met again.
One Last Kiss was not the usual high school reunion story. And Mack’s arrogance was a total turn off from the onset. He got better, but he was still a little rough. In the end, it was a quick and ok read. It wasn’t my favorite story but I was glad to see that it wasn’t a traditional and predictable storyline.

Great book!! Really enjoyed reading it! And that end... God! It made me cry also, I had that little feeling telling me that was not true, but it hurt me nonetheless.
This was a quick read, like a 2-hour read. It was funny, exciting and entertaining. I really recommend to those who search for a quick read with enough comedy and romance that can make you fall in love.

ITS GETTING HOT UP IN HERE!!!
If you see smoke, no need to call the fire department. They won't be able to put this one out. If you're looking for that pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. You just might get more than you bargained for. If you're looking for action packed, fast paced, steamy all up in your personal bubble, electricity sparking, smooth flowing read that can take your breath away in an instant. You're welcome. I was captivated from the first page and frozen solid to my seat. I couldn't take my eyes off the page. Its a definite page turner that will have you panting as you continue down the path of discovery. The characters and scenes were so vividly described you felt like you were one of the characters instead on the side lines. A strong storyline with all the heart pounding, pulse racing, adrenaline pumping and an explosive chemistry that keeps your full attention on the pages as the tale unfolds and comes to life before your eyes. The twists and unpredictable surprises kept me alert and on my toes. Its amazing how the main characters seemed as if they'd spontaneously combust thats just how intense and electrifying when the two entered the same space. Wow! Lauren brought out the big boys to fight the flames that felt as if they were licking at my skin. I highly recommend you grab a copy and get comfy and cozy cause you're not going to separated from this jewel. Lauren I am totally in awe of you. You never cease to bring it full force when you create the world you pull us into. Magical. Phenomenal job the way you brought everything together. Settle yourself down for STEAM HEAT!
Oh boy, has Lauren written a really HOT story for us here. With a storyline that draws you in right on page one and keeps you engrossed right to the last. the main protagonists, Mack and Danielle [Danny] are such vibrant characters so full of life and surprises.They have been apart for ten years and she doesn't think he will recognise her as he has changed so much outwardly. But Mack knows exactly who she is and always will be - HIS. All of their second chance is wrapped up in steamy passionate scenes with some regrets thrown into the mix, some tears, some great humour and witty banter and a satisfying ending. The one part that I really didn't like about mack was he brought a date to their High School reunion to show off - why on earth bring someone when he was really wanting to get back and have a chance with Danny?? Men!! To find out if Danny will even speak to Mack and what happens you'll need to get yourself a copy and read and I do so hope that you enjoy it as much as I did. I read this book as part of an arc program. This was the second chance romance between high school sweethearts Mack and Danny. Danny ended things with Mack when she wanted to leave and go to college and he didn't try to go with her or ask her to stay. When their ten year high school reunion comes, Mack wants to go and see if Danny shows up and he would like a chance to sleep with her again. Danny is now an elementary school teacher and she is single. She really doesn't want to go to the reunion, but her best friend convinces her to go. Danny also would like to see Mack, but she has no intention of being with him again. When Mack sees Danny, he wants her even more, only he took a date to the reunion and doesn't make a great impression. Instead of making Danny jealous, she gets mad. Mack still wants her so he stays around town to try and convince her to see him. Danny gives in and agrees to dinner, only she knows Mack wants more. Mack has been keeping secrets as to what he does for a living and soon things get dangerous. Danny soon has to decide if she can be with Mack and accept his life without causing more trouble. I liked this story. It has a lot of heat and danger. There is great chemistry between Danny and Mack. I loved them together. Mack was very sure of himself and Danny couldn't refuse. Good one.

A wonderful love story, DRAMATIC, ROMANTIC and STEAMY - a must-read!
Lauren Wood’s eloquence and magic pen have blown me away in “ONE LAST KISS”, Wood’s newest offering. The way she describes the chemistry between Mack and Danny (Danielle) had this reader sitting on the edge of her seat awaiting the first meeting of the two after a ten-year separation. Although there is a hint of that anticipation in the blurb, the reading of the novel takes it to a whole new level. (Have an iced drink and/or hand fan ready nearby!) Then when they do get together (There is a promised HEA!) that chemistry is EXPLOSIVE! The prose is easy reading at its best, the characterization is well-developed and rich, and the plot kept this reader turning pages long after lights-out. (Thank goodness for tablets!) I was given an ARC copy of “ONE LAST KISS” to prepare this honest voluntary review, and I plan to place “ONE LAST KISS” in my Kindle’s favorites collection to be read again. “ONE LAST KISS” left a “feel good” that needs to be revisited! Mack and Danny were high school sweethearts and were hot and heavy with each other until Danny wanted to go to college. They split and now years later both are returning for their reunion. Mack plans to get Danny back however he miscalculated bringing a date. Sparks fly between them and Mack knows that he must get Danny back but he has some things going on in his life that he must take care of before he can make a permanent move on Danny. Danny knows that Mack can't be working in a legit way because he doesn't give a straight answer about his work. When he pesters her the day after the reunion to go out with him she agrees just to get him to back off but it just makes temptation that much closer. Will Danny leave Mack when she finds out what he does? Can Mack protect Danny from his business dealings?
This is a great story I couldn't put it down once I started it. The chemistry between Mack and Danny sizzled with each turn of the page. I would recommend this to any of my book friends.

A very well written short romance with twists that is worth the read. It has a great storyline and plot. This story caught me from the first chapter. The characters are well described and they develop nicely through the story. I like the chemistry and passion they have. It is nearly overwhelming because of the way it is described by the author.
I like it is written in dual POV, which gives the reader both the thoughts and feelings of the main characters. That makes the story even more emotional and captivating.
The mix of humor, sadness, hot scenes, passion, pain, trust, emotional ups and downs makes it worth the read. The unexpected twists are welcomed.
A reunion after ten years with the one you thought should be your one and only soulmate. Is the chemistry still there? Oh, yes. It sure is and it is much more than that.

This is a captivating, intriguing second chance romance that will draw you in from the first page and you will be totally captivated until the last page is turned, and I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. The book is about two people (Mack & Danny) who finally meet again after being apart for 10yrs, it is written in duel POV which shows what each character is thinking and feeling. What you will find in this book is: drama, intrigue, some suspense, twists & turns, action, humor, heartache, sadness, trust, regrets, longings, lust, love, passion and steamy scenes. The story-line and plot is impressive, well-thought out, and written. The characters are well-developed, and realistic with their feelings. I would recommend this book to people who like to read a extremely well-written second chance romance.

***I voluntarily read this ARC to give an honest review***Lauren this is a sweet second chance romance. I enjoyed the characters, Danielle (Danny) and Mack. Lovers throughout high school, but when she wants to go to college to be a teacher, Mack is sort of a bad boy he couldn't see himself following her. He let her go. But, he never forgot her and when their ten-year reunion came up, he was going only because he wanted to see Danny again and see if he could get her back. She is now a teacher and he is still a "bad boy," but the feelings are still there. They both knew that if he got his hands and lips on her she would be his again. Then, she started noticing black cars sitting in front of her house and following her as she walked to the school each day. Wonder who they were?

Awesome contemporary yet unique second chance romance. Danny took high school seriously as she wanted to become a teacher. Mack on the other hand put little effort into school and was the bad boy. During their senior year they were inseparable but Danny went off to college. Fast forward to their tenth high school reunion where they kiss. Mack is well off and likes to show it off. Danny was never into that but it didn't stop her feelings. The twists and turns this story takes makes you wonder if it ends in a HEA. Ms. Wood did an excellent job keeping the readers attention. I received a complementary copy of this book and chose to write a review. I look forward to reading future books by this author.

Mack and Danielle were high school sweethearts who attended their reunion to see what's up with their classmates, and maybe see each other again. They did see each other again but it did not go well for Mack. But he decided that Danielle was the one person missing in his life so he pursued her. And then... you can read the book for what happens next.
Both characters have grown up, matured and all. It was a little odd to read about Danielle's quirk...but ok. Though Mack isn't dealing straight, Danielle still protects him. And they do get their HEA, which I always enjoy. Not that keen on Danielle's decision in the end but again...ok.
This is an ok book. Something easy to pass away the afternoon.

Simply loved “One Last Kiss” a Really well written second Chance Romance from Lauren Wood. It had everything a romance reader wants, great likeable characters, suspense, action, panty melting scenes and most of all love! Does Mack get his second chance with Danny or is his line of work too much for Danny? 10 years is a long time to keep looking for someone like his Danny! Mack is still the lovable bad boy, but for Danny throwing their love away was her biggest regret! Will the high school reunion bring them together? Will they find their Paradise? Danny decides then and there they are over. 10 years later at their High School reunion they are back at it again. However, there is a catch Mack is still making his fortunes on the wrong side of legal and now he has someone after them all. Can they make it work?
This is a fairly quick read by Lauren. I have enjoyed several of her books. This book was not like any of the others I have read by her as far a story line goes. It was great to read another story line with a bit of mystery and suspense mixed into the romance.

This was Danielle’s dream and after so many years she made it but in her head she unconsciously kept thinking about the one man who made a difference in her high school years. Mack, a troublemaker, left his past behind and has become a very rich man. So after 10 years they meet again and this time Mack is on a mission to win his Danielle back. Had the privilege of reading and ARC copy for Lauren. Having dated Mack in high school, Danny never wanted to see him again. But fate had other ideas for them both. Great story of no matter how long your apart, if the chemistry is there it's there and you can't ignore it. Mack was still the strong willed alpha male she fell in love with in high school, but she was still upset with him for not coming away to college with her. Having shut their feelings off for 10 years, they both had to open them up again when they couldn't deny what they were feeling.

I have read and reviewed many of Lauren's books and have enjoyed them all. “One Last Kiss” is no exception. It is a wonderfully romantic second chance romance that flows beautifully and is a quick read. The story is not only steamy and romantic but an action-packed, heart-pounding thriller filled with danger, twists and so much more. How could meeting up at a ten year high school reunion lead to so much danger and intrigue? The superb writing makes this emotional story a pleasure to read. Don't miss out.

Mack was her first love and was able to make her feel things like no other. He was back for their reunion and their magnetic pull was as strong as ever. Was there a second chance for them? Lots of chemistry and twists. Well written with complex characters and an entertaining story line. Chemistry that's off the charts and heat so hot, you may need to call the fire department. I read a reader copy and voluntarily chose to write a review.

I received this book as an arc and this is my volunteered review. Danny and mack meet after 10 yrs apart at a high school reunion. Still feeling the pull and having anyone else complete them as they did each other they try again but as mack lifestyle catches up with him Danny has to chose her love for him to send him away. It was a touching story as 2 lovers ripped apart before by they choses in life and having to do it again but love can take you to paradise if you let it.

When they run into each other at the high school reunion they realize the spark is still there and ready to ignite. Love the chemistry and heat between Danny and Mack. Broken up right before graduation, reunited for their 10 year high school reunion, Danny became exactly what she said she would, but Mack is a surprise. Their interactions are explosive, full of emotion and the book had a nice plot to it besides the love story which came as a nice surprise.

Mack and Danny (Danielle) were a couple years ago but events caused them to break up. They see each other at a reunion. The fire is still there between them. A sexy, steamy second chance romance that I could not put down. A definite reread for my library.

Second chance romance between high school sweethearts that was very well written. The chemistry between Mark and Danielle is incredible and the way the author wrote there storyline is fantastic. This book has suspense, romance, drama, action and so much more. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Mack and Danny were high school sweethearts, but in order to follow dreams, they separate. Now 10 years later they meet at their school’s reunion, and the attraction is still as intense. This is a wonderful story, which is well written and flawless, with drama, danger, twists, and is a steamy second chance romance.
I highly recommend this authors’ work for all readers.

This is a wonderfully entertaining second chance romance. The storyline is sizzling hot, dramatic, good paced, and engaging. The characters are developed, likable, relatable and have amazing chemistry and interactions. I loved it. I voluntarily read an ARC and this is my honest review.
