4 - "She’s everything…" Stars!

I don’t generally read ménage, it’s not my bag, but I know a lot of people who do, and on occasion I make an exception. Kristen Proby is one of the few authors I would make that exception for, and once in a while it’s good to push oneself out of their readerly comfort zones, Burn With Me, is me doing that.

"As long as we all have fun, it’s consensual and comfortable, respectful, who cares..?"

I think the main thing I liked about this was that the relationship between Bailey and fire-fighters Kevin and Gray, was that it was pretty sweet and not at all smutty. Kristen has a way of writing a lot of her heroes, in that they are all alpha on the outside, but big ole’ fluffy marshmallows on the inside and both these guys were all that and then some, and did I mention fire-fighters….

"You’re ours… You’re never leaving."

A quick, sexy-sweet read. I am definitely not a ménage convert, but the author wrote it in a way that I moderately enjoyed.

This was a great, sexy novella. It was a lot of steam with just a little amount of story to go along with it but it all came together really well. I still felt the connection between these characters, which made the sexiness even hotter.

When I heard we were getting more from the With Me series I was so so excited. Then to get a surprise novella I was even more excited. This book was just brilliant I couldn't get enough of it. This book is a lil different to what KP normally writes but I m really hoping she does more like this. I m actually hoping that she will do more from this threesome. Bailey is a great woman with great values. She is a real sweetheart and so caring. I really like her and she is just perfect for the guys. She doesn't live a crazy life she like a simple one. Things haven't been great growing up but she has made the best of life and alway looked at things positive.

Gray and Kevin are both perfect I really liked them. There so sexy and to just make these two very hot men hotter there fire fighters yes I said it fire fighters. There just amazing they have been best friend since they were young. So they are really close. Sharing a woman isn't new for them but they have been looking for the one woman that will change there lives. Once they have set there eyes on Bailey a few years ago they knew they had to have her. But would she want to be part of there lives.

I would of luvd it longer but that's just me being freed cause I can never get enough of this authors book. If you like a lil hotness and threesomes read this you won't be disappointed.

This didn't have a whole lot of substance in terms of a plot-line, but it sure was steamy. MFM will forever interest me, as long as it's done right. I'll let this one slide because it's a novella and the sex scenes made up for whatever else it was lacking. Not my favorite in the series - I've read 3 and really enjoyed those - but what's more fun than 2 firefighters interested in being with the same girl?

It's been a while since I read an erotica book and since I read a Kristen Proby's book so when I saw this novella, I thought what a great opportunity to read both. It's only 63 pages so of course, the sex scenes happen pretty quickly and the falling in love/I love you as well but I didn't mind because for me erotica is a genre that permits it or I'm not as demanding as I am with romance novel.

Burn with me was previously released in 2014, in an anthology, under the title of Playing with Fire. A part of the With Me In Seattle series, you can still read it as a standalone, but know that the regular books are in the contemporary genre, so not erotica like this novella, but there's still plenty of steam and sexy times ;p If you're familiar with the WMIS series, Bailey is Nic's friend. She chose to follow her heart instead of doing what was expected of her by her parents and she help organize charity events where she can work closely with firefighters, among other things. But when a girl can't choose between two sexy men, it's up to the two best friends to show her there's could be an other option she did not consider.

What I liked :
- It was hot, hot, hot ;p
-There was no hassle about the ménage, they share, nobody is jealous, hallelujah ;p
- Written in the first person with POV of the three characters
-How Gray talked to her after they've been intimate and wants her opinion
-Did I say hot ? ;p

What I didn't appreciated :
-Kevin and Gray both kissed her one after another in front of people in a bar without asking her first if that's okay with her
-Wished they talked more about the idea of the menage before going home
-That Kevin judged where she lived (I understand the fire hazard thing but it's the way he talked about it)

Kevin and Gray put out.....the fire alright!!

I loved Kristen Proby's books. I love her characters, I love her heroines and I love her heroes. So when she puts two of her heroes together? Oh! My! God!

This is a MFM romance and it's hot as heck, it's understandable you need two firefighters for it! It burns you whole!

The scenes were amazing, their chemistry was off the charts. Bailey was so sweet and strong, and Kevin and Gray were both different and equal at the same time.

You know when you like a quality in one person and then you like a quality in another one and you can't just choose? Well, in this case, you didn't need to!

They all worked perfectly fine together, they fit, they completed the other, they were all a couple and it so worked for them.

It was sexy, it was hot, it was romantic.

It was Kristen Proby.

My Review:

So for this novella review, I wanted to share my thoughts on Burn With Me. This features the best friend to the heroine from "Tied With Me" and this features a menage romance that happens between our main character heroine "Bailey" who works on charity functions in an effort to help others. She is a senators daughter but is estranged from her family and lives very humbly so that she can help others as much as possible. There are two sexy firefighters who have wanted Bailey for quite a while but been waiting on the green light. For Bailey she isn't sure what their expectations are for her. If they just want a fling or something more serious and how it would work with three of them.

This is a novella and its not super long, and so its really such a spicy novella. I do think books like this would be longer. Menage relationship are very complex and I would have liked to see more aspects of the relationship being built. But I thin the author just wanted to do something quick and easy for their story. I did appreciate this book than I probably would have if I had read it when it first came out since I wasn't big into spicy only books. I did love seeing how their relationship happened though. And eager to move forward with the series now.

It was ok, I thought it was going to be a MMF but its most definitely a MFM.
The chemistry was good. It was too short to really give a detailed review.

2.5 short and steamy stars

As a mad fan of the With Me in Seattle series, I saw that this novella had a link in to that world, and I knew I had to read it. It’s very different from the other books in the series though, and is really more of a quickie read than a fully-developed novella, and the tie in is very loose as we get a short story for Bailey – best friend of Nic from Tied with Me.

Bailey is an event planner who has been crushing on best friends and firefighters, Kevin and Gray, for some time. Neither of them have made a move on her, but at her latest firefighting fundraising event, the two men both approach her with an offer that she can’t refuse.

Kevin and Gray have shared women before, but neither of them have felt as strongly about a woman as they have about Bailey. Bringing her to their home for the night, they intend to show her everything that they could possibly be together.

“Let’s get something straight … You’re not a porn star or a hooker, Bailey, and we will never treat you that way. You’re precious and we care about you. We want to enjoy you, and we want for you to enjoy us. That’s all. So whatever form that takes when the three of us are together is exactly that: between the three of us. There are no preconceived notions about what it’s supposed to look or feel like.”

Bailey is surprised, but all too willing to explore what the boys are promising for what is sure to be an amazing night. But they want more than just one night. Can three people have a happy ending?

This was a super quick read without a whole lot of story development. It’s a smutty read and not much more than that, but Kristen Proby writes good steam, and the scenes are hot and passionate, with a nice emotional element.

Definitely not a must-read, this is more of a sexy bonus, and you don’t need to have read the series to follow this one.

2.5 stars. It was ok.

Leave it to Kristen Proby to write a spicy AF novella that leaves me feeling all the feels!!!

As with most of us romance audio lovers we love a good spicy novella to help pass the day but what I love more than that is a spicy novella with heart. And Burn with Me had all the heart and heat with Kevin and Gray. I don't just mean their physique either, I am talking two tasty morsels of firefighter deliciousness.

Maxine Mitchell narrated Bailey like her life depended on it and she is one of my favorite narrators with her husky rasp. When she told those boys what do I almost obeyed. Then Aiden Snow, good lord I would let that mean read me his grocery list and say thank you. Michael Gallagher is a new to me narrator and let me just say where have I been? Because hello Michael that voice of yours was quite swoony and I can't wait for more.

Truly, I couldn't have asked for more of this novella. It has finally tipped me over the edge on reading the rest of the With Me in Seattle series or listening rather.

I normally give all of Kristen Proby books a 5 star but the reason I deducted one is not because of how it was written....because it was freaking hot and where can I get two men like this to find me!!! But, when reading a menege relationship, I need for there to be an equal footing between the two guys. I need them to both get the same perks, or the perks divided evenly. I can't stand when one guy is left out. Now, I know...she made it so that Gray didn't feel like he was left out...but honestly....he was. OK...so there are some spoilers ahead....ok...so Kevin got first time sex with her. He got first time anal with her, he got to be able to marry her. hmmmmmmmm....ok...first off...Kevin, if you are the first one to have her vaginally...u better give Gray that ass first, regardless of who has the bigger penis. Second...if both of you cant marry her, then marry eachother....sorry...just my opinion. Let me say...it doesnt go there in the book, but if Gray got the shaft on all of those aspects...Bailey better let him be the first one to knock her up. Ugh...ok...sorry...rant over. I just felt so bad for Gray.

Although "Play With Me" and 'Rock With Me" are two of my favorite books in this series, I really could have skipped this one. Bailey finds herself in bed with two hot firemen, Kevin and Gray. Good story but at 65 pages, it moved way too quickly and seemed more like a kidnapping than a consensual relationship.

As Bailey stated.. Hello, incinerated panties."

I'm pretty convinced at this point that Kristen Proby can't write just about anything. In Burn With Me, the burner is set on high with all the sexiness happening.

Burn With Me, is a short novella taken from one of my favorite series of all time, With Me In Seattle series. Bailey, charity event coordinator and best friends with cupcake owner Nic (Tied With Me) has been crushing over two firefighters. Kevin and Gray, firefighters have grown up together, best friends since forever, are tired of waiting for Bailey to come to them. So they ask her for a weekend. A weekend they can prove to her they are what she needs.

This was a sweet, short, tasteful and fantastic read. I think Kristen could definitely explore this world of ménage again.

I am so happy Kristen Proby rereleased this novella on its own. This story is sooooo steamy and sexy. For this to be a quick read, with the character development and chemistry, it is one of KP’s hottest stories. Fans will not be disappointed in a story that is a little different from what KP normally writes because she still keeps it within her tasteful and classy style.

Holy SMOKES!

I'm not even sure I know how to review this. This was probably the single, most smoking hot novella I have ever read! While it's short, it packed a HUGE punch! KP outdid herself with the sizzle in this one. However, she was still able to maintain her classic sweet writing style! My only wish was that this was a full length novel!!! Kudos to KP!

PINK NIPPLE ALERT: DO NOT READ THIS BOOK

I am a reader of romance novels, and I am a black woman. I know that the characters in most of the romance novels I read do not represent people who look like me. But I choose to suspend belief and immerse myself in the story. However, there are moments when the language used by the author takes me out of my acceptable delusion, and reminds me that I am not represented in the narrative.

Recently, while reading a romance novel, I came across a sentence that made me cringe.

“ …so I settle in to worship her perfect, pink-tipped breasts. “Look how beautiful you are.”

Damn, thanks a lot. Thanks for reminding me and taking me out of mentally inserting myself into your storyline. Why do YOU, yes YOU THE AUTHOR, keep placing a color on genitalia? Genitalia should NOT have a color. Just stop it…please just stop it.

In this era of readers “shaming readers for NOT reading Black Love Romance,” I take the hit. I will read what I want to read, and I will continue to support “black love romance” too. But I refuse to keep reading stories where the author continues to exclude a certain portion of their reading audience and does not care to delete the word “PINK” in their narrative.

Normally, if my star rating is 4, I would deduct and make it 3, and so forth. But I have changed my mind. I will DNF and record it on Goodreads and Amazon as a 1-star reading. I refuse to support authors who refuse to be inclusive. I know in the long run this will not matter to the author and to readers who are not POC, but damnit, I am going to make it my mission to call each and every one of them out.

I don’t care if my tweets go unnoticed or if there is no engagement. I will continue to shout at the top of my lungs:

PINK PU$$Y ALERT: DO NOT READ THIS BOOK.

It’s time for change in the romance novel industry. It’s time for authors to be inclusive and mindful of their language. Let’s make sure that all readers feel seen and heard.

Carry on!!!!

What a burning hot audio!!! A quick easy novella that is full of all the spicy menage romance with no wait for the heat in the beginning either!!

One day, Bailey is working and helping at a fireman stairclimber event. There she sees Kevin and Gray who are two firefighters that are best friends and have been flirting with her. That’s right, not 1, but 2 firefighters in this novella!!! Cue the fire alarm for this one! After they all end up at the pub that night, things quickly escalate! This book brings all the spice you want in a novella with the right amount of plot that helps the story flow! It’s the perfect easy read when you need a book that turns the flames up!

What a cast for this audiobook! Maxine Mitchell, Aiden Snow and Michael Gallagher did an outstanding job narrating this book and were perfectly casted! Their voices all blended so well together which made it feel so realistic! Aiden and Michael sounded just like two best friends while Maxine also fit as the curious woman in the middle of this romance! I do have to point out how incredibly enjoyable Maxine’s male voice is during her POV as well! Overall, this audiobook was so well casted and is such a perfect trio for this spicy menage romance!
