The adventure continues at Mystic Caravan Circus. The antics are fast, the quips furious and the danger ever present. Survival isn’t a given. It’s something that has to be worked toward every moment of every day. Thankfully the fun never subsides even when the darkness threatens to overwhelm them. This three-book omnibus includes books four through six in the Mystic Caravan series. Included are: Freaky Games, Freaky Places and Freaky Rites. Sit back and enjoy the show. You’ll never be the same again.
When I was a kid, I was torn between whether or not I was going to grow up and be the Incredible Hulk or Wonder Woman. I flirted with being a Jedi Knight for awhile, but I wasn't up for the intense travel associated with the gig. In my teens, I settled on being a writer -- although I had no idea the effort that would entail. Not only am I a writer now, but I'm a writer in several different mediums. I'm a longtime newspaper reporter, an avid reader and a voracious science fiction fanatic.
Really enjoyed reading this book. I love the series and this didn't disappoint. Less snark amongst characters and I liked the change. More character development for Made which can I just say SPOILER finally some hint of magic yay. Loved the visitors to Poet's fortune teller tent. Some fun and some touching patrons, and I'm a sucker for the readings, it's true but I liked these a lot. Was mention of Hemlock Cove as the next destination by Poet, so yay, Winchester witches cross over.
Reviewing for Freaky Rites, book 6 in the Mystic Caravan series. Possible one of the darkest tales from this crew so far. The characters were fun and still Nellie and Raven shine as the most fun and interesting. Glad to see Kade getting little more interesting and also finding Max a little more present, his lack of which was a mystery to me in previous adventures. It feels like it's all coming together a little better for the characters now and enjoying the stories.
I kinda like the series and the empowered women part but as soon as Luke shows up I start hating the books. I don’t know who I’m more annoyed with, Luke-for being a horrible best friend and overall person, Poet for allowing it or the writer for making me read it. He is starting to make the series unbearable.
As Mystic Caravan moves from state to state, they draw in evil and destroy it. Kade is still coming to terms with the paranormal and has a lot to learn but he is determined to do his job and protect everyone. He is still coming to terms with the fact Max is his father and a mage. Poet is beginning to suspect he might have inherited some magic himself.
While there were plenty of twists and turns in this book, I didn’t enjoy it as much as the earlier ones. This probably has ore to do with the series placement than the writing.
I Love the mysteries in each of the books. They truly are freaky! And the book covers are a great indicator of a tale in one of the three stories in the boxset. Great read.
I highly recommend this magical 3 book set, why change make it so much easier to binge, and the other 3 book sets in the same series, to readers who love reading imaginative Fantasy. Enjoy!
I really enjoyed reading this series, although I think the author forgets what is in previous books, I guess I can overlook some but it does get frustrating. The story line is good and progressive. I can only hope it doesn't get repetative.
A veer from the other story lines. All your series are favorites. Maybe a book where they have a destination that has nothing but good paranormals with the group waiting for something bad to happen and it just doesnt!
