It seems that the 1970s porno mag Screw used to assess porno movies on a four-erect-penises rating scale.

Adapting that scale to the novel here in question, I would easily bestow it four big hard ones. This, so far, is the only book I've read that kept me tumescent the entire way; literary Viagra of the first order.

If this is too much information then get back to the junior leagues, o' timid ones.

"Despite the fact that my sexual exercises are ordinarily as reserved and conservative as my language, my moral scruples do not go so far as to prevent me from fucking a mother on top of her daughter and then deflowering the same daughter on top of her mother."

Just to give you an idea of what's afoot...

This is 174 pages of constant ultra-hardcore sexual, debauched one-upsmanship, or, more accurately one-upswomanship. The frenzy leads up to, ultimately, a bit of an anti-climax. But until then it's the hottest book you'll ever read. Question is: Can you take it?

This old French erotic novel (written 1910; published underground in 1926) roars out of the gate with a teen girl wanting posterior pleasure from her 20-year-old male neighbor (the girl, her sisters and mother have just moved into the next apartment). The attitudes toward sex are positive and gleeful, though also tinged with a sadness, as you will see. Before it ends, almost every variation of depravity is explored in dual and gang-bang configurations dealing with one of the most potent of male fantasies, the taking of a mother and her daughters simultaneously.

The writing is not avant-garde or offputting, just to-the-point, explicit and unashamedly nasty. It is, if I've not yet made it abundantly clear, the dirtiest book I've ever read.

Fair warning, don't read this if you don't have access to a facility and/or person in which to alleviate the pressure. I'm serious. This is so relentlessly dirty that it actually makes me giddy with laughter. The action is nonstop and the conversations -- which are downright hilarious in how everything is so plainly spelled out -- are just plain hot. This stuff is super taboo, very transgressive, pretty much nothing is off limits here. It's a volatile stew and it gets my juices going to the point of squirming. The perve muse delivereth...

A mother who is masterful in the art of sex is training her daughters in same said skills and giving herself and all of them over to the lucky main dude of the story. It's a fairly ridiculous conceit, pure male fantasy porn, but it's done so frankly and enthusiastically; it sort of puts contemporary erotica to shame, so to speak.

The sadness of the story comes through, despite what I said earlier. Each of the women -- all of whom really have the same voice, perhaps since they all share the same kind of life, or perhaps because Louys is not a good enough writer to distinguish personality -- is relating the harrowing depraved back stories of how they became whores, how each was first exposed to each nasty act. There's more an acceptance by the daughters and the mother of their whorish inheritance than true joy. All the happiness they have is concentrated in their clitoris, and usually they enjoy it best when self administered. As for the rest, it's simply a job, or perhaps a lifestyle that is fated rather than chosen. It's so silly at times that it's sublime, and the undercurrent of sadness is there. Even so, it's also a celebration of what is often known as depravity. I can't deny it, though, it sounds like being with these siblings would be a blast, even though it would be impossible to keep up with them.

Susan Sontag proclaimed this one of the few erotic novels deserving real literary status.

So, there, it has some snob cred, people.

Trois Filles, Une Cup

If you filmed this book it would get you life imprisonment or, in some countries, beheaded. I plead not guilty. I figured that something written in 1910 was safe. Furthermore, I posit that this booby trap was actually written by Susan Sontag in the late 50s.

After a while the book goes from hardcore to dullcore. The word cornhole appears 140 times in as many pages. How many people can sit through a full-length porno feature film from beginning to end? I would like to claim that I DNF, but that's not entirely true.

Review finish and complete 🌻

This book is extremely sexual, and thats why i started to read it, because haha smut sex wow, but this is so traumatizing and horrible, in a level that I refuse to donate this book as I usually do with the books that I dont like, because I don't want anyone to read this.
In this book teenagers that are 14 and children of 8 and 10, make sex and orgys with adults, and the orgys are with they re mom and old guys and they prostitute since they re 5 years old with guys and girls and they fuck they re mom together, etc
The story is about 3 children that want to seduce they re neighbor and the neighbor is a guy that fucks children, like 8 years old and etc, and he fucks this 3 children of 14,10 and 8, and the mom and all of them make orgys
The sex is detailed and explicit
Its so discusting how this story was no plot twist, its not even a history, there is no secundary story happening, its just 266 pages of sex, just that,  and no story
And the main character admits he is a pedophile and he likes to fuck minors and children and he usually does that
The author is just sick minded, the book is just a excuse to say that he is a pedophile, I understand dark storys, dark things and etc, Stephen King for example, I GET HORROR AND SICK MINDED THINGS but there is no story or plot twist, nothing is happening besides sex, is just straight up pedophilia STRAIGHT UP PEDOPHILIA
And wait this book is inspired by a real thing? That's even worse
Everyone that likes this is sus af i don't get the people that give this higher than 2 stars, u guys are sus af
I just read it cause it's 29 of June and I didn't read anything yet and I want to read at least 1 book per month and this one is quick and I don't have to pay attention cause it's literally just sex the whole book so it's a easy read to complete my goal of 1 book a month at minimum and I knew it was sex I didn't knew it was sick like this
And okay forgetting that this book is pedophilia, it's so boring it's sex during the 266 whole pages
It also haves zoophilia LIKE A LOT OF ZOOPHILIA and scat
And it also romanticizes beating on women in a non sexual ways it says that women like to be beaten up and if u punch a women it means you love her

It doesn't have a story, a plot twist, something happening, nothing, it's just sex with 14 year olds and violence and zoophilia
Don't waste your time reading this, because even if u are sick minded and u think that this is normal, it's boring, cause there is no story it's just sex, every page is sex, every each one of them
Also i get that this is a old book like 1980 or so, but idc, I'm never reading from this author again and i don't trust anyone that likes this author

"Omg u are so sensitive I love dark humor and dark things haha"
It's not humor, it's not even a story, it's just straight up child porn

People that are praising the author on his other book the guide for girls idk, it makes me so sick that people don't know that the pedophilia that he writes it's not a dark joke at all
I'm just going to lose this book and forget about it I want to forget everything that I just read cause it's horrible and sick minded

I read this book in its Spanish version some years ago, shortly after discovering Pierre Louÿs and his extremely smart and funny Manuel De Civilité Pour Les Petites Filles à L'usage Des Maisons D'éducation.

As many other open-minded readers from our time, I guess, I was also openly shocked by almost every page of it. I didn't find it arousing at all, but I did find it mostly fascinating, sometimes too strong, other times kind of sweet and innocent, all of it depending on the point of view and the level of relativism applied...

Today a good friend asked me about one erotic novel to read, and my mind came to this book, not as "one of the best erotic novels" but as "one labeled-as-erotic novel that could shock any reader up to some high levels"...

Hollow and Monotonous

In summary, it's a story about young girls groomed into being prostitutes deliberately conditioned into self-loathing and sex addiction by their pedophilic mother who rapes and tortures them, and gives her daughters out to other people for her own satisfaction. And everything is for *her* satisfaction; the men and women the children are given to (including the protagonist) are props. The real culprit is the mother in what she permits/arranges with others and what she does to them herself

The perspectives are from various unreliable narrators who excuse the mother for her actions. Which I suppose is truth in fiction, since it is common for children to defend abusive mothers and make excuses for them even when the mothers are complete pieces of trash

Not that this story aims for realism though. It is only smut, and very unrealistic at that, to the point where it's not shocking because of how exaggerated it all is. A bunch of accounts of women, men, girls, boys, mothers, fathers, daughters, sons, animals regardless of age, relation, species randomly having sex with and raping each other. Mostly the mother raping the daughters. There's no depth to it besides that, and it becomes tedious by the hundredth account of the woman getting off to making her children give her cunnilingus

As for the characters, I could feel some sympathy for the daughters, especially Charlotte. The protagonist was just some moron who would screw any female and he offered no interesting insight even as the first-person narrator. The mother's character was just as shallow. It seemed she was meant to be sympathetic to some extent, but she was just a typical pervert who used those she had power over for her sexual inclinations. Even with her backstory and her sometimes being beaten and whipped by the johns, I still could feel no understanding towards her. I feel she didn't suffer as much as she should have. Though that's likely driven by my hatred towards people who think mothers have the right to groom their children however they want

Regardless, the biggest issue is that there really wasn't much storyline or character development. Just some dude's mother-daughter-sister incest fantasy

Je me retrousse ?

The next logical extension after you've read Bataille's Story of the Eye. It shatters all limits, and is at times amusing, whilst also containing moments of pathos as the children's trauma is realised. Lauded by Sontag as an erotic masterpiece, and among Burroughs's top ten books, if you're seeking novelty, a transgression of conventionality, or an entertainingly ludic erotica, then try this one out, though it's not for those easily offended by e.g. incestuous perversities.

This OOP edition from Creation Books also includes a short sapphic text entitled The Erotic Adventures of Toinon, which takes place at a girls' boarding school.

I read this because Susan Sontag said it was one of the few works of pornography that could be considered literature. I expected this to mean it was very successful as pornography, much like a work of science fiction that's called literature is typically just very accomplished science fiction. The opposite was true, this was the least arousing novel I have ever read, though I can still see what Sontag meant. It's an exploration of sex as an all-encompassing obsession, and the result is, as I should have expected, thoroughly revolting.

I’m giving this three stars because I have no idea what else to do. I recently found a comment I’d made about this book when I was roughly 150 pages in, in which I said it was endlessly fascinating but not arousing. Whatever the case, at some point I got the vast majority of the book before putting it down for several months. I came back and finished it today, reading the last few chapters, and they were, quite frankly, not good. If I had to guess, I’d say it fell off about three quarters of the way through. I’m simply confused now.
