FAST VENGEANCE brings us the conclusion to the DEA FAST series and I’ve been waiting for Victoria’s story ever since she first appeared. This is probably my favorite book in the series because I loved Victoria and Brock so much and their relationship was so beautiful; we even get a bonus romance between Gabe and Oceane! While this can be read as a stand alone it really works better if you’ve at least read the previous book FAST JUSTICE because there’s a lot of set up for Victoria and Oceane’s history in that prior book.
Victoria is finally starting to feel comfortable again after her horrible kidnapping and torture by the cartel but before she officially disappears with her new identity she wants to regain her sexuality with someone she trusts. Brock was there when Victoria was rescued, he stayed with her in the hospital and he’s been a solid and supportive pillar ever since. What Victoria doesn’t realize is that Brock is already pretty much in love with her and the way Brock cared for and supported her was just perfect. These two were really sweet together because they understand each other, listen to the others’ needs and respect each other’s strengths. I also loved how much of a fighter Victoria is in the face of everything that has happened and she never gives up. She’s the epitome of a heroine who is emotionally strong and tough but also a bit vulnerable.
The addition of Gabe and Oceane’s story was nice as well and it was great to see a conclusion to DEA FAST’s mission against the Veneno cartel. Though a few things were cleverly left open and I’m curious to see if the cartel reappears in future books as Kaylea Cross likes to interweave small connections through her various series.

The DEA FAST Series is a good, solid, action packed romantic-suspense series. It pulls a few punches, but a lot more land for devastating results. A lot of taboos get broken and that just makes this series more powerful. "Fast Vengeance" is a unique story in that the focus of the book is divided between two couples, but the overarching story of the deadly Veneno Cartel and the DEA's search for the head of the group ties everything together.
Victoria Gomez, an investigative journalist, watched her family die before being taken captive and brutally beaten and used. Almost a year later she still has the scars, both physically and psychologically, but she wants her life back and is working hard to reclaim that which the cartel took from her. Soon she will start that new life as part of WITSAC, but before that happens she wants to reclaim a part of her self and she needs FAST Bravo’s team leader, Brock Hamilton, in order to do that.
Brock Hamilton will never forget finding Victoria nude, battered and running for her life. The image is seared into his brain. When she comes to him with a proposition, he wants nothing more than to help in any way he can. He just hopes he can control his own emotions in order to do what she asks and needs.
Oceane Nieto was a Cartel Princess. Her father was a top leader and life was good until she discovered how the lavish lifestyle was funded. She and her mother defected and her mother was brutally murdered. Now Oceane has to make a decision that could put her back in her father's grasp and it could all go so badly.
DEA Operative, Gabe, has taken a special interest in Oceane and admires the bravery she has shown in leaving the Cartel and looking forward to a new life, even if that life doesn't include him. When Oceane is asked to do the unthinkable, he realizes that she means more to him than he ever realized.

Vengeance is FAST and swift:)
Victoria is an investigative journalist, writing a book about the Veneno Cartel, when they come for her! Unfortunately she loses everything dear to her as a consequence of her actions and she is taken prisoner by them and forced to do unmentionable things. She is rescued by FAST Bravo and has an immediate connection with Brock when he carries her from her prison and later protects her in the hospital! A year later, they have become good friends but her time is almost up before WITSEC moves her to her new life, with a new identity! But she wants to reclaim one more thing before she goes and she wants Brock to be the person to help her!
Oceane and Gabe also have their fair amount of challenges in this book, as Oceane’s father wants her back and in order to achieve this, he has one of the FAST team members kidnapped!
Lots of action, suspense and romance with a dose of heart raising adrenaline and anxiety to top it off. Not sure if this is the last in the FAST series but I’m hoping not as I love all these characters and it’d be nice to see where they end up!

I've discovered another delightful and favorite Kaylea Cross story!
Love how Victoria and Brock achingly needed each other and provided the safe place and the healing touches each one were desperate for.
I adored getting the additional romance of Oceane and Gabe - they made my heart melt in so many ways!
And the theme of brotherhood, the connection the guys all had with each other - that helped to make this adventure of a story complete.
Mix some heart aching moments with edge of your seat anxiety and Fast Vengeance delivers!
Love how Victoria and Brock achingly needed each other and provided the safe place and the healing touches each one were desperate for.

Excellent!
As usual Kaylea delivers another incredible story about the human spirit. I love the strength of the female characters she writes and their determination to live life on their own terms as fully as possible in whichever circumstances they find themselves. Bravo woman! Awesome book! Write On ! Davia

I loved reading about Brock and Victoria's story! This was probably my favorite yet. They're both survivors - having lived through something most of us can't even imagine.
In real life, I find myself a little jaded at the whole "love at first site" idea. I know they make for great love stories in print or on the silver screen. Brock had a pull for Victoria since the first moment he met her - in quite difficult circumstances - rescuing her from the cartel. He then became the only man she could really trust despite her constant protection. Brock felt the need to protect her in his own way and felt humbled that Victoria would trust him after all she's been through. So when she came to him, asking him to help her sexually before she entered WITSEC and disappeared from his life forever, he was stunned yet willing to help. Thus began their true love story.
Brock getting captured himself by the cartel only amplified their feelings for each other and they both held on to each other mentally to get themselves through his capture. Granted, in order for this novel to work - and their love story to work - one of two things needed to happen. Either Brock would quit the job he loved to join her in WITSEC, or the threat against Victoria would have to be eliminated. Guess which option Ms. Cross went with?
There does seem to be a bit of a cliffhanger with the leader of the cartel still being a mystery. Although, Oceane and Gage's story was somewhat told. I hope this isn't the end of the FAST Bravo series...

A great read! Brock "Cap" Hamilton and Victoria Gomez were destined to be together. The growing friendship between Gabe Lockhart and Oceane Nieto is also featured in this story.
It was bittersweet reading the 7th installment of this series. I've enjoyed several series by Ms. Cross and the FAST Team is no exception. The brotherhood and the close relationship with each of the team member has been such a huge part of why these series work. Each of the story involves a couple or in some case, couples. In this particular story, the readers are given 2 specific couples whose stories are somewhat intertwined.
Hamilton is the leader of the FAST Team. He plays an intricate role in the team. He's watched his brothers find The One and this time he will need to explore his feelings towards one particular woman who has become important to him since they rescued her from the horrific situation caused by the Veneno cartel. He witnessed an abused woman who lost everything - her family and her self dignity - and come back to reclaim her life. From the moment he carried her out of the woods the night of her escape, a bond has formed between Brock and Victoria.
Victoria Gomez lost her family to the sadistic and inhuman way of the cartel - the same cartel she has investigated as a journalist. Shortly after publishing her book, Victoria's family was gunned down right before her eyes - grandparents, parents, siblings and their children. To make it even worse, the cartel kidnapped her and abused her in every evil way. After her rescue, she had slowly began to piece herself together. She was a brave, strong and determined woman. I found that Victoria was appropriately named - victory would become hers in the end.
The relationship between Victoria and Brock was on borrowed time. In order for her to stay safe after being an integral part of bringing the case against Ruiz's (captured cartel lieutenant) crimes, she was going to be placed in WITSEC - witness protection program. Brock was completely aware that Victoria would eventually leave. But the more he spends time with her, their bond gets stronger and so do their feelings towards each other.
The other couple, Gabe and Oceane, have also become close. Gabe was assigned to temporarily to guard Oceane during the time she and her mother requested protection from the US government. Oceane was the illegitimate daughter of another cartel lieutenant, Nieto. She grew up knowing little about her father's business until her mother Anya had told her the truth. While in hiding and under security, Anya was brutally raped, tortured and eventually murdered by members of the cartel - the order taken beyond what Nieto had intended.
Gabe Lockhart is the quiet sniper who tends to keep to himself. Although part of the close knit brotherhood of FAST, he mostly keeps to himself. His temporary assignment to guard Oceane was something he was not to happy about. His first impression of her was rich, spoiled brat. But after spending time with her and getting to know the young woman who lived a secluded life away from the cartel, Gabe realized that there was something about Oceane. His protectiveness towards her had become more than being her former guard.
I really enjoyed the balance of action, intrigue and romance in this installment. The couples' connection also played a part in which I thought was done well. Victoria and Oceane formed a friendship and shared a special bond. Gabe and Brock had similar personalities which turned out to be great match to the strong and smart women they've fallen for.
The author has been known to write extended story or wrap-up installment, and so I'm really hoping she gives the fans of this series another FAST story. (Tiny spoiler - the door was left slightly opened in the end).

is an adult romantic suspense thriller by Kaylea Cross and the 7th book in her

Packed with plenty of action, suspense and romance, Cross’s DEA FAST series focuses on the members of one of the DEA’s Foreign-Deployed Advisory and Support Teams: FAST Bravo. The series continues with FAST Bravo’s team leader, DEA Special Agent Brock Hamilton, and former investigative journalist Victoria Gomez as they strive to bring down the Veneno drug cartel. But when Brock is taken prisoner by one of the cartel’s top lieutenants, it will take all of his strength to survive his captivity.
Fast Vengeance was a well-written, action-packed, romantic story with a satisfying HEA. Victoria had been an investigative journalist who’d witnessed the massacre of her entire family by Veneno sicarios, then had been kidnapped, beaten and brutally violated by multiple men because of her work on North American drug cartels. Yet even after everything she’d endured for weeks at the hands of her captors, it hadn’t crushed her spirit. And since the night she’d escaped nearly a year ago, she and Brock had formed a bond of sorts. They’d attended various meetings and briefings together pertaining to Veneno investigations and he’d taken her to the range to teach her how to shoot, watching her slowly gain her confidence while becoming less afraid and more proficient with firearms. Victoria had also had ex-Valkyries Briar DeLuca and Trinity Durant teaching her self-defense techniques and basic hand-to-hand combat tactics until she’d felt confident about her ability to defend herself, if necessary, which was just one of the ways she had been preparing for the next transition that lay ahead of her in the WITSEC program.
This was the book that fans of the DEA FAST series had been waiting for; although, I must say, I had been hoping for a bit more vengeance. In my mind, I had pictured something more along the lines of Riley North in the movie Peppermint, whereas Victoria would embark on a quest to deliver her own personal brand of vigilante justice upon the animals who had brutalized her and murdered her family. Nonetheless, I enjoyed Cross’s version of justice too, and I’m hoping she’ll write—at the very least—an eighth book because the series just doesn’t feel complete with the head of the cartel still at large.

SHEER PERFECTION...... 5 Plus Stars!!! Masterfully Crafted, Compelling Story That Magically Transforms Into A Thrilling, Heart Wrenching “Movie” For The “Mind’s Eye”!
This installment of DEA FAST series is wrought with opposing forces. Good vs Evil, Despicable Cruelty vs Compassion, Betrayal vs Loyalty, Narcissism vs Altruism, Greed vs Generosity, and Trust vs Mistrust.
Ms. Cross once again expertly takes us into the inner workings and dynamics of the Veneno Cartel and it’s network. After reading all of the books in this series I’ve gained a new perspective into the powerful, nefarious, and lucrative drug trade in addition to the abhorrent “Skin Trade.” She gives us an insight into the individuals involved in the cartel and penned a conflicting portrayal of their persona. Cruelty against humanity on the business end of the cartel versus the intimate family life of these cartel leaders. Their hardened, cold, blackened hearts have a genuine warmth and glow for their immediate family, surrounding them with luxury and love. So very difficult to comprehend. The “modus operandi” of the cartel can by summarized into a few simple words: “kill those who challenge or pose a threat.” The cartel prospers for the simple reason that MONEY and THREATS against family keeps the corruption strong. I’ve concluded that the Veneno Cartel is driven by the addictive, insatiable craving for monetary wealth as they feed the addiction of individuals their “strategically formulated” drugs that keep their clients hooked.
I loved the relationship between the two tortured souls Victoria and Brock. The sweet, tender scenes where Brock, at the request of Victoria, helps her regain her sensuality and trust in an intimate relationship was truly off the charts!!! Oceane’s slow burn relationship with Gabe was also a rewarding read.
After enduring the emotional roller coaster of events played out in the story, readers are rewarded with a mind blowing twist toward the conclusion of this story. All I will say is ..... WAIT FOR IT!!

This installment of DEA FAST series is wrought with opposing forces. Good vs Evil, Despicable Cruelty vs Compassion, Betrayal vs Loyalty, Narcissism vs Altruism, Greed vs Generosity, and Trust vs Mistrust.
Ms. Cross once again expertly takes us into the inner workings and dynamics of the Veneno Cartel and it’s network. After reading all of the books in this series I’ve gained a new perspective into the powerful, nefarious, and lucrative drug trade in addition to the abhorrent “Skin Trade.” She gives us an insight into the individuals involved in the cartel and penned a conflicting portrayal of their persona. Cruelty against humanity on the business end of the cartel versus the intimate family life of these cartel leaders. Their hardened, cold, blackened hearts have a genuine warmth and glow for their immediate family, surrounding them with luxury and love. So very difficult to comprehend. The “modus operandi” of the cartel can by summarized into a few simple words: “kill those who challenge or pose a threat.” The cartel prospers for the simple reason that MONEY and THREATS against family keeps the corruption strong. I’ve concluded that the Veneno Cartel is driven by the addictive, insatiable craving for monetary wealth as they feed the addiction of individuals their “strategically formulated” drugs that keep their clients hooked.

This book is about the journalist Victoria Gomez who was talked about in the other books. In this one it begins with her and her family celebrating the publication of her article. Then after a few moments her life is forever changed when the cartel comes in and kidnaps her but not before she sees what happens to her family. It is weeks before the Fast bravo team can find her and rescue her but the damage has been done to her and on the night of her rescue she clings to the man who rescued her, Brock Hamilton. He is the team leader and though he wants to be with his team he knows that by the way she will not let go of him that he must stay with her on the helicopter to the hospital. Now months later he has grown to like her strength, courage, perseverance, to fight back. They realize that their bound has grown into something more but neither speaks to the other one about it. Afraid that the feelings shared will scare the other one. These feelings, emotions, are all put to the test when Brock himself is taken prisoner by the same cartel while protecting witnesses against it. Now knowing what he will be going though Victoria decides to fight back for the one person left in her life that is still alive. Watch out drug cartel. Another great read by Ms. Cross. I love this series! In this book we actually get two stories in one! Finally the leader of FAST bravo finds his HEA, After seeing his brothers all find that special someone, Victoria Gomez becomes his special someone. Victoria, an investigative journalism, lost her entire family to the nefarious Veneno Cartel. After which she is abducted and abused by the same cartel. Brock finds and rescues her. After the rescue while Victoria is healing and getting stronger everyday, she develops strong feelings for Brock and a fragile relationship develops. Brock is aware that Victoria will eventually be sent to WITSEC and cannot fathom how he will go on, but things have a way of working out.
In the second part of story, we have quiet and strong, Gabe and Oceane. Gabe is tasked in protecting Oceane when she finds out the truth from her mother about her true parentage. Gabe was not at all happy about his assignment, no matter how temporary. He believed her to be a spoiled brat, but as he protects her, he realizes what a truly wonderful person she is. Their relationship blossoms and grows and Gabe get his HEA.
As per usual Ms. Cross doesn't disappoint. Her writing is solid and filled with action, suspense, murders, and secrets, I am never bored, Lol. Really enjoyed this story and I pray this is not the end!!! 4.5 solid stars*****

The beginning of the end
Heck yes. That was intense as can be and so full of emotion. There are several sub stories going on that connect every thing. First we have Victoria and Brock. Victoria us bound and determined to take back her divinity and her body. She will do what ever it takes. Brock will do any thing to protect Victoria, even though he knows she'll be gone soon and hell never see her again. Then you have Oceane and Gabe. Oceane will do what ever is necessary to bring her father down and make him pay for her mother's death. Even if it means she has to sacrifice herself to do. Gabe is the silent protector. Even though he couldn't stand Oceane when he first met her, hell do any thing to keep her safe even when he knows he can't. You also the bad guys Ruiz, Nieto, and Montaya along with El Scorpion making appearances throughout the book, trying to do whatever it takes to survive and get what they want. All of the Fast agents make an appearance as well as Briar and Trinity from previous books. This story is full of revenge, determination and justice as well as sacrifice and love. you'll be on the edge of your seat waiting for the other shoe to drop, following all the twists and turns. An adventure you don't want to end. Another excellent addition by Kaylea Cross.

I wish I could give this book more than 5 stars. I enjoyed the entire DEA FAST series, but Fast Vengeance was such an outstanding read that it's going on my "2018 best of" list.
Fast Vengeance was so jam-packed full of heart-pounding action, suspense and intrigue that several times I was so caught up in the book that I forgot to breathe. Then there was romance, love and passion between Brock & Victoria and Lockhart & Oceane. Kaylea Cross brings all her characters to life in a way no other author does. I become so immersed in her books that everything else vanishes but what I am reading. This book has it all and will leave you feeling completely overwhelmed, but in a really, really good way.
Fast Vengeance makes me want to go back and reread all of Kaylea's books. She is without a doubt the absolute BEST romantic suspense author out there. I have read every romantic suspense book by Kaylea Cross (almost 40) and each time I finish one I am hungry and impatient for the next. I have over 1,000 books in my TBR pile but when Kaylea releases a book, it jumps to the top of the list.

The seventh book in Kaylea Cross' DEA FAST series is Fast Vengeance. The name fits it to a T since this is a fast action, emotional read. Brock Hamilton and Victoria Gomez met in horrendous circumstances when he helped rescue her from cartel captivity. This happened before this story begins. Now Victoria is determined to continue to see justice done.
The connection between Victoria and Brock is strong even if both chose to ignore. Seeing the two of them work through this is a beautiful thing. There is also a subplot romance that is also a delight. However, it is the coming justice that makes this such a gripping read. There is determination to bring down the cartel once with vengeance, as well as personal sacrifice and love.
Kaylea Cross is one of the best suspense writers of today, never sacrificing the story for the sake of romance. Instead the romance is an integral and logical part of the story. I can highly recommend Fast Vengeance.

Victoria wrote a book exposing a dangerous drug cartel. Her family is killed in front of her, she’s kidnapped and brutally raped. She escapes and the FAST Bravo team finds her in the woods and rescues her. Brock is Capn of FAST team and stays with her while they check her out in the hospital. She starts to recover and before they put her in WITSEC, she wants to have a normal relationship with a man, Brock. He is more than happy to help but she still has flashbacks. He finds a way to help her gain control and the sex is phenomenal.
They have a lead on one of the drug cartels and must leave at once. While down in Mexico, Brock gets taken in exchange for the mans daughter. He is beaten and tortured before they can get to him. Victoria is sent with them to Mexico to see if she can identify any of the men who had her. Once Brock is rescued, he knows it’s a matter of days before they ship Victoria to her new home. Will he give up everything to be with the woman he has fallen in love with?
Great characters, story flows smoothly and a couple of sexy scenes. Action, mystery and really bad guys. Will keep you on the edge of your seat.

Really Enjoyed!
Brock Hamilton and Victoria Gomez, what a pair! This was an exceptional story! I had been waiting for their story and it did not disappoint at all. There was heat, danger, sadness, intrigue and tons of humor as well. I love the humor in it. I still wanted to see the wrestling in the ring and the guys in fights with their women cheering them on. Now, I look forward to Gage and Oceane's story, though I can't figure out now what the threat will be. I hope their story comes out soon.

She incorporates them, which is brilliant. We have characters from the Colebrooks, Valkeries, DEA Fast, etc. In Fast Vengeance, I kind of feel everything was resolved except for Gage and Oceanea. This time around there were grammatical errors, which I had not seen in the other stories. This is why I could not give it five stars. I hope Gate's story comes out soon. I am behind on some of the other series.

I enjoy Brock and Victoria story. They had been through a lot, especially Victoria. Escaped from captivity from the notorious cartel and still could live to nail them to jail. Brock stand with her with her every journey.
They formed a strong bond.
The actions and suspense are brilliant too. I suspect that El Scorpion is not who the world thinks he is.
But still, I couldn't enjoy Oceane. She is as much as a victim like Victoria, but IMO she is damsel in distress type of woman. How could she never curious or asking questions about her father's business. Just because he showered you with money doesn't mean you have to close your eyes about your surroundings. And she never tries to be a strong woman. Always blaming her ignorance and shouting I don't know anything about my father SMH.
It would be a solid 4 stars if this is about Brock and Victoria only.
The flashbacks about Anya are everywhere. It could be trimmed down a bit and nothing would change the storyline that much.
P.S : the bad guy's POVs are too many to my liking

I miss reading romantic suspense, so I decided to pick up this one (it's been way overdue as well!) and finished it in one sitting. What happened to Victoria was horrible and basically the worst thing that could happen to anyone. She was so strong to be able to pick up the pieces and move on, and I admire her grit and determination to move forward. Her relationship with Brock is my favourite thing about this book. It started slow--they were friends first, and the romance developed from there. I cheered when they finally got together, and then I felt sad because they had to part ways after. The pining was so good, though.
I also love the side plot of Gabe and Oceane, as well as the interactions between the members of the FAST Bravo team. I'm such a sucker for good banter, camaraderie and friendship. Luckily I still have books left in the series to read, so I can't wait to dive in!

DEA Fast Bravo series is a good romantic-suspense series and this is the 7th book of the series. The team is a close brotherhood and is a large part of the success of the series. Victoria Rodriguez, a former investigator reporter had been through hell and back. She was held prisoner by the Veneno cartel, she was abused, tortured and suffered a great loss when her entire family was murdered in front her. But she no longer wants to be a victim, and wants to work with the team to bring down the Veneno cartel. Victoria and Brock are both survivors of horrible events and are drawn to each other. Brock will do any thing to protect Victoria, even though he knows she'll soon have to go into WITSEC and he will never see her again. As with all of Cross's books, the characters are well developed and intense, and the story moves along quickly. My only complaint would be the "love at first sight" storyline appears too frequently in Cross's stories, but it was enjoyable non-the-less.

Kaylea Cross has covers many difficult topics and woman fears in her different series. This one is no different.
Victoria Gomez past is any woman's greatest fear and yet she survives because of FAST Bravo team leader Brock Hamilton.
While with man of Kaylea Cross books they are heave on the romance and light on the story this time she is able to bring a more blended story and balanced story.
If you are a far of the Kaylea Cross this is a can't be missed book. While Each book can be a stand alone novel I would suggest for readers to start with the first book you meet Victoria Gomez to better understand her back story and her fight.

Another wonderfully adventurous FAST novel from Ms Cross. The action packed and heart tugging story-line is fast paced and pulls the reader through the intrigue and emotion until you need to turn the pages – as though your life depends on continuing.
Anyone familiar with Ms Cross’ work will be familiar with her amazing creativity and this book is as expected. Superiorly written characters are supported through a detailed and, clearly, thoroughly researched backdrop. I would suggest the book is read as part of the series, as references are made that refer to earlier books, however it is a definite must read for anyone who reads from the wide variety of genres touched upon – including; romance, intrigue, adventure…

Fast Vengeance
This was an amazing addition to the DEA FAST series of books with non- stop action, suspense, and plenty of hot romance. Brock Hamilton, from the FAST team that rescued Victoria from the cartel animals that had held her captive while torturing her and raping her repeatedly by the end of the story healed each other since they would both be survivors. She was helping the FAST team locate the cartel leaders that remained when they kidnapped Brock to use as bait in exchange for Oceane by her ruthless cartel father, Nieto. This made for an exciting story as they plotted to rescue Brock from this maniacs hands. Oceane was so brave risking her life to save Brock's by confronting her father and his bodyguard, David while hoping they capture him. It was fantastic how Brock and Tori got their happily ever after while healing from their terrible similar ordeals at the hands of these animals. Gabe from the FAST team and Oceane also found true love in the end. This was just a fantastic book and series and I am looking forward to the next release.

She was helping the FAST team locate the cartel leaders that remained when they kidnapped Brock to use as bait in exchange for Oceane by her ruthless cartel father, Nieto. This made for an exciting story as they plotted to rescue Brock from this maniacs hands. Oceane was so brave risking her life to save Brock's by confronting her father and his bodyguard, David while hoping they capture him. It was fantastic how Brock and Tori got their happily ever after while healing from their terrible similar ordeals at the hands of these animals. Gabe from the FAST team and Oceane also found true love in the end. This was just a fantastic book and series and I am looking forward to the next release.

Wow ,Such a Good story. I volunteered to read and review an advanced readers copy of Fast Vengeance by Kaylea Cross. I have to say what a fantastic story from start to finish. Such suspense, it has you on the very edge of your seat. Action packed makes your heart beat alittle faster and gets your blood pumping faster. Great characters, from strong alpha hero's like Brock and Gabe , to strong women like Victoria and Oceane .Your heart will just break for Oceane and especially for Victoria but the strength they show and how they overcome the horrors that befell them . This story is so we'll written it makes you feel like you are right there with everyone. I highly recommend reading this story . A must read.

I picked this up on a whim and even though it is #7 in the series, it absolutely stands alone! I haven't read the previous 6 stories and wasn't lost at all, although I'm sure I would probably have appreciated it even more had I started from the beginning of the series. The action starts right from the beginning with an intense prequel. It is hard not to admire a character like Victoria--she has been through so much and is now stronger than ever. Brock is definitely a swoon-worthy hero. I loved how he handled Victoria and her proposition, and I loved him even more by the end of the book. The subplot with Gage and Oceane was an added bonus! This is a fast-paced, high-energy story that I just couldn't put down. 4.5 stars!

I have read numerous books by this author-she doesn't disappoint. As usual, this book starts out heavy and suspenseful-something the author does incredibly well. It pulled me in from page 1--after all, what is more compelling than vengeful bad guys from a Mexican cartel? I appreciated the bond that our H & h formed. Victoria's experience was heart wrenching and I can imagine that building trust and recovering from such an event would be a life-long challenge. The author did an excellent job with the subject matter and character development. I love this author and the great, suspenseful stories she tells. Can't wait for the next one!

There is not much that can I can say that hasn't already been said. "Fast Vengeance" is a phenomenal read with many returning characters, but this is Brock and Victoria's story. There are so many great adjectives to describe the drama, action, and romance in their story, but no matter if this is your first read in the series or you have read them all, open to page one, and it will be hard to put down until the very last page is read. Each story is a standalone read and can be read that way, but be forewarned, it will draw you in and if you have not read them all, you will want to go back and do so. A fantastic read, I received a copy of "Fast Vengeance" from NetGalley and leave my review based on my reading. 5 Stars!

Another thrilling DEA FAST story with some really exciting twists and turns, I had to wonder at one point if any bad guys were going to survive for then next story they all seemed to be dropping like flies but as usual Kaylea Cross had something exciting up her sleeve.
I really love this series and getting to know all the guy's on the teams and then meeting there women and even though we initially met Brock and Victoria a few stories ago this really was their story and it was well worth the read I just loved it now I'm hanging out For Gabe and Oceane's story it's going to be very interesting I just know something big is going to happen and I can't wait.

Brock Hamilton aka Cap and Victoria Gomez met when he reached her from drug cartel. She was in bad shape but they formed a bond but because of her mental state he never took it farther. Until one day like months later she was worried she would never be whole again and because she trusted Brock she wanted to try sex with him. He was shocked but said yes because he wanted more. WOW! Kaylea did it again! This book will keep you on the edge of your seat, especially towards the end where all hell breaks loose. Brock and Victoria are made for each other. Brock has the patience of a saint when he meets Victoria again. We also see the budding romance of Gabe and Oceane. Now that the majority of the evil men have been eliminated, both Oceane and Victoria were released from WITSEC to lead their own lives. I am happy Brock finally got his happily ever after with Victoria. Same goes with Gabe - he found his happily ever after with Oceane. FANTASTIC job Kaylea! I would highly recommend this book.
