Billy and Dale Coleman were twenty year old twin brothers, who married twin sisters; eighteen year old Billie and Bonnie McKinnon. These families owned neighboring ranches thirteen miles northeast of Flagstaff, Arizona. Beautiful meandering Walnut Creek was the boundary between these two properties. These brothers and sisters were married on the same day. Billy Coleman to Billie McKinnon, and Bonnie McKinnon, to Dale Coleman. Billy and Billie would live with her parents on the McKinnon ranch while Dale and Bonnie would be living on the Coleman ranch. Just over one short year later, tragedy struck. Billie and Bonnie’s father Harmon, was riding the northern high mountain meadows looking for stray cattle. Somehow he was thrown from his horse with his left foot getting hung in the stirrup. He was dragged to death and when found the horse was standing still, foot in the stirrup, body lying on the ground. Two weeks later, the very same thing happened to John, Billy and Dale’s father. What was so strange, both these men were excellent horsemen. They were born and raised on ranches and rode and broke horses all of their young lives. Yes, young, both were only forty five years old.
I can truthfully say that this series gets better and better. The more I read this series, the more impressed I become with Mr. Paul Thompson's writing abilities. I never contemplated being a writer cannot fathom how one person can be so productive with every book so descriptively exposed. Great job by the master author!
Most definitely a five star masterpiece. After fifty plus books of the same character and no two anywhere near alike. I, most definitely, enjoy each and every new character, as they continuously keep me in suspense with their irresponsible stupidity
I spent over thirty five years in law enforcement, and have seen so many of the same stupid mistakes, which definitely makes it easier to follow. The main difference are the dates and times, and of course the western folklore is more enhancing. Wonderful storylines and entertaining characters, which, most definitely, sets Mr. Paul Thompson above many of the other great western authors.
Definitely recommend this series, and expect this story, to all you western folklore followers. Kept me glued to the story until the final exciting. Guys and gals do yourselves a favor and read this outstanding masterpiece right now.😂
U.S. MARSHAL SHORTY Thompson: Billie & Bonnie Coleman: Women to Deal With
As usual, MARSHAL SHORTY rides on a merry chase looking for crooked shysters looking to swindle cheat or steal all the natural beauty from the forests that surrounds Prescott. They might have done it too, if they hadn't gotten stupid and had the sheriff killed. Then, they got Super-sheriff, as a replacement, the man who couldn't be killed. MAYBE!! BRAVO!! BRAVO 👏👏👏 Great 👍 read!!
A Shorty Thompson Western (55)/Murder/Logging/A Crooked Banker
PLT has penned the 55th novel of the Shorty Thompson series. Which includes murder to obtain logging rights. Constant attacks on the two families until the two gathers are killed. Two men trying to control the land for profit for logging. A small range war turns into a large one. Two women and Shorty get on the trail of the bad guys. This is an excellent read for the genre.....DEHS
All that can be said is don't underestimate people. Because you may find out different and you'll have a "dirt blanket" to keep you warm for eternity. That's what those "Ponderosa Tree" lumber agents found out. You can't walk over people or bully them and think it's all right. Above all do not underestimate "WOMEN" because you will lose...ta ta ta and read and enjoy Shorty Thompson U.S.Marshal, and the twins Billy, Billie....
I enjoyed the excitement in this book. Paul has a great way of bringing unique plots, this is one. I have said in the past, if you like a Western Book, Paul it a top writer.
