Rescuing Rayne by Susan Stoker I read this book as a part of Protected by a Hero collection.
Rayne Jackson is a flight attendant on her way home from London when her flight is delayed then cancelled due to weather.
Keane "Ghost" Bryson a Delta Force Member is on his way home from an assignment.
Rayne and Ghost end up sitting side by side in the airport when their flight is cancelled. They decide to do the tourist thing and see London together.
The chemistry between these two is sizzling and I loved following along as their relationship fast became so much more than either had thought. One thing for sure Ghost has met his match in Rayne. Grab yourself a copy and enjoy the ride.
This book is filled with humor, danger, kidnapping and action on every page. I loved this book and am hoping Truck and Mary get their own book as well as Fletch and his tenant.
Black Dawn by Cristin Harber I read this book as a part of Protected by a Hero collection. This is my first time reading a book by Cristin Harber and I really enjoyed it. I must find time to read the other books in her Titan Series especially after reading this one.
Lexie Dare aka SilverChaos is a super genius computer geek in a two year relationship with a grade a no good alcoholic woman abuser as well as an animal abuser.
Parker Black is a super genius inactive Marine who would give anything to have Lexie. He knows she deserves so much more than she has and when he gets the opportunity to have her he has no plans to let her go.
The chemistry between Lexie and Parker is explosive. I loved that Parker is so alpha and would stop at nothing to protect his woman.
This book started out a little boring but as I got past that part I realized it was necessary to lay the groundwork for some of the excitement later on in the book especially at the end where the woman and animal abuser got his comeuppance from Parker. I loved the danger, intrigue, kidnapping, murder, escape and page turning action in this book.
The proposal and flight to Vegas was awesome, Lexie and Parker deserved no less. Their HEA was long awaited since they had pined for each other for years.
Issued to the Bride: One NAVY SEAL by Cora Seton I read this book as a part of Protected by a Hero collection.
Brian Lake, Navy SEAL, messed up one time on a mission and is sent to a task force manned by an Army General.
Cass Reed, is that same General's oldest daughter who is in charge of making sure her younger sisters are cared for and that the ranch is running as it should, but she messed up one time as well.
It was General Reed's job to direct a group of military misfits until which time they would be separated from the branch of service they came to him from therefore making it an honorable service hitch.
General Reed send one Brian Lake to his ranch in Chance Creek, Montana to repair the house and marry his oldest daughter.
Cass was having no part of a man her father sent to take the ranch away from her and her sisters and neither did she need a man to make repairs since she was perfectly capable of doing it herself. After all she had made the mistake of falling under the spell of the last overseer her father had sent and he had stolen them blind which she was still hiding from her father and sisters.
I love the fact that Cora has written into this series, some of the original Chance Creek characters as well as having this family include one person that was mentioned in her other series' as well as a landmark on the ranch itself.
This book is filled with family values, treachery, violence, drama, suspense, mystery and heart tugging love and ends with an HEA There were parts of the book that made me cry but it definitely held my attention from beginning to end. I have loved reading every one of Cora Seton's books and this one was no exception! I highly recommend Cora and any of her books. I look forward to the next book in this exciting series and gave this one 5 stars since I only found one disappointing part, and if you read it you will know that part as well.
Hot Rebel by Lynn Raye Harris I read this book as a part of Protected by a Hero collection.
I love this series. This book like all the others catches your attention from the beginning and holds it until the end. Victoria Royal and Nick 'Brandy' Brandon were competitors in sniper school and it doesn't seem much has changed when they meet again after 3 years.
Nick is as alpha as they come and the chemistry between he and Victoria is crackling hot.
This book is filled with action on every page as the HOT team goes to work trying to save Victoria's sister. When it comes to fighting terrorists this team is unbeatable.
Wyatt’s Stand by Kaylea Cross I read this book as a part of Protected by a Hero collection.
I love reading, it's my way of leaving my life and living in someone else's for just a little while. This is my first time reading a book by Kaylea Cross but definitely won't be my last. She's good! Austen Sloan a strong woman, firefighter looking for a new start after the death of her fiance who was also a firefighter, finds herself in a small town of Sugar Hollow and the owner of her dream house which is in need of lots of love which she plans to give it. Wyatt Colebrook, a Marine Vet struggling to keep his PTSD under control and live his life as normal as he can. An amputee living with the realization that it was his responsibility to to take care of the Marines in his command, including his MWD, Raider who was his full time, 24/7 companion. Grits, a 2 year old Cavalier King Spaniel, rescued and dumped on Wyatt by a long time friend against his better judgement. As Austen and Wyatt's relationship move on from working together on remodeling her dream house something puts her on edge when she is around two of the Vets he has hired to work with them. And Wyatt is getting text messages that are disturbing then the messages start to include Austen. The chemistry between Austen and Wyatt is off the charts and as they slowly move forward there are more disturbing goings on until it finally comes to a head one morning and the stalker is revealed with deadly intent on his part. This book caught my attention and held it through the Epilogue. It includes mystery, anger, murder and the love of family and friends so grab yourself a copy and enjoy.
Sweetest Surrender by Katie Reus I read this book as one of Protected by a Hero
I love reading, it's my relaxation and escape, allowing me to live in someone else's life for a while' This is my first time reading a book by Katie Reus but I will be seeking other books by her.
Angel Johnson/Flanagan is a server at the exclusive Cloud9 restaurant. She had been on the run for two years now from the man she was sure had killed her brother because he wasn't happy that she had turned down his proposal. And she has a mad crush on Vadim Sokolov who works in security at the hotel.
Vadim Sokolov is a private security consultant for Wyatt Christiansen, he's good with computers and he's got connections to unearth people's deepest, darkest secrets. And he has a mad crush on Angel Johnson/Flanagan.
When Vadim discovers Angel is in danger he will do anything and everything to protect her, even lying to her.
This book caught my attention immediately and held it to the last sentence of the Epilogue. As Angel and Vadim struggle to come to terms with the mutual attraction they have for each other the chemistry is sizzling but each is afraid the other doesn't feel the same.
This book is filled with everyday happenings but also mystery, suspense, drama, danger and every page is action packed
A Heroes Honor by Tessa Layne I read this book as a part of Protected by a Hero collection.
Books are my one great escape. A chance to live in someone else's life for a short time. This is my first time reading a book by Tessa Layne but definitely not my last. Elaine Ryder works at a food truck which was brought in by her employer after a tornado wrecked the town of Prairie, Kansas which included the diner. She has a secret that she has only shared with one person, Dottie her boss. She has a big crush on the Chief of Police and the zing that goes up her arm whenever he touches her has as she pours his coffee always leaves her swooning. But what would he want with a woman like her. Travis Kincaid is the Chief of Police and he has a big crush on Elaine Ryder, the waitress at the food truck that was brought in by Dottie after a tornado destroyed half the town of Prairie including her diner. He never gets tired of the zing that runs up his arm any time their fingers touch when she serves his coffee in fact he craves it. This book pulled me in and held my attention til the end. It is filled with so many feels and at times brought tears to my eyes. As Elaine and Travis struggle to keep their feelings for each other hidden, but the electricity is always there. Then without warning Travis' opponent in the County Sheriff's election pulls out the dirty tricks and exposes Elaine's secret thus driving a wedge between she and Travis. Will Elaine and Travis be able to overcome this obstacle and actually have the HEA that both think they are headed for. Grab yourself a copy of this book, buckle up and enjoy the ride because you will definitely enjoy this book.
Rescuing Rayne - Delta Force Heroes - Book 1 Susan Stoker
I love military heroes, and this one has them in full force. A brand new series with the crossover beginning in the last Seals of Protection book Protecting the Future. I absolutely loved the beginning of this book, the cancelled flight and then the tour of London. I swear I felt like I was touring with them.
The circumstances of their next meeting holds some very intense moments. I found myself holding my breath, and crying. I did get frustrated with Ghost's alpha male attitude at times, but then men can really be dumb asses sometimes. I couldn't put this book down, it kept me on my toes with every page turn. I did quite a bit of crying, both happy and sad. Better get some tissues.
Black Dawn -Titan Book 8 Cristin Harber
This book may contain triggers for anyone who has dealt with abuse specifically alcoholism, mental and physical.
That said, I loved the realism of this book. The very real trauma both mental and physical, and the way Lexi finally deals with it.
Parker is a dream come true, he's always felt something for Lexi and when he stumbles on what is really going on with her, well he's more than angry.
Unfortunately, Lexi doesn't get away until a bit later.
What these two don't know about each other only adds to the suspense and drama. The attraction intense and I give Parker a lot of credit for holding back and giving them time.
A page-turning read that had me up half the night to finish. I just had to know if everything worked out. I have also added the rest of this series to my wishlist.
Issued to the Bride One Navy SEAL - Brides of Chance Creek Book 1 Cora Seton
I have to admit when I read this title I was a little more than intrigued. After reading the blurb I was hooked. I've heard of manipulating fathers, but the General really takes the prize. Although he has his reasons for doing it and the timing is just about perfect.
Now the General's five daughters are not happy with him and this latest 'stunt' by him has them all fuming.
His initial meeting with Cass is not a very auspicious beginning, but right in line with what he was expecting. Now he has figure out some way to win her over.
Of course there has to be more than just fixing up the house, there are men involved with the other girls and they are trouble. Unfortunately they don't realize it and things get interesting really fast.
Fun, flirty, sexy and plenty of drama to keep you turning the pages. I have read the others in this series and I am waiting patiently for the next one coming in July.
HOT Rebel - Hostile Operations Team Book 6 Lynn Raye Harris
Again it seem I am starting series far away from the beginning, and loving it.
When Victoria shoots someone other than Nick's target, she sets off a series of events. Not all of which make her look good.
Then the powers that be decide it's a good idea if they all work together.
Suspense is rampant as they try to figure out who they can trust. Working together isn't easy and the attraction is intense.
A page turning read that has plenty of action, suspense and sizzle.
Wyatt's Stand - Colebrook Siblings Trilogy Book 2 Kaylea Cross
This book has so many things I love in it and of course it's not the first book in this series. First we have the rescued dog, Grits. He was kind of thrown at Wyatt by his friend Piper who decided he needed to have a dog. Not to replace Raider the Military Working Dog he lost, but to keep him company.
Then there's Austen, she and her late husband had renovated old houses to flip. Now with her husband gone, Austin needed a change so she went big. She left Pennsylvania and found a property she loves in Sugar Hollow. A Victorian desperately in need of work, she purchased it outright.
Wyatt had been waiting for the Miller place to go on the market and he is devastated and angry when he finds it's been sold.
Renovating was hard work and Austen couldn't do everything. As she searched for contractors she got more and more frustrated. Finally she did what she needed to do and called Wyatt. I loved the dynamic between these two and the heat that developed the more they worked together. However, there was a threat looming from messages Wyatt was getting.
I fell in love with Grits and did a bit of sniffling as I read about Raider his MWD. There is plenty of suspense and a twist I didn't see coming as well.
I will definitely be getting the rest of this series.
Sweetest Surrender - The Serafina: Sin City Series Book 3 Katie Reus
Sigh, yet another middle of the series, but I do appreciate it's a stand alone. I don't have to go back to follow the story but I probably will, since I am now hooked on these characters. Angel is a waitress at a Casino in Los Vegas. Liking that 'What happens in Vegas, Stays in Vegas' is conducive to hiding. Something she's been doing for the last two years.
After sort of being busted for stealing food, she is confronted by Vadim one of the Casino's computer specialists, Vadim. Now Vadim didn't just call her, he broke into her apartment while she was in it. He convinces her she hadn't lost her job, and he came to ask a favor. Housesit and take care of his dog Charlie while he's away on business.
After a soul searing kiss interrupted by Charlie, Vadim turns cold, leaving her bewildered. While he is gone the reason she is hiding rears it's ugly head.
A lot of hot and cold, but I loved the way she stood up to Vadim's alpha high handedness. Although at times I thought she was quite naïve as to how things work in the world. When things got hotter, I was sure these two would melt my kindle.
I will definitely be getting the rest of this series, as I am very curious about all the others I met in this one.
A Hero's Honor: Resolution Ranch - Flint Hills Military Heroes Book 1 Tessa Layne
Woot, a first in series to hook me! Prairie, Kansas is rebuilding from a EF4 tornado. So much destruction and yet the town has come together to start the arduous process. Dottie's Diner now a pile of rubble has morphed into a food truck across from it's original location. A place for folks to gather and share news it's where we meet the main characters in this tale.
Chief Travis has a thing for Elaine, Dottie's waitress. Of course he'll never admit it, he has relationship rules, rules that his friend and deputy chief Weston thinks need to be broken. Weston also thinks Travis should run for sheriff which he eventually agrees to do.
Of course the way Travis announces he's running to his opponent Lawson, he pisses off Elaine in the process.
Even as Travis battles his feelings the sparks fly between him and Elaine. Her son Dex wins his heart as well as they work closely on the campaign.
Elaine does have a secret she's keeping from him though and it's one that could ruin his chances of winning.
Lots of fun, plenty of drama and a finish that has me wanting more of all these characters.

I love all books from The Chance Creek serieses. My favorite so far was The Cowboys email Order Bride but now it is this book. I laughed ,I cried and I wanted to shake Cass.
Thank you Cora Seton for this wonderful wonderful book !! 5 Stars.
I had already read several of the books in this set. Knowing there was Cristin Harber, Cora Seton, and Lynn Raye Harris in it made this a no brainer one click for me. In reading it I have found some more great authors to enjoy. There is not one bad story in this set. I enjoyed them all. Susan Stoker kept me turning pages and wanting to read more from her. Cristin Harber never disappoints. I have read this story of hers so many times and I am looking forward to reading what she does next. Cora Seton has so many stories going in her Chance Creek town that you can't wait to read whatever she writes next. Lynn Raye Harris and her HOT men... Definitely a world to get lost in! Please, if you are looking for a way to get to know a new to you author, this is the one to do it with!
When I saw the names of some of my "immediate buy" authorsI knew I had to grav this book immediately. I was absolutely NOT disappointed and discovered some also wonderful new-to-me authors.
It took me a while to get through the entire book because, probably as the authors hoped, I would have to hunt down other books in the series by the author whose story I just finished. Which would lead me to other books they had written, often causing me to reread some of their books I already owned and had read. Each story caused this reaction not something I can always say about a collection like this. So thank you to the editor who was responsible for this collaboration too!
7 count them! Seven awesome stories by seven of the best authors for military action and loving adventure! A few of the authors I have read before but I am finding that I have fallen in love with all the other authors as I have finished this fantastic series and of course Cora Seton is my most favorite I just can’t get enough of these books and will be purchasing more from each of the authors!
Cora Seton's is the beginning of a great series about service men who had some difficulty in the service but for good causes. They go on to save the general's daughters and try to marry them for a part of the ranch. Great men who handle great danger in unique ways.
I can give this book 5 stars cause I’ve read all the stories. I’m sure I missed where they said previously published and didn’t look close enough to titles but they are all authors I read so just hit order. My bad will read better next time.
What a entertaining box set of adventures. Seven fantastic stories written by seven really talented authors. Amazing characters, lots of action, with intense suspense and happily ever after romances.
I purchased this book because I am a huge Cora Seton fan. I found that I also enjoyed the other authors as well. A great opportunity to explore New authors who will become favorites.
Great start to the Resolution Ranch Series. I love all these books and always feel like I'm looking in on old family friends when I start a new one!! Highly recommend all the books.
Each story is wonderfully written. The characters are very lifelike. The storylines are full of caring, action and romance. You can't beat this collection of stories, for such a wonderful cause. You'll love it and read over and over again.
Rescuing Rayne by Susan Stoker is the first book and a fairly good. The storyline was good and you can’t help but love Rayne and Gohst. The book repeated the same parts several times adding unnecessary pages to the book but a good read
Wow! Lots of testosterone and strong willed women in a good variety of stories that give hours of pleasure. Tissues needed here and there, well worth reading.
This is a great bargain bundle. I had already read two of the books. I stopped reading one of them because it mostly took place in a war zone. Those upset and depress me. Even when they are good.
Each book in this book set brought Hero's to the front, but each did it for different reasons, but never stood up and said look at me. Each showed strength & determination.
So many wonderful stories! If you love military Man and women this is the book for you. The authors make you feel like your there for the pain and heart ack. Five stars for Me ❤️📚
Very enjoyable book Very diverse stories based around the central theme Good main characters supported by interesting friends and sometimes very surprising villains. A good read
Some guy good stories. Stories of love, romance, some hot sex, and some danger. Soldiers, ex-soldiers, cops and hot women who need help. Highly recommend.
