That is how long it takes to known the female main character's name, in spite of the fact that the book is essentially all in her POV. I didn't find this cute, or suspenseful, it didn't make me want to keep reading, especially when you find out what her name is. Such a disappointment.
The book felt rushed. There is no big conflict, no climax, nothing to truly make this book stand out from the thousands of books that could have been written by inexperienced authors on KU. If you want a really well written book / series that has aliens, the kind of punishment this book attempted to have, and strong female characters, do yourself a favor and read Maddie Taylor's Primerian Mates.

Once again Kallista Dane has written an engaging sci-fi romance. After crash landing on an alien planet, Jane must agree to mate with the Prince and produce an heir in order to save the lives of the rest of her crew. Knowing she really can't sacrifice the lives of her crew, she agrees. Just one other problem, the Prince isn't on board with the plan any more than she is.
Plenty of steamy scenes and great world-building as Jane and her alien "Tarzan" fulfill the terms of her agreement with the King.

This was my first book to read by this author and I really liked it a lot. It took me a bit to warm up to both Jalen and Jane but once I did, I enjoyed the story. Both are stubborn and both don't want to give in to their feelings for each other but once they do, it's awesome. I look forward to reading more books by this author.

Crash landing on an alien planet is a terrifying experience. At first glance, Naxos appears a lush, beautiful Eden. Is it? As the Commander takes off to find help, what she finds amazes her. The most exotic, colorful, and delightful monkey-like creatures she's ever seen appear before her out of nowhere. Only...are these creatures REALLY doing what it looks like? Yep! Seems they're obsessed with...making love! Ever curious, the Commander creeps closer. In the process, she lands in the middle of the biggest trouble of her life. She's not just infuriated these beautiful creatures. Unknowingly, she's broken Naxos' most inviolable law. As she runs to escape, she crashes headlong into a gorgeous brick wall of a man. I loved the entire premise of this book. The Commander is an overzealous hard ass who's spent her life competing against everyone and everything. She's incapable of doing anything by halves. Pushed and pulled by forces she can't understand, she's belligerent, over confident, snide, and rude. But she has an abiding sense of love and caring buried deep beneath her prickly exterior. Her crew means more to her than her own personal safety and dignity which shows just how much she's willing to sacrifice. She's ready to take the most humiliating punishments for the people she loves. Jalen's an intriguing contradiction in terms. He has so many facets and secrets. He buries his physical longings, his emotions, his pain. He refuses to see what's right in front of him. He constantly puts himself in harm's way. He seems to have given up on living long ago. But has he really? These two are about as contradictory as two people can be. The suspense is unending. I never knew who was going to do what, their motivations, and what the end game was. As with all Ms. Dane's books, the supporting characters are enchanting. Devan is as devious as they come. Crino is so entrenched in Naxian tradition he can't see the forest for the trees. I loved Aya and the other temple maidens. And Lando is a delightfully unexpected character, full of charm and wit. One thing you may have noticed is I never mentioned the Commander's name. Why? There's a good reason, but you'll have to read the book to find out. I truly loved this story. Congratulations, Ms. Dane! You've written yet another five-star winner!
One final note. Be an informed reader! This is an ADULT book. It contains explicit language and sexual scenes. If you don't enjoy this genre, this may not be the book for you. There are book synopses and reviews available on Goodreads and Amazon. Use these resources. DON'T LEAVE A NEGATIVE REVIEW WHEN YOU KNOW YOU WON'T ENJOY THE BOOK. It's not fair to the author. Her Savage Mate is a stand-alone sci-fi romance. Jane and her crew has crash landed on a new planet that’s absolutely beautiful, but after stealing forbidden fruit, she’s now forced to make a choice. Mate with the prince or her and her entire crew will face death. Jalen, the prince, is not happy about this decree either and soon it becomes a battle of the wills. He may dominate her body, but she refuses to beg or give up her independent nature. In a society where all females must submit to all males, Jane needs to balance her needs with her strength, all in hopes of finding happiness and maybe even love.
I really enjoyed reading this book, with the clash of the cultures to the steamy scenes and finding mutual respect and everything in between! I loved Ms. Dane’s imagination with this book, between the shimba, the description of the flowers, and even some of Jalen’s punishments, this book almost became not just a reading experience, but a full sensory experience! Jane was so brave, deciding to become a mate to someone she didn’t know, knowing she might not love the rest of her life, but she took it all in stride the best that she could. Jalen was just as stubborn and strong as Jane, but I loved reading about his growing respect and trust of Jane while his love grew for her as well! I really enjoyed reading this book and would recommend it to anyone who loves their sci-fi romances with a side of discipline!

I liked the book📑, but it's long on the sex, the head game playing, and angst aspect and a bit short on alien adventure. The book📑 is a stand alone read, and is probably the beginning of a series.

I have come to look forward too Ms Dane's Sci-fi books,they never fail to be entertaining and fulfilling.
It was refreshing living this journey through Jane, who had up until crashing onto the planet Naxos,did
not have a submissive bone in her body.As the Commander of the ship that crashed,Jane is responsible
for the safety of her all female crew.Out exploring,Jane is surrounded by a beautiful jungle with its unusual occupants.Jane is caught stealing the forbidden fruits by one gorgeous, specimen of a man.
Jane must mate with Jalen,this will protect her crew.Neither of them were happy with the decree and fought their ever increasing attraction for each other.Jane always felt in control but now she longed for
his touch.Jalen has suffered tragedy in his life before and is not ready to open his heart once more.
Submission did not come easily for Jane as expected from the women on Naxos.She was defiant,sassy and disrespectful,resulting in painful lessons over Jalen's knees.Jalen fought his growing attraction and
kept pulling away from Jane, but fate stepped in and she became his wildcat while Jalen was her Tarzan.
The vibrant characters,vivid descriptions and attention to detail kept me captivated until the last page,
it's is full of heartfelt emotions, leading to a heart warming conclusion.

This story was originally part of the Alien Alpha's Anthology set, but more has been added and updated to make it a full novel.
A new and alien version of Tarzan and Jane, with lots of steam and spanking thrown in!!
Jane and her 7 female crew members crash land on a planet. While she is walking around looking for food she takes some fruit from what look to be monkeys, but these turn out to be sacred and she is found with them by a tall, handsome, bronze God of an alien and taken to the High Priest for punishment. He decides after looking at her that if she mates with their Prince and produces an heir he will let her ship mates leave. The Prince, Jalen, turns out to be the bronze God Alien who turned her in!! Neither like the position they are in, both are stubborn and push each others buttons to see how far they can get. Woman on this plant are subservient to their males, Jane is anything but, she is feisty and sassy and won't do as she's told, yet finds herself yielding to Jalen and his dominant nature and his correctional behavior spanking, but can they get along enough to mate properly!!
This was a fun and entertaining read, lots of steam, spankings and sexiness!! Well worth the read.

Oh, I love Kallista Dane. Her books are usually really hot and sexy. This one is no different, but it has a hefty dose of humor in it too, which I always appreciate. When you read it, you'll see what I mean. It's a lot of fun, a little adventure, a lot sexy, and altogether epic af.
Jane's ship crashes into a jungle. When she goes out looking for food and help, she finds some fruit that some monkeys are eating and decides to take it back to her ship and crew. That's when Tarzan shows up and drags her off to his high priest. His high priest gives her a deal, marry the prince or die slowly. She figures the prince isn't a fate worse than death and decides to marry him. That's when Jane finds out that her Tarzan is actually Jalen, the prince that she's supposed to marry.
Jane and Jalen together are pretty epic. They are both seriously stubborn and both seriously proud. Neither one of them wants to buckle to the other, and so they each try to outdo each other stubborn wise. It's fun to watch and funny to watch. I loved this story.

After crashing spaceship on alien planet from damage going through asteroid field, Jane and crew found themselves on Naxia. The Tarzan-like man who found her wandering on the planet was over 7 feet tall. He and she were able to understand each other because of a translation device implanted in her. He told her she had trespassed in a sacred area and eaten some forbidden fruit so would need to be punished. She was taken to the high priest and advised that if she didn't become the mate for the Prince and produce an heir, her crew would die. She agreed but was not above seeing if she could change their minds on how women treated there. Jalen, the Prince called her a tamina which was a native wild-cat type creature, but never asked Jane her name...but did demand complete obedience from her or she would be spanked, wear a butt-plug with a tail and come to him naked....but you will have to read the story to see what happens...

I enjoyed this book even though I thought the spanking/discipline went overboard. But I know readers like books like this. So, this is a book for them. First off "her" and her shipmates have crashed landed on an alien planet. She goes off to find food when she comes upon this monkey-like creature. And the rest, as they say, is history.
I know some reviewers that would give a low review because they didn't like the bedroom "play" but that is the type of book that was written. I read the reviews knew what I was getting in ( and knew I didn't like books like this ) but I'm still giving 5 stars. Because the book is THAT GOOD!

I received a copy of Her Savage Mate as an ARC and have to say, it was my favorite story so far
This one has our heroine crash landing on an alien planet and meeting one of the inhabitants. Her act of stealing the sacred fruit leads her to being taken to the leader and sentenced to.... marriage to the prince and future king! What a punishment, amiright?
The prince is not exactly the nicest guy around and some of their interactions are emotional for me. I felt sad that they were not getting along and weren’t happy.
Luckily this is a short, steamy story so everything works out just fine.
I would definitely recommend this story to anyone with a couple hours to kill and enjoys alien romance with a touch of weird and also steaminess
This one has our heroine crash landing on an alien planet and meeting one of the inhabitants. Her act of stealing the sacred fruit leads her to being taken to the leader and sentenced to.... marriage to the prince and future king! What a punishment, amiright?
The prince is not exactly the nicest guy around and some of their interactions are emotional for me. I felt sad that they were not getting along and weren’t happy.
Luckily this is a short, steamy story so everything works out just fine.
I would definitely recommend this story to anyone with a couple hours to kill and enjoys alien romance with a touch of weird and also steaminess

I loved reading this story, it first came out in a boxed set of Alien Alphas and i must say Kallista has done an excellent job of making it into a longer story
I had to give a small chuckle at the beginging of the story, animals like monkey open up the scene, and then we get references to Tarzen and Jane i loved it.
But honestly if you have read any of Kallistas books before you will certainly love this, its entertaining and the two main characters certainly make you want to keep reading.
I have tried not to give any spoilers in this as it really is another great book definately worth 5 stars

What a hot read this book was, crash landing on an alien planet at night then getting lost in the jungle and the stumbling on what seems to be some type of monkey having a wild time with each other and eating some kind of fruit and she was hungry she picked one and ate it it was delicious and that’s where the trouble started she gets heard and the monkeys go off so she backs away only to run into a seven foot tall hot as alien what’s a girl to do now. She taken to there leader and told she must mate with the prince and breed or her crew will be killed and as a good captain she agrees. What happens now you have got to read this book I loved it.

Jalen comes across an alien female after she had stolen the sacred rana fruit. As punishment and in exchange in helping to repair her spaceship she is made to mate the Prince. Resentful that his father has forced this mating on him, and suffering the loss of his first mate Jalen tries to keep emotion out of their joining. While Jane has issues with the way women are treated on Naxos, though she comes to love being dominated by Jalen. They each come to realize that though they fought it love grew from their forced mating.

I don't do spoilers which makes this hard to review without giving anything away. I kinda of had a love hate relationship with both Jalen and Jane. Both were strong will and intelligent and Jane loved to antagonize Jalen just to get him to react. Well actually they like to antagonize each other. Overall enjoyable and entertaining read with plenty of heat, humor, to keep you interested from beginning to end. Her savage mate really is savage ... in the bedroom. Wow-Wee !! Jane, our reseacher and Captain, lands herself in a spot of trouble when she and her crew have to crash land on an unexplored planet, Naxos. Caught eating their sacred fruit, she is forced to monkey around with Jalen, the crowned prince. What they don't expect to happen is their relationship growing into love. Who would of thunk it ?? Definately not these two. Ms. Kallista is a great writer and you'll enjoy her trips into space. There are others you know.

Her Savage Mate by Kallista Dane is absolutely amazing. But then again every book that I’ve read by her has been awesome.
So if you haven’t read any of Kallista Dane’s work well then get busy because I can guarantee you won’t be disappointed in your choice to try her books!
So yes if you haven’t figured it out that is a big HECK YES I recommend this book for anyone who’s looking for a awesome book to get lost in.

I love Ms. Dane’s work. She is fast becoming my go to author when I want an escape and read a lighthearted steamy read. The opening scene in the book is priceless!!! Jalen and Jane have some undeniable chemistry between them if they would both quit being stubborn. I love the witty comebacks Jane has always available to her in response to Jalen. Will either of them give in to the chemistry between them or will they keep being stubborn and push each other away?

This was a sensually beautifully written story. The tale of Jalen and His Alien Human AKA Tarzan and Jane, was grand enough to make me want more of the story. Their adventur to love will be embraced and as emlightening as a touch. A great story of fierce love and find your way to it. A grand story to behold and highly recommended.

Hotness Tarzan
I can't imagine how hard it must have been for Jane crash landing on the alien planet. It really didn't help that females are subservient in their culture. Jalen, aka Tarzan, didn't make anything easier or less emotional for her. The way these two butt heads together is amazing, even if I found his high handed ways a little much. Interesting new world to read about here!

Jalen finds a human female eating the rana fruit that is really an aphrodisiac guarded by "monkeys" as the human thinks of them. Jalen brings her to the King and the female has to mate with the Prince to help their future generation and in return, save her crew that crashed on Naxos with her. Jalen is the Prince she must mate with! The matings and her situation with Jalen prove to be very interesting and the couple do learn to appreciate each other. Love blooms and new the couple get their HEA.

Kallista Dane knows how to write a steamy and sexy love scene, whew, I had to put my fan on to cool me off! Highly recommend for the sexiness, passion and romance. The supporting characters were excellent and added a lot to the story.

Janes ship crashes on an alien planet. When she takes fruit that is sacred she is forced to mate with the prince and he will in turn help repair her ship. Neither Jane, Nor Jalen want the forced mating but, they have a connection. If they could only stop baiting each other long enough to find out. This is one hot, steamy read and i would definitely recommend it.

A thoroughly enjoyable read. Her world building was phenomenal and her heroine was so sassy.

Jane is shipwrecked on an alien planet. She is found eating sacred fruit, the rana fruit by the crown price, Jalen. Her punishment is to mate with the prince or be killed. So she does. Eventually they fall in love and have babies.
This book was ehhh. I kept reading out of obligation to read the book. The sex was steamy, but the rest of the story was ehhh.

Sweet Sexy romance with a lot of heat, an alien Tarzan look a like, naughty spankings and a lot of steamy sex. But this still retains a great humor and spiciness that is interesting and keeps the pages turning. You might need a cold shower after reading this book. This is a shorter novella.

Wonderful story. No spoilers. He is a very hot alpha female and she is a feisty female. As you can guess. Lots of emotion, fun, and hot steamy scenes. Very well written and well worth getting. I highly recommend it. I was given a review copy and voluntarily review it.
