30 men. 1 woman. I know how it sounds… dirty. Except it’s just the premise for a new reality show, Matchmaker, where I’m supposed to find love on TV. Thirty sexy eligible bachelors are competing for my hand, trying to prove their love for me in front of millions of people. I know most are fake and only here to advance their careers, but there are two who draw me to them like a moth to a flame. One is blond and blue-eyed, with a chiseled body and a prowling natural grace. And while he might seem a little rough around the edges, with me, he’s kind and genuine. The other is passionate, driven, and totally focused on me–everything a woman could want. I feel so torn. Do I choose the one I’m falling in love with, or can I be happy settling for the safe bet? That should be an easy question. If I were a bystander sitting at home, I know what my answer would be. But I’m scared. He could destroy me, burn me to ash with his fire. And if I’m wrong about him, I don’t know if I’ll ever recover… Matchmaker is a full-length Sexy Romantic Comedy with an HEA, no cheating, and no cliffhanger!

Emily loves reality shows. When a reality show is looking for new contestants, Emily decides to apply for it. She’s shocked that she gets accepted and she’s even more shocked that the show is actually something like the Bachelor. It’s all about having a love connection. Emily will get to choose one man out of 30 men. It’s not what she had in mind, but she goes for it.

Hayden is a model, but after leaving frustrated another photographer, Hayden has enough for a while. His agent suggests applying for a reality show about love connection. Hayden is hesitant, but then he sees that he has to win over Emily’s heart. He’s attracted to her. Hayden will become one of the 30 men. He and Emily immediately connect, now he just needs to win.

Hayden and Emily are great characters. Emily loves her job as a nanny and she loves children. She’s a big dream to help children. She’s sweet and caring. Emily likes Hayden from the start. She wants to know him better and she loves what she learns about him. Hayden is charming, gorgeous and determined. He wants Emily and he fights for her.

I love the cover and the secondary characters. I can’t wait to read McKayla’s story. I also loved it that this book is about a reality show: the dates, behind the scenes, the manipulation and the men. It was believable. Just a little warning, Emily does kiss with other men than Hayden. The boss of the show instructs her to do and Emily has to listen, because she signed some documents. I didn’t mind it, because she doesn’t feel anything when she kiss someone else and it’s all for the show.

Even though I am not a big fan of reality TV shows, I really enjoyed this latest novel by Lauren Landish. When Emily sends in an audition tape for a reality show, she has no idea even what type of show she is applying for. So when she ends up having 30 men all looking to be her match, she is definitely overwhelmed. But then she also has to contend with the producers having their own idea of how the show should play out. This was a fun contemporary romance that tries to give an inside look at just how the reality shows operate and how they are definitely not reality.

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this novel.

Emily is offered the chance of a lifetime on a new television show called Matchmaker where she will meet 30 suitors who are all vying for a chance to be her match. Among these men is Hayden a model who finds himself drawn to Emily. The two of them sneak around but are also manipulated throughout the show. Will true love win out or will they both end up heartbroken.

I'm not really a fan of reality television shows such as Bachelor and Bachelorette but I found this book adorable. The chemistry on Hayden's end is instantaneous and Emily is soon to follow. I really didn't like Lee and I wish Emily would have discovered him earlier but loved how it played out for him in the end. McKayla and Brad were good friends to Emily and were hilarious and supportive.

Hidden Gems ARc review
I really liked the story of Emily and Hayden. They both find themselves on caught in the middle of a reality TV show. There is a TV contest where Emily must choose her perfect match. But from the moment they make eye contact Hayden and Emily are attracted to each other. Will the y give in and risk their reputations on love or will they play out for the show? With a cast of characters that will make you laugh and melt your heart, we watch Emily and Hayden fall in love and beat the odds. Of course, there is drama and a little anxiety prior to a HEA. Another good read from this author.

Matchmaker by Lauren Landish is a stand-alone read and what a read. Matchmaker is the first book in a brand new series yet is a standalone read. Emily has popped up in some other Lauren Landish reads but she is the heroine, the main character in this book. This story takes place on a Bachelor like tv show- 30 men and 1 girl- a game show-meets-love connection-type reality tv show . Emily Emily is a sweet, down to earth woman who didn’t sign up looking to find love but once everything gets going, she is open to finding love then. In her real life, she is a nanny to some of the cutest kids but she dreams about becoming a teacher and she is studying to that goal. Hayden is one of the 30 men on that show and they have chemistry-- he was once the golden boy - he had the smarts, looks, skills to really go pro with baseball - but a huge crushing injury ended up sending him on a detour and he is a model , and it pays his bills. Hayden wasn't expecting to have such a connection with Emily and boy the chemistry sizzles between them. Emily is the type of woman he sees himself falling in love with—sweet, kind, funny, sexy, intelligent—she is his ideal perfect match. If only he could get her to see this and believe in him. But with money hungry, rating greedy producers and one villain on the loose, can Hayden prove his love to Emily or will she choose Mr Wrong? This is one wild ride with twists and turns that made this a perfect read.

A story with reality show implications isn't always my go-to kind of book, BUT when Lauren writes a book I grab it up and read it. This book is another wonderful read by her. Emily and Hayden are a great set of characters and of course, we have the sleazy one. Brad and McKayla are the best, I loved them. This is a great story.

Matchmaker by Lauren Landish a matching five-star read. This is a stand-alone read and what a read, Emily has popped up in some other Lauren Landish reads, but she really comes into her own here, we get to see the woman that she is not just the nanny that she day by day. 30 men and 1 girl, those sound like my type of odds. Reality TV watcher turned reality TV contestant, Emily becomes the star of The Matchmaker. Some men stand out of their dates more than others and some men are just in it for the fame. During the contest they get whittled down, but will Emily make the right decision in the end? Will she follow her heart? Or will she follow the lead? I know I had my favourite all along, and I’m sure you will have yours as well. This is a great read, and you need some Lauren Landish in your life.

Matchmaker by Lauren Landish is the first book in a brandnew series. Matchmaker is a full-length standalone romance novel.
Emily is main character in Matchmaker, a game show-meets-love connection-type reality tv show.
30 men want to be her match, but only one man will win her heart. She has to pick from all the eligible bachelors, most are fake, but two seem to capture her.
One blonde, kind and genuine and the other is driven, passionate and focused on Emily. Who will it be? The one she´s falling in love with or does she play it safe.
This book contains hot sex scenes, big emotions, shallow people and Emily´s great love, her soulmate.
I greatly enjoyed reading Matchmaker. And now I can´t wait to read McKayla and Harley´s book.
I give 5 stars. Thank you, Lauren Landish !

Like usual, a great read by Ms. Landish! I love her romantic comedies so much because you’ll laugh, get a little too hot 😜 and they’ll hit you right in the feels.
I want to explain the 4 stars. While I loved this one, it didn’t involve past characters from the other books like she did previously. I loved in the older books, how intertwined the characters were. This book was pretty much set in reality tv world. I just wish it had a little more interaction with the past characters that, if you’ve read the others in the series (you NEED to if you haven’t), love and want to know what’s new with them.
All that aside, it was still a fantastic book and you will definitely fall in love with Hayden and Emily!!

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book. Unlike the other stories that preceded this one, it took me a very long time to read this story. I’m not into Reality TV and Bachelor/Bachelorette-type shows are not my thing. Reading this was much how the one episode of I did watch played out I just couldn’t do it. I love Lauren Landish’s stories and her characters are hilarious in the way that they relate to each other but there seemed to be more of that between the make-up guy and the hairdresser than there was between the romantic interests. For me, it didn’t start to pick up and feel like one of the other stories in the series until it was practically at the end. Now that I’ve finally finished it, I can go on to the next stories.

I loved reading about Emily in Mr. Fix it and was so excited to see she would get her own story. Her story was so fun and Hayden was absolutely swoon worthy. The chemistry between them was off the charts! I also love how we got a peak at past characters from this series and some new ones we will hopefully see more of. I would definitely recommend this book and I think it will be especially fun for fans of the bachelorette or any reality tv series. I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Emily and Hayden are navigating the murky waters of Hollywood to find love in the most unlikely of places a Reality Dating Show - and they are in for a roller-coaster ride full of laughs, intrigue, and sexy fun. Emily is a sweet girl next door that loves her job as a nanny to the cutest kids on the planet while she studies for her dream of becoming a teacher. When she sees an ad at the end of a show promising adventure and fun - she figures what the hay, she could use a little levity in her life and applies. She never though that they would pick her and she certainly never thought it would be for a dating show... She will be piece de resistance surrounded by 30 men all "looking for love". She just now needs to parse out the fame seeks from those truly looking for love... Hayden was the golden boy once - he had the smarts, looks, and most of all the skills to really go pro with baseball - but one crushing injury created a detour and now he finds himself modeling of all things. While not exactly how he saw himself paying the bills, it’s not terrible and he seems to be pulling it off. When his agent gets him a "part" on a reality dating show he is all set to say thank but no thanks until he sees the girl... she is quite frankly gorgeous and he is willing to take a shot at winning her hand. Hayden wasn't expecting to have such an instance connection with Emily - she is not only beautiful but genuinely nice, funny, and the type of girl he could really see himself falling for. Now he just needs to convince her that he would be her ideal match. But with conniving producers and a snake in the grass competitor he will have his work cut out for him. Light Camera Love!

I am voluntarily reviewing this arc.

Match Maker is a book basically following a girl on a reality dating show. It was like watching The Bachelor, except you are behind the scenes and basically living it. I didn’t think I would like this kind of romance but I was wrong. Match Maker was a sweet love story with traces of total mind games. The mind games I could have done without, but it didn’t ruin the book for me.
If you’re a fan of The Bachelor, you’ll adore this book!

I read an ARC copy of this.

I enjoyed this book very much. It doesn't surprise me because I enjoyed the other book that I read by her too. If you like shows like The Bachelor then you will enjoy this story. The nice thing about this story was that out of all the guys on the show there was really only one that I hated. Thankfully he got what was coming to him. I loved how Emily had met some cool people behind the scenes. They were really able to help keep her cool. I can't even imagine being on a show like that. Thankfully she got her happily ever after so all the drama was worth it in the end.

This series of stand alones are a great mix of humor, heat, and sweet. I loved Hayden and Emily's story.

First of all, the fact that it takes place on a show like The Bachelor? Yay! I admit a bit of an obsession with those shows. I argue with my hubby all the time about whether it's real.

Emily is just a sweet, down to Earth girl. Sure, she doesn't sign up originally looking for love but she's totally into it once it gets going.

Hayden is a good guy, he sounds super hot, and is genuine. These two deserve the HEA, and it's told in both their points of view.

I also was a big fan of the show's hair and makeup stylists, they were a hoot!

I received an arc of this.

If I thought I hated reality shows now, I really do after this story. It goes to show you that nothing is on the cusp and the actual people in the show have no say. They just do what they are told. The producers and writers tell them what to do to make the drama and intensity as well as every action each contestant does. I always thought this was true in the back of my mind but I wanted to believe that some of it was actually real. It makes me think of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette as well as all those other shows we call reality tv. Is none of it true? This book confirms that. Regardless, no matter what I feel about reality tv, this was a great story. I didn’t expect Emily of all people to be put on a show like this. She struck me as someone who was really shy and didn’t want attention on her, and that was the little bit I read of her in Cassie’s story. I didn’t think that after so many books I’ve read that authors would go with a game show or reality show theme to tell someone’s love story. I’ll admit, it was a bit strange for me in the beginning. I wasn’t used to it, nor did I like it, reason being because I hate reality shows. I make fun of them all the time. It was hard to read at first, which is why it took me three days to read this book. I couldn’t get behind that this was how Emily’s story would be told but Lauren did it justice. She got me sucked into the drama both Hayden and Emily were a part of but yet the story itself was all about them even though the theme was reality tv. The way Emily and Hayden connected was the most real part about this story and I think that’s what Lauren was implying. I don’t think she, the author herself is into reality tv either. I think she just wanted a backdrop of it to explain how calculating they really are. I didn’t know how Hayden and Emily would come together, pun intended, on a reality show theme but I’m so glad Lauren explored the ways this could happen. It helped that she had friends on Emily’s side that wound up being her make up and dress people. If you think about it it makes sense. Of course the people you spend the most time with on a show could turn out to be allies and friends. Without them helping her, I don’t know how Emily would have been able to sneak out and see Hayden to have a moment of realness. I saw the toll being fake, and on a show had on both of them and it was exhausting just reading it. When we find out what was happening behind the scenes it was a plot twist but nothing new. The person who ends up telling Emily was surprising though and then to see what she did after the bombshell is dropped on her was awesome. It was a great read and I’m looking forward to the next one.

First off, I want to say I really enjoyed the story (5 stars) - a look inside a bachelorette style show and the difficulty of forming a true romance within that time frame and the unreality of filming etc. I adored the secondary character's banter - eg hair and makeup. The nasty stuff the producers got up to behind the scenes was well done, as were all the twists and turns relating to the show.

It was nicely written - until the sex scenes happened. For me, they did not suit the 'romance' image of this book. I enjoy reading well written sex scenes in all genres, but the stark, erotic nature of how these ones played out within this context, simply did not work for me and in my opinion dragged the story down. Actually (shock/horror - I rarely say this) I think the book would have been much better without the porno based scenes.

You don't need to get to it like rabbits, to 'show' love. Write a slow burn scene, mess with the reader's head. Take your time to write the sex scenes in depth - stretch them out - use sensual words - write about feelings at the same time as showing. Not simply slot descriptive sex in because you are trying to attract a certain audience. Show the reader there's a difference between a romance and a slutty porno. This book was about Hayden and Emily falling in love and I didn't feel that at all.

Looking at the ratings though, lots of readers do not agree with me and that's fine, we all have our own opinion.

Also, for me, those scenes did not fit in with Emily's character. She blushed constantly and was explained to be a simple girl next door type, who, it was stated, never kissed on the first date and needed time to get to know a man. Emily had a complete character change in seconds, whenever she and Hayden were alone. This is the only way I can describe it :- you're watching a lovely, intense, romance movie, then someone wanders into the room and flicks your TV to a porno movie scene that has lots of dirty talk and "F", "P" and "C" words flying about. Confused, you turn the channel back to your movie - where the sex scene has just wrapped up and the couple are in afterglow - back to romance. Those scenes could have been written so much more beautifully... The scene in the limo at the end clinched my rating, so sorry about that.

I will read more from this author.

I received this book as an Advanced Reader's Copy. The opinions given here are my own.

I thoroughly enjoyed this delightful often humorous book. The story revolves around reality shows, in particular those that purport to find the perfect date or match. I have only observed the advertisements for these shows and have not in the least been tempted to view even one! Yet, that's exactly what this book is about, and it is a delightful romp. Doesn't change my mind about watching these shows on television, but I loved Lauren Landish's writing and this one was no exception. LOVED IT! Her books are well-plotted, filled with interesting characters, both good and not so good. A few I'd love to see again in another book, i.e. McKayla and Brad.

The chapters change points of view which gives further incites on or main characters: Emily Parks and Hayden Bishop.

Emily is working her way through college to become an elementary school teacher by being a nanny to three delightful little children, who adore her, as do her employers. She catches as an advertisement for a reality show and decides to enter it. She thinks of herself as rather plain and boring and has no aspirations to even get a tryout. Then, we have our hero, Hayden Bishop a tall muscular exceedingly well-built specimen of manhood. He is confident, wealthy, and models both on runways and for individual top men's clothing designers. His last photo shoot ended with Hayden walking out on the photographer as he wanted a bit more skin to show than was in the contract and he refused. His publicist soon has him trying out for this television series with the promise of great possibilities to come from it. hmm...

Emily is chosen and Hayden is also chosen to be one of 30 men to entice her. Two of my favorite people are her hairstylist, McKayla and her makeup artist, Brad. The two of them squabble throughout the books until the very end when they unite. The show series consists of a series of contests for the men followed by some getting eliminated until only two are left.

It's a fun read. A bit crazy, and I enjoyed every bit of it. A bit of angst at the end resolves into our HEA. Well worth the read, but hten I think that of all of Lauren Landish's books. Looking forward to her next books!

A new take on reality TV, Lauren Landish has created a love story like no other. Emily auditioned for this show not knowing what she was getting herself into. 30 bachelors, and in the end, she will hopefully be left with the one that is the perfect match! Hayden, a former baseball player with a career ending injury is looking to extend his career with his stint on this show. What he wasn't expecting was to fall for the girl. Landish has again written a story immersing you into the lives of the characters. She has a way of writing making you feel like these are your friends, and you are right in the experience with them! This reality TV series is just as we all expect. Yes, we love to see all the fights and dates, but the behind the scenes is where it's at. Finding the place where there is no cameras, getting to know the men and their motives, choosing who we friend and who is there for their own gain. It's both aggravating and fun as I listened, hoping things would turn out as I wanted. Hayden is truly a man of character, and as the story progresses and eliminations are made, we get to see his reactions to the cuts. Having the male perspective is enlightening. Emily is in the toughest spot I think. 30 men to try to get to know, 5 minutes here and there is almost impossible to determine a connection. But with the two of them, it's there and impossible to ignore. But remember, it's reality TV, ratings are the important factor and the competition is high. Will the game play out as expected? Take some time to "watch" this season. It's complete entertainment with a lot of steam and a few surprises.

Lance Greenfield is perfect as Hayden. His voice is warm and passionate, frustrated and loving. He gives Hayden and a few other contestants real personality, and you feel like you know them all. Carly Robins gives her all to Emily. I love her portrayal as I could see myself in Emily's position with the same inflections and emotions Carly uses. Their performance is wonderful.

Reviewed on behalf of Reading Through Her Eyes book blog.

I have to admit, I am not a fan of reality TV. However, I loved this book. Lauren Landish really knows how to mix just the right amount of humor with just the right amount of romance to come out with an emotional yet funny story.

How do you choose the man of your dreams from a pool of 30 eligible bachelors, all while trying to do so in front of a camera? That is the predicament in which Emily finds herself after being cast on a reality TV show.

Emily is a sweet, simple girl working as a nanny when she applies for and is chosen as the star of ‘Matchmaker’. She wasn’t aware what the show was about when she applied, but due to a contract she has to go through with it.

Hayden was bound for baseball greatness when an injury ended his career before it got started. He is now a model looking for work after walking out on a job due to an overzealous photographer. His manager gets him a possible gig on a new reality show called ‘Matchmaker’. Although hesitant, Hayden goes to the interview. There he catches a glimpse of Emily and is immediately smitten. So when the producers offer him a spot as one of the bachelors, he takes it.

Emily and Hayden have an instant connection and he is definitely one of her favorites to win the show. The other favorite is a guy named Lee. Lee is great on camera, if not a little pushy, but behind the scenes where Emily doesn’t see, he is a jerk. She thinks he might be a decent choice and also grows closer to him.

As the show progress and Emily eliminates bachelors, her and Hayden’s attraction grows. It is obvious to everyone that she favors him. They spend some ‘extra’ time together and Hayden is positive that she will pick him.

Emily whittles the bachelors down to the final two, Hayden and Lee. She wants one man more than anything, but the show’s producers have another idea in mind. Will ‘reality TV’ manipulations and misrepresentations cause two people in love to miss out on their opportunity for a future together?

Pick up this quick, sexy, fun read today!

Love Connection Game Show

Matchmaker is a fun read with lots of reality TV drama.

Emily Parks is rockin’ the girl-next-door/siren look that has her 30 suitors agreeing she’s one beautiful woman. She’s smart, funny and just what TV executives are looking for in their newest reality game show called The Matchmaker. Emily loves watching reality TV, so why not grab for the opportunity when it presents itself? Emily has an instant attraction to one contestant, and he’s not hiding the fact that the feeling is mutual. But the problem is finding some down time to really get to know each other. What Emily didn’t expect, though, is how much behind-the-scenes manipulation affects the outcome of the show. She’s attracted to one gorgeous man hunk, Hayden Bishop, but can she trust that his feelings for her are real?

Finding a love match is the last thing Hayden Bishop expected on reality TV. He knows Hollywood is all smoke and mirrors, and things are not what they seem. But one look at Emily has him doing a double take. Hayden is a model, his career in baseball was cut short from an injury. Sought out for his gorgeous good looks, his agent books him as one of the suitors on The Matchmaker to advance his career. Now he just has to make it to the finals and beat out the competition.

The Matchmaker had an unexpected twist towards the end, and I thought all was lost. But the resolution to the mess that separates Emily and Hayden is wonderful. I was cheering for them. Although I was hoping a lot more sexy time for our lovers during the show, the ending made up for it. And what a fantastic epilogue that really rounded this romance. Sigh-worthy. Loved the supporting characters of Emily’s makeup team, McKayla and Brad. They really brought fun and humor to the mix.

I received and voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

So many men vying for her heart.. What could be wrong with that?

Reality T.V. meets the young and defenseless-looking for all the right things in all the wrong places in this hot and hilarious tale!

* Sighs sits back, looks at the teenage daughter. (Who has no clue what I am reading)- “ Yep. This (points to Kindle) is why I don’t watch reality T.V” * * Daughter mumbles something about “my fictional habits probably being close to whatever I was reading”(creepy, she knew that), stalking off still mumbling “adults never stop with the WEIRD” *
While my sweet, wonderful daughter, who I assume still lives in the body that walks around our home and looks at me occasionally has a smallish point, my reality t.v knowledge is not much but even with that in mind:
I. LOVED. THIS.BOOK.
I could not help but be drawn into the storyline from the very first few pages!
The frustrating ever-evolving saga throughout the twisted so sweet storyline had me wanting to throttle certain characters and cheering on the others!
Had me all over the place!
Emily and Hayden’s connection is off the charts hot! I started to question myself on how much I was enjoying watching the funny, white-hot mayhem unfold * winks *
I don’t know how Lauren Landish does it, but with every well written take me away story, I become more invested in the lives of the characters she creates!
Fantabulous non-stop read that has me hyped to continue my Obsession with her creative fictional works getting my Grabby Hands On MotorHead! * I heart Mckayla*
Infinite Star Novel!

Emily has just been accepted to be the lead on a Reality TV show, while she loves watching them she is now nervous of screwing up and where millions of viewers will see it. She never expected to meet Hayden a man she has instant attraction to who makes her feel like she has never felt before. Hayden a man who is a Model but not a very famous one goes to be on a TV show. From the first moment Emily and Hayden see each other something changes for the both of them and they just might find true love on a Reality show after all.

What I enjoyed most about Matchmaker was watching the chemistry build between the two, watching them try to get to know each other as best as they can with camera's in their faces and all the crew in the same room, seeing how much Hayden really feels for Emily but being a reality show not sure if its true on both sides or just for the show. Seeing how their are other parties who are willing to anything to win even if they are a snake under it all.

This book was amazing, I really enjoyed every page. This book has Emily a woman who thinks she is just a normal average woman who got picked out of millions to be a lead in the new show Matchmaker, while she is very nervous she wants to do her best but she never expected to fall for one of the guys, Hayden a man who is his own man finding someone to he wants to live life with by his side, but not knowing how the show will go and if she will pick him or Lee, a love story! If you like stories like this, then Matchmaker is a must!

Emily loves reality tv so when at the end of a show when there's a chance to apply to be on a new reality show she jumps at the chance. She is blown away that she is chosen to be the star of the next show but that doesn't stop her from being nervous about what's to come. Hayden is a model and after a photographer tried to get more on film than Hayden wanted to show he walked out of the job. His agent tells him about a possible reality job but Hayden doesn't want to do it but his agent already sent his info in. Hayden is dreading the audition until he sees a beautiful woman in the hall and finds out she's on the show too. He thinks maybe it won't be such a bad thing after all. Emily still isn't all that sure about the show but she'll go along because she is interested in finding her match. Out of all the guys she's really attracted to Hayden however things do not go as plan on the show. Emily is swept up into a show that sometimes doesn't even feel like real life. Will Emily find her true match?

OMG! I loved this book. I laughed out loud at parts and wanted to throw my kindle aside at other times. This story is about Emily who is the nanny for Mindy and Oliver. With each book Lauren Landish bring yet another character from this group to life. I can't wait for the next one. If you haven't read this book please do so now its a must read.

I received a copy of this in exchange for an honest review.
