This is an excellent book to give young “men” to read when they start to discover “girls”. People who are also gender fluid and non-binary can also benefit from the readings as well.
It encourages the reader to step out of the World and not follow along. The main question that is often posed is “How would you feel if some guy was doing this to your sister.” Do be that guy.

TERRIBLE!!
This book is given out for free in my school, and I read it out of curiosity. First of all, the technical aspects of this book are abominable. Evert outs himself as gay and then says being gay is a cry of help in ALL cases of homosexuality? Multiple sections of this book are vaguely incestuous too. This book encourages harmful and conformative behavior in both men and women. PLEASE DO NOT give this book to young men, it upholds benevolent sexism and paternalism.

Found this in a box of old things from ~2009. And I'm mad about it!
I'm going to start with something extremely incendiary - This book was given to me at a camp, and the man who handed out this book to me is now a convicted pedophile. I have only known predatory men to say things like this book does. Men who subscribe to the rhetoric in this "book" (pamphlet, really) are going to it for what they already feel - shame. They feel they are on the wrong path, and they will read this book and nod along, all while still ignoring the full humanity of women, seeing them as the "other" with a wall in between them which they must perform certain rituals to pass through.
This book is only regurgitated rhetoric around being a "gentleman" who is responsible for maintaining the purity of women in his life (including...his family??? your sisters' and daughters' "purity" is brought up a lot), around the slippery slope mentality that once you give in, you're a goner.
If your church is passing it out, it's lazy. There are far better, more nuanced conversations to be had about sex with young Christians, and really churches should coach parents on how to have the conversations, rather than having it themselves.
If your camp is passing this out, it's WEIRD. Don't trust a camp that takes this responsibility on themselves. There is almost always someone looking for vulnerable students.
If you are giving this book to your child, you are not prepared to have these conversations, you are just looking to pass the buck to someone who says what you heard growing up.

¿Cómo convertirte en el hombre que Dios quiere que seas?
Este librito nos habla de la castidad, nos explica un poco qué es. Ahora, al explicarlo nos hace ver que la castidad es una virtud que todos queremos vivir, que es ésta la que nos permite amar de verdad, pero que no siempre estamos dispuestos a adherir a nosotros.
Jason Evert estructura el libro a través preguntas que todos los hombres nos hacemos en algún momento de nuestras vidas, como por ejemplo: ¿qué quieren las chicas?, ¿para que existe la castidad?, ¿vale la pena esperar?, ¿qué tiene de malo (“ todo el mundo lo hace”)?, etc. Y usa ejemplos muy cotidianos de situaciones que vivimos los hombres con respecto a estos temas en los distintos ámbitos en que nos desenvolvemos. Es muy común que nos sintamos identificados en alguna de las narraciones que hace, por lo que su criterio resulta muy cercano y acertado, permitiéndonos reconocer que eso que “todo el mundo hace” no está bien y no me permite ser el hombre que quiero ser.
Lo cierto es que el texto da muchas respuestas y da una clave al final, sin la cual lo demás resulta imposible. Pero hay que recordar que estas respuestas son ilógicas para el mundo, por lo que vale la pena tener la mente y el corazón abierto para los consejos que nos da Jason. Este libro enseña a los hombres a ser hombres de verdad, amando de verdad a las mujeres.

Every book I read from Jason Evert is insightful and it was really interesting what guide he gives to guys on dating and the tips to win over a woman's heart and I absolutely agreed with him.

Pure Manhood, geschreven door Jason Evert is echt een aanrader voor jongeren. De 83 pagina's lezen erg vlot, zelfs als je geen boekenlezer bent zou dit geen probleem mogen vormen! Het boek doet je nadenk over je gedrag tegenover jezelf en anderen met zeer veel verwijzingen naar Heilige zoals Johannes Paulus II, Johannes Chrysostomus, Thomas van Aquino...; naar het evengelie en naar zoveel andere gelovige teksten.
Persoonlijk heeft dit boek mij echt geholpen dus als je twijfelt om het te lezen: zeker lezen!

Solid like an erect pens
I would definitely recommend this book to any young adult 'boy', growing up in a gender confused society. This book does not just appeal to the theology, it also offers some practical insights into reclaiming your sack back and growing a spine.

I read this booklet through before gifting it to my little brother. The author addresses common questions that young boys may be asking themselves regarding chastity and being a gentleman. I like that Evert is direct and kinda funny. As a woman, it helped me understand the struggles men can have.

I came across this little book by chance. It has helped me a lot on the path to purity and to understand the characteristics of a true gentleman. The examples are clear, direct and with a message. I feel that the book was written very quickly, it covers many topics but some need deepening, but I think that the author did it intentionally, so that we go to his other books, which I have not had the opportunity to read.

This is an excellent book to help you teach your boys how to be a pure man. It's also an excellent read to help anyone overcome temptation toward sin. I highly recommend it.
