Highway Drifter

Rate this book
Detective Amir Mehdi may have only been a homicide detective for three months, but he had stumbled onto a nightmare. Someone was killing people. And, convincing his captain that these homicides were connected became increasingly difficult, until he met Lt Krista Shapiro from South Dakota’s State Patrol.
As the unlikely duo stumble through their investigation, they find one man.
One man who appears to stand out from the locals.

Justice Chadwick loved to hunt…for men.
The hot hunk was on a mission. Well, maybe two missions.
Getting laid…and finding a killer.

One out of the two cravings was a certainty…Justice was going to get laid.
The other problem? Well, he’d leave that up to the two cops; the plump blonde lady lieutenant, and the other dude…the one who needed a little boost in confidence.

This was a pretty cool story. You have a sassy highway drifter, a couple of keystone cops and a psycho killing young men. All this leads you a odd chase down some seedy taverns in South Dakota.

Wow..This is a fantastic story one that I couldn't put down, Justice wouldn't let me. Its a mystery as well as an FM and MM romance. I laughed at Justice's humour and his sarcastic comments. Okay as you read you'll be trying to find out who Justice is especially at the start. The profile of the killer almost matches him but one thing doesn't add up. Justice maybe a long time highway drifter but this time he's on a mission that just might change his ways. The sexy scenes are good but the connection to one guy for Justice is always there. The ending....OMG it was absolutely perfect, the things Amir and Krista have to do, they'll be showering for weeks lol.
Justice was having a relaxing drink at a bar when chap from sat next to him. Cade was passing through to next destination and hooked up with Justice. Justice loves his hookups but hes searching for something.
Amir 25 was only a detective for 3 months. But hed been connects dots to a serial killer. Partnered with Lt Krista they hoped to find the SOB.

Follow Your Heart

This was such a great book!

Not just because of the twisted plot or the driven characters. Not because of the in-depth description of small towns in South Dakota which were eerily accurate. (I grew up there.) Not even because of the fear of coming out of the closet to a large family of ranchers.

It was because of the wonderful story created by the author. You unraveled the sequence of events right along with the police officers. The building romantic relationships were the perfect counterpoint to the tension unraveling along I-90.

Weeellll, its not a DNF but I did start to skim just before the half way mark, I skimmed a fair bit actually, and I feel bad about it because anything else that I've read of this author I've loved. This just didn't sit with me, stuff was repeated too much, chapter after chapter, it got a touch boring. No disrespect to the author, sorry Ms. Hauser, it just wasn't my thing.
