True story: I used to cut up bodies. No, not for fun, you sickos–for work. After reaching the age of majority and fleeing the clutches of an overprotective mother, I went to university like a good boy.

More than a decade later and an alphabet soup of letters after my name, I found myself looking down the double-chamber of a microscope at an eyeball. Feeling ironically introspective, I decided that it was time for a change.

After seventy plus novels and more than a million copies sold, I’ve found my true calling, one that also includes a plethora of letters. Hopefully you see something in my catalog that you like, something to feast your eyes on.

I also have two spooky podcasts that are appropriate for ALL ages, so long as you like to be scared: P.T. Logan's Five Minutes of Terror and Camp Fear. Both are FREE and available on all podcast platforms. For MATURE audiences, I've created two fiction podcasts, Nightmare Residue and Bad Priest.

Conflicted

I'm really conflicted with the Chase Adams series. They are mostly well written and intriguing. Twists and turns pop up without warning making me stay up late, refusing to put the book down, waiting to see what happens next.
The conflict I have is with the characters. I HATE Chase Adams! She is a self-serving, bull-headed, b-----. She does whatever she wants, whenever she wants, to whoever she wants without any real repercussions. She jumps off the handle at anyone she feels is disrespecting her and treats all men like they were put on Earth to prevent her from doing what she thinks needs to be done. Then there's Stitts, the seasoned FBI agent, who is like an abused puppy who doesn't know any better than to take the kicks. Sure, Mr. Logan, in this book, tried to explain Stitts' reasoning as to why he lets Chase treat him like garbage, but I didn't buy it.
I enjoy novels with head-strong heroines who are snarky, sarcastic, or even a little sadistic, but also have a male counterpart who is strong enough to take it (I'm thinking Janet Evonovich's Stephanie Plum series or, for a darker, supernatural twist, Laurel K Hamilton's Anita Blake series.). Chase reacts to every situation with rage and the assumption that "they" are out to get her or, at the very least, sabotage her. She "sees red" and all logic and common sense (and decent humanity) are thrown out the window.
Still, though, I will read the next one (and the next one...) hoping that she will grow up and stop acting like a spoiled little brat.

Once I discovered the first Chase Adams book, I was hooked. It didn't take me long to read entire series (and I'm hoping we hear more about how Chase handles her demons). The only issue I had is that this woman was a walking disaster, strong but still a disaster. And she didn't care how she came across to people and I kept wondering, "this woman is going to get kicked off the force!" And yet, she continued on. And poor Stitts - someone who tried so hard to save her, and yet she treated him like crap! He was more of an enabler than a savior. I thought for sure that "Amber Alert" would definitely find some closure for Chase. I was so disappointed :-(

Why would she set out to destroy herself (and her family along with her), I'll never understand. As a foster parent to my granddaughter (whose mom drug addicted), it never ceases to amaze me how people out there thrive on their drug of choice even though they know that they might lose their kids!

All in all, great story! I look forward to you bringing Chase back out of the darkness and hopefully bring her and Stitts together. Cut her some slack, please! Make her Wonder Woman, not Wreck-It-Chase!

I have read all four book in this series, hoping that Patrick Logan will eventually give salvation to our main character. Yes, her demons and that dark side of her are apart of her character's draw, however, there is a point in which it becomes overdone. Her cyclical falls and rescues are predictable. The build up between her and JS needs resolution. Too many times, it has been brought to a brink and then abruptly abandoned. There is so much more Logan can do with these characters but it feels as though each book is repetitive scenario of chaos. In addition, the way in which the prologues are set up in these books, they allow any avid reader of this genre a predictable guess at who the antagonist(s) could be (give us less). I actually skipped it in this last book and the story read much better for me.

All that being said, I did read this series in rapid succession as I couldn't turn away from the train wreck that was Chase Adams. The writing is great and Patrick Logan is an excellent author. For all that, I liked the series and I beg of Mr. Logan to give his main character a break and let her find her way to JS or at least bring her some peace.

Patrick Logan’s Chase Adams FBI series was another series that I started reading in my local mystery book club. Book one we read about three years back. His books are super easy to read, a little unrealistic, but really action packed and fast reads which is why I like them.

The series revolves around a drug addicted FBI agent who is constantly looking for her sister who went missing when she’s younger. In the mix of being addicted and trying to find her sister she is finding herself in dramatic situations where she hangs on to the few people who still care about her and help her solve the cases.

In this book she is attempting to find a group of missing girls who are kidnapped and Chase believes it’s by the same group who took her sister. Her therapist and partner do not believe her and want to get her into rehab, however her partner has drug secrets of his own that are revealed, and Chase turns out to be right about the connection.

If you can get past the unreliable characters and the unrealistic storyline’s you can really enjoy the quick pace of this series. I will look forward to what happens next in book 4.5 based off of the sister.

Predictable& awful

I didn't think Chase Adams could get any worse but she did. Not e an the "revelations" that took place should change the horrible imprint of Chase Adams. The plot was.ridiculously predictable right down to what happened to Georgina. I had to skim it cause it was just an awful book. I don't care about what happened to Georgina or anyone else from this series. It's just a terrible series with one of The most unlikable leads in history.

Just finished another one of the Chase Adams books and am still frustrated that she chooses to keep falling on her face when she is depressed. I want to see her move on. She accomplished a major feat in solving her case, but she still allows her defeatist attitude to take over. And why is she still an active FBI agent? She is very good at what she does, but she allows the passion to push aside any resemblance to a normal life. I still enjoy reading to books but want to see her improve.

Wowzers!!!

This book was pretty great, but I’m really appalled by Chase’s behavior.. someone really needs to put her in her place.. she acts like an entitled drama queen, and her representation of women in general makes me pretty sick.. not to mention she’s representing the fbi.. I’m all for strong determined females, but Chase takes her attitude and behavior to a whole new level.. 🤷‍♀️

END OF ANY INTEREST I HAD

I've never cared for Chase but liked the other characters, quality of writing and plots enough to keep reading the series....but I don't have any further interest in her story and am so tired of her anger and the victim mentality that leads her believe she is entitled to be nasty. Nope, I hope she has good results in therapy but have no interest in hanging around to find out.

Drama and action packed!

This was definitely full of drama with interactions between departments and the parents of missing children.

I felt bad for Chase as she was really breaking down but I think it is going to help her to deal with the real trauma that has happened to her.

I think there is more that we don’t know and each book is peeling back the layers of these characters.

I really am looking forward to reading Georgina’s Story next.

This was good and bizarre at the same time. I don't even know what to say about Chase anymore or Stitts for that matter. Everyone seems to be falling apart at the seams. We finally find out about what happened with Georgie and Chase when they were kids. What ended up happening with Georgie is the bizarre part. I can't say too much otherwise it will spoil it for new readers. I knew what happened in the end was going to happen. Have to wait to find out.

Oh wow! What a heart stopping book!

I am worried about Chase, so Patrick you need to bring her back healthy. She needs to be in a story where for once she can stand tall and proud of who she has become. I've read Drake's and Chase's series both and now need to find some new story in which to fixate my mind! I can hardly wait for more!

Chase Adams books 1-4

I have enjoyed reading this series. I loved the fast pace, the camaraderie, and even he faults of every character. However, I don't think I will read anymore of the series. As a addict that has been clean for over 12years, and I know all about triggers, I'm so done with her heroin addiction and all she is willing NOT to do to get help

Found a new character I can't stop reading about her. First experience with such a dysfunctional main character . Chase has my attention and her partner stints has my sympathy poor guy . Fast paced excellent read and the end leaves you wanting to see what is next for her as a FBI agent and her drug addiction
As she solves horrific murders thru her passion for getting justice for victims.

Compelling read

Really good story line but totally unbelievable... FBI having someone so damaged on board... and a partner who also has secrets. Chase is totally horrible I have read 4 books and they are good story lines well thought out but Chase is like a spot on the end of your nose... totally annoying lol. I will probably read more but not immediately.

Love this story

Chase is a character anyone would like to be related to. Mr. Logan is an exceptional author to come up with a character that can make you want to know her personally. This story is exciting scary and emotional ALL THE WAY THROUGH. Loved it !!!

Installments...

Riveting. That’s the word that comes to mind when it’s all said and done. Reading these books that is. You can’t read just one, and it sucks when you’ve read the last “installment” (book) in a series and there are no more to read. Can’t wait for the next...
