Sweet Disaster by Ceri Grenelle is book One in the Stupid Awesome Love series. This is the story of Tony and Sophie. Tony and Sophie started off in a heated fight when Sophie parked her U Haul in Tony's parking spot at the apartment building he lives in and she is moving in too. It was a hot argument that lead to some hot sex afterwards. Tony can't get his mind off of Sophie and Sophie feels the same way. Tony was a great book boyfriend....loved his character. Really enjoyed reading their story. I hope to read more of Ms. Grenelle books soon.
Blurb: Sophie…has stupid awesome sex with a stranger.

Tony…has a new sexy neighbor.

This book was an interesting read if I can put it politely. I did enjoy the premise and the underlying love story between Tony and Sophie but what I didn't like was all the sex, it seemed that all this couple did from page one was a fight and then have great and fantastic sex. Break a few plates and yell and then let's have sex. That was the story in a nutshell two people who loved each other but were too stupid to admit it to one another that as the title suggests would be excellent for one another. The other thing is reading this. I thought it couldn't be this healthy to build a relationship on purely arguments and sex. I really liked the main male character Tony aka Antonio as you could see he wanted more from the relationship than a superficial fling of sex but Sophie, she really needed to get over herself, and ok, so you had a crap life and the men who have been in it so far and have been a-holes too, but that doesn't mean Tony is. Give him a chance, as hello, of course, he wants to be with you - he introduced you to his whole family - that means commitment in his mind. The book did eventually get it's HEA when Sophie finally came to her senses but trust me; she took her sweet time getting there and as the title suggests this book was one sweet disaster after another till it wasn't. I do have the other books in the series to read, but think I will wait a bit as not sure if I am up for another angsty ride this close but will get to them in the future, so stay tuned readers.
While a slow start, after about 20% I really began to get into, and enjoy, the story. I found both Tony and Sophie relatable.
Tony is an art loving businessman with an impending move to Rome. He’s the middle child in a great family. He’s stubborn, hardheaded, and not afraid to go after and get what he wants. Sophie is a lonely journalist with only a sister and friend to keep her company. She didn’t have a good role model of a good man and because of that, she’s skittish of relationships.
Tony and Sophie have explosive chemistry right off the bat! They bring something out in each other that no one else does. They just seem to fit, to go together, it just takes awhile to catch on. I loved their banter, it was cute and hilarious.
I love Tony’s family and how they were there for him and supporting him. I also love how they welcomed Sophie with open arms. I hope to read about the brothers and Sophie’s sister, Gemma next.
I really loved this book by Ceri and I can't want for more!! I loved Tony here. Tony is one of the characters that becomes your book boyfriend and you never want to let him go.
I was pleasantly surprised by how great this book is! It’s not as long as the average book, so I was sceptical going in. I was so excited to be proven wrong! Once I started I wasn’t able to put it down. It was a quick read and I finished it in one afternoon.
I REALLY liked Tony! Oh my goodness! That man…sweet, sexy and witty! I appreciated seeing a vulnerable side in a main male character. I could relate to some of the insecurities he had and adored how he trusted his emotions for Sophie. Sophie was a great leading lady that most women are can relate to. She’s headstrong, determined and isn’t able to trust her heart.
The story flowed smoothly, packed a lot of heart and was often quite funny! There were certain times I literally laughed out loud or had a good chuckle. Often times in a book that has a lesser amount of chapters it feels rushed, glossed over or incomplete. I am genuinely excited that’s not the case with this book! It was executed beautifully!
This is my first read by this author and it certainly will not be my last. I HIGHLY recommend this book to anyone! Seriously, it will NOT disappoint!

ARC Received for a Voluntary and Honest Review.
I love this book! It's fun! It's incredibly sexy and the two characters have such out of this world chemistry. It's everything an Adult Alpha Male Romance should be. Highly recommend!
This is my first book by Ceri and I really enjoyed it! Sophie and Tony really brought me into their world and I loved how they could be their own individual selves with each other. Their bickering was so funny and I loved how it was their foreplay. And the sex scenes was so hawt!! I loved it!! I like all the dynamics between the families and how it was Tony who so much wanted the relationship and Sophie just sayin it was a fling. I laughed, l cried, I wanted to really beat some people up in this book. And it wasn’t just the dynamics of Tony and Sophie’s relationship that was in this book that pulled you in and made you really think of all the relationship’s you have in your life and how they affect everything that you do. I can’t wait for the next book in this series!! I can only imagine they get better and better!! I definitely recommend this book!!!
I adored this book. The book has a great storyline with characters you can’t help but fall in love with. The author will take you on a wonderful ride as you follow along with Sophie and Tony lives . From the way they meet to the days and nights they can’t stay apart, the story will have you in it’s grips and not let go.
Sophie and Tony’s story is funny, sexy, romantic and their back and forth banter will keep you grinning if not outright laughing. It’s one of those books that once you start you just don’t want to put it down. I Highly recommend reading Sweet Disaster, you’ll be so glad you did.
Rcvd an ARC at no cost to author.. This is the first book I have read from this author and .We meet Tony and Sophie who started with a bang they start arguing over a parking space and as they are arguing they are also feeling the sizzle, so they immediately jump into bed, yup that is how to get to know someone.
Tony can be a rough person, expressing is native MY hustle. But this time he accidentally stuck gold. My feeling is that this befreckled Irish lass ha been and awesome woman to mess with. The love bug as started his engine.
A young couple with different baggage fall for each other.
They complete each other, but they don't communicate very well, partially due to prior history. In order to stay together they are going to have to learn how to open up to each other.
It was a good story and held my interest but the characters are little to sweet. I like more alpha and sassy girls. Even tho I did not connect to the characters it was still very written. I laughed and enjoyed it. Let’s not forget how HOT it was oh my
I know, another review this week. I will have to admit that this one was tough to finish at times. I’ve never truly DNF’d a book but this one almost became one. Let me tell you why…Sophie. I never felt a connection with her until maybe halfway through the book. Honestly, she acted like a shrew and while the fighting with Tony is supposed to be foreplay for them, I just couldn’t find it funny after awhile. In fact, at times, I skipped the smexy parts because of it. Shut up. I did.
That said, I LOVED Tony. Just loved him. I couldn’t find anything wrong with him, even though Sophie could throughout the whole book. I really felt for him in terms of his really wanting a true relationship with Sophie but she wouldn’t have anything to do with that. I did, however, understand why Sophie acting the way she did but after some time, I got bored. There is only so much fighting/dirty sex that I can take.
Of course, you are probably thinking that I hated the book. I didn’t. Not.at.all. In fact, once, Sophie FINALLY decided to open herself to the possibility of a real relationship (meeting the rents) that I fell in love with her. Did she do some things after that, that I shook my head at? You bet but I finally got her. Tony got her. I loved that line in the book. “I got you”. *swoon* What made me fall in love with Tony from the beginning is that even though Sophie held back, he never did. He was upfront and honest with her. Okay, his ma kinda lied but when the tough got going, he was always there for her.
Gemma…Sophie’s sister. OMG!!!! I MUST read her story. Sadly, I have to wait until September but she was a terrific secondary character for BOTH Sophie and Tony. Tony’s brothers, Nick and Santi. Same. The batting cage scenes were hilarious and it truly resounded with me the importance of family…no matter who is in the family.
I will not tell you how it ends because I honestly thought it was hopeless. That said, I really fell in love with the book. Just keep in mind that this book is dirty, sexy, funny, your heart with bleed out in some spots but overall, a book and a series that I have on my keeper shelf.
Sophie and Tony just took me for the ride of a lifetime! After a fighting match over a parking spot, some hot sex, and a week away Tony and Sophie start a unusual fling that turns into so much more. Their passion for each other jumps off the pages. Sophie is a complicated woman. She's been let down by so many men in her life, the biggest being her own father. She's a bit too tough because of it. She has erected an, almost, impenetrable fortress around her heart and good luck to any man trying to breach it. Tony is a passion filled man. He loves his family, and he loves freckles. (I have tons of freckles Tony!) He's kind and sweet but also argumentative. He lives for others, rarely selfish. These two together though? It's like a powder keg, explosive.
I truly enjoyed Sophie and Tony's journey to realizing their feelings for each other, and making mistakes along the way. The writing was spectacular. The characters were real. The banter was hilarious. Sophie and Tony fit well together, even if it took them awhile to see that. Tony has an amazing family and a great support system. Sophie has an amazing sister who is her support system. I'm kinda hoping those two sides meet up in a future book!
4.5 ⭐️ Ceri is a new to me author and I loved this story I couldn’t put it down! Sophie is moving in to her new building when a heated argument starts over the parking space her van is in! This cocky arrogant hot guy is shouting at her but with these heated exchange of words things become intense and sparks are flying,Sophie cannot deny her desire! These two have an explosive chemistry- together they just work but after Tony drops a bombshell how can it possibly work long term? Sophie refuses to let her guard down and wants to protect her heart! The banter and arguments continue as this seems to be their thing - it brings out more passion which then only gives us more of the hot and steamy scenes ! This is a beautiful pure love story filled with emotion, you’ll be laughing and crying as Sophie and Tony get to know each other and have to find a way to make it work! This story shows how very different two families can be, letting your guard down and trusting others, covers a sensitive topic also close to my heart! “I got you “ A brilliant must read that gives a bit of everything ! I can’t wait for Book 2 and what happens with Gemma!
When an argument over a parking space leads to sex, it is completely out of character for Sophie. She usually shies away from conflict but Tony brings her spark to life and he likes her spark. But it is potentially doomed before it can get going with an overseas promotion on the cards for Tony.
It was supposed to be one time only but with chemistry that powerful, once was never going to be enough. Tony is going to have to fight dirty to get Sophie to make any sort of commitment to him and to open her heart to even the possibility of love.
I found myself very quickly immersed in this story and invested in the characters. I was in awe of Sophie stepping outside of her comfort zone in reacting to Tony. I continued to be in awe throughout with equal parts frustration. This was a book that I enjoyed so completely and I can't wait to read more of this series.
It all started over a parking spot. Sophie and Tony hit it out of the park with their sizzling relationship. Their chemistry and passion are on fire. From the moment they crossed paths, they knew that this fling would be anything but ordinary. Sophie’s past has her walls put up high. She’s very cynical and her trust in men. With all stemming from her childhood, she has to learn not all men are like her father. Tony has his work cut out for him. To break down her walls and open up Sophie's heart. Tony is all about family, showing how to love and opening yourself up yourself to someone. With an offer she couldn’t refuse, a trip to Rome. What could go wrong?
I was pleasantly surprised! First time reading anything from Ceri Grenelle and I was captured by her writing. I truly enjoyed enjoyed Sophie and Tony.

"I received an ARC in exchange for a honest review.
I absolutely adored this story! Sophie and Tony together are hilarious but steamy at the same time. As soon as I started it, I couldn’t put it down. I was pulled in from the get go. I swear Sophie cracks me up. The stuff she says is just too funny. And Tony being Italian and Colombian? Hot, hot, hot! I just couldn’t get enough! I honestly can’t wait for Gemma’s story. " ~Amanda
"When Sophie moves into her new apartment, she meets Tony right away. He accuses her of having her moving van in his parking spot only thing is, there are no reserved spots.
Tony and Sophie’s story is explosive. Their chemistry is off the charts and their back and forth banter will keep you in stitches.
This is a lighthearted love story that starts as a no strings attached affair until Tony leaves to take his new job in Rome. I can’t wait to read more stories in this series! " ~Natalie
Ceri Grenelle gives delivers a crazy, sexy and sweet story of two strangers who suddenly realise that time means nothing in the grand scheme of life and love.
After having stupid, awesome sex, Tony & Sophie find that they are more themselves now than ever before, but as a deadline looms over their fling, will they find what is necessary to go the distance?
I loved the premise of the story. I was worried that after such an explosive beginning that it would slow down and lag, but it didn't. The plot flowed quickly, but well, and there was never a time that I had to doubt the chemistry between Tony & Sophie. I liked the quirks that were a part of each main character's profile. I genuinely enjoyed meeting most of the secondary characters in the book, and look forward to seeing them again soon in book 2!
I voluntarily read & reviewed an ARC of this book.

Sophie and Tony's meeting is unlike any I have ever seen. When an angry looking Italian guy starts yelling at me about a parking spot in New York City of all places, falling into bed is the last thing on MY mind. It wasn't on Sophie's either but that's what happened to them both. From there, their relationship grew. Tony has an opportunity to move to Rome and have the career he has been working for so hard, but with meeting Sophie and being drawn to her. This chemistry. This heat that overtakes them. He wants to risk it but Sophie who has been burned before wants to hold him at hands length. Will Tony's attempts to woo her in the time he has left work or backfire when she has so many walls up? That is what is so amazing about this book. This back and forth. The chemistry and sexy steamy love scenes. This book is amazing! I do highly recommend this.
This is my first book by this author, and I will definitely read more stories from her in the future. I absolutely loved how Sophie and Tony first met. It was very unique and it really set up their whole relationship. What I liked most about this story was that it was Tony who was the first to be "all in". I thought it was great to read the H of the story admitting his feelings first and trying his hardest to make the h admit she could possibly feel the same. Tony's family, and especially his brothers were all great characters to read. But it was Sophie's sister that broke my heart a little and I am excited that her story will be up next. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book
Sweet Disaster is what I refer to as a cuddle book! It was full of sexy with an adorable hate/love feel. Sophie and Tony loved to push each others buttons, they had a very playful relationship. I really loved them both so much! Sophie hasn't really had the best luck with her one past relationship, and neither did Tony. I think they both stumbled upon each other at just the right moment in their lives. I loved that Tony has a soft and sweet side, and I Love Sophie stepping out of her comfort zone to be feisty. I really enjoyed this book, it has a bit of a slow middle but I couldn't put it down! I'm eager to see if we get more of Gemma and Tony's brothers. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I am most likely going to be in the minority with this review of Sweet Disaster but it is what it is sadly. This is going to be a quick and straight to the point review. Sweet Disaster started off strong, I was excited to start it but it quickly went downhill. Let me honest here, it dragged on a lot longer than it should have and Sophie well Sophie annoyed me for almost the entire book and I feel that Tony deserved better than her. Tony I loved but sadly he couldn’t overcome how I felt for Sophie. Were there funny and sexy moments? Yes there was but sadly even those couldn’t save Sweet Disaster .
