Eren Tristram is running out of time.

He has two days left to live, and for Abeni Singsweet, time has never moved more slowly. Sure, he robbed her of everything she knew and loved- her family, her homeland, her heirlooms, and her ability to trust. But he was her first love. And seeing why he did it, and the man he’s become… and the woman she has… forgiveness isn’t as out of reach as she’d have said, even a few short days ago.

She promised herself she was only going to help Eren to complete his final act, to protect others, because it was the right thing to do.

But as the clock ticks down to Eren’s execution for treason, will she truly be able to leave him to his fate? Allying with him would see her executed alongside him. Very quick and very intense read, full of raw emotions, desperate decisions, and all-or-nothing situations that require total risk to get any hope for success.
Abeni, performing as Kaetha, has two more days before her to perform at the wolves' celebrations, showing herself in the best light and prove her reputation - and two more days to see her one and only love, Eren, alive. But as the time passes, she realizes she can no longer stand the idea of him being executed for his mistakes, and decides to forgive and forget, heading full-speed to the most dangerous performance she ever did.
Although all three books in this series are basically novelettes, they are packed to the top as full-length novels, with raw emotions, heart-squeezing tension, and characters you can't resist. Despair and love drive the plot forward at enormous speed, bringing twists and turns in quick succession. And then when you come to conclusion and so many knots are finally tied, happy or not, you can say wow, this was a ride. Totally worth the read, even if you consume the whole book in an hour.
