A short story written in old-world style, the language is formal and romantic and very akin to La Belle Epoque. Readers may at first miss the LOL’s, OMG’s and BOGO’s typical of 21st century speak, but here is no room for abbreviations or acronyms in Schenna’s piece. Rather, what it asks is “are you willing to take a leap of faith and invest in a time and feeling that skirts our modern edges?”
Utterly charming and worth the short-term investment. It is twenty-five pages in length but speaks to something much larger.
